The fight that took place in the Valley of the Gods was accompanied by echoing cries, the rest of the soldiers who came with Xin Chen fell bloody. Fighting for the blood of the finish. There was nothing left of the Fugi Fortress warriors, leaving their names on the battlefield with respect.
Only Xin Chen, who was surrounded by 180 soldiers, struggled to beat him in the rain. Xin Chen opened his eyes, taking out the sword abruptly. They had stopped for a moment before finally turning around to storm more and more ferocious.
It had been so long since he had last killed and his hands were stained with blood. Xin Chen was unable to sense anything else, including when fighting the core members of the previous Four Surveillance Units.
'Something is missing ..' her inner self. While his hand continued to slash at the enemy herd in front of him, while dodging a single crushing blow struck his stomach. Xin Chen took a few steps back, he was cornered by the hundreds of warriors in front of him.
If he used a spirit form he might not be hit by the attack of the soldiers, but he himself could not touch his opponent using a weapon. Sword included. And can only injure his opponent with that spirit power anyway.
The fight against the hundred warriors began to end unequivocally, Xin Chen was getting a few steps back. He was surrounded, behind him was only a high guardrail and was difficult to pass. Meanwhile the swordsman before him was still following, ready to kill him in a horde.
The steps of the man approached Xin Chen, only ten meters away from where the young man was standing at the moment. They were on guard before scattering weapons, paying attention to Xin Chen's movements and acting as their distance grew thinner.
Twenty of them were trapped in the Eternity Flame circle that had suddenly appeared above the ground level. Put them in a prison of fire so their other friends couldn't help. Xin Chen admitted that these 180 people who became his opponents were not random people. They had been trained and forged to become powerful subordinates. Protecting the headquarters now abandoned by their superiors was certainly not an easy task.
The twenty people did not look daunted, but the heat of the Fire of Eternity made their skin slowly melt. Xin Chen appeared in the midst of the shadow of the flames, unaware that someone was behind them, the warriors were looking for a way to get out alive from there.
The other warriors who were outside of the fire wondered at each other, no one dared to break through inside. From far enough away they could already feel the heat of the fire from there.
Unbeknownst to the other figure had stood behind them with a sword. One of them noticed the presence, causing the other to drift towards his view.
"Who are you?"
"Don't he be the enemy?"
"Just finish it!"
Lan Zhuxian started his agile fight, making the fellow swordsman disperse as he lunged in. A heavy sword fight ensued, Lan Zhuxian widened the distance and attacked the opponent who was separated by his friend.
Three people fell down, Lan Zhuxian was about to attack the other enemy just that one of them held Lan Zhuxian's foot and almost stuck a sharp weapon into his foot.
Lan Zhuxian gasped as the man who was about to attack him twitched, the man's eyes bulged and his mouth spewed blood. Someone had just stabbed him until the man lay face down lifeless.
"They must be cut down to their roots."
Lan Zhuxian was flabbergasted, seeing Xin Chen covered in blood. The Fire of Eternity disappeared and revealed twenty men were killed back there. The young man's finger trembled, he couldn't kill. Fear took over his still shocked face.
"Young Master, I ..."
"Go home if you can't fight. We are on a bloody road. Raise your sword as your opponent brandishes a weapon or you'll just die a coward who runs in fear."
Lan Zhuxian was still fixated with the words of Xin Chen who was now turning his back to face the enemies who were besieging them from all sides. Lan Zhuxian scanned the surroundings and realized there was no way out other than bloodshed.
They stood their backs to each other, watching the enemy's progressively squeezing them. Xin Chen prepared with his sword dripping with blood, while Lan Zhuxian hesitated to pull out his sword back.
"War is there to protect the people we care about. And sometimes to protect them we have to sacrifice the lives of others."
In that instant Lan Zhuxian still understood nothing of sacrifice and war. All he knew was that it was not good to do at all.
Humans did so, even in the Qing Empire, the power struggles of leaders often created civil wars. For things like money, honor and position.
"Young Master, will this land be peaceful?"
Inaudible for a long time, the enemy would soon be flocking to surround them.
Xin Chen smiled uncertainly, "It would be best if we make sure all the landmasses will not fight each other. With that peace will come. We only need one ruler."
Lan Zhuxian took out his sword, fending off the incoming attack about to stick it in his chest. A fistfight and a sudden blow occurred, Xin Chen swung the sword at the enemy's feet. Make them retreat in fear and then come back to attack.
"They've lost the leader and are still so eager to continue the fight. I wonder what was implanted in them to be like this." Lan Zhuxian cursed on the sidelines of the fight, he began to be separated by Xin Chen who was now more surrounded by enemies.
"Well, what am I asking for. Young Master daring to challenge these two hundred people alone is already absurd." Lan Zhuxian shook his head cluelessly, he was actually quite surprised when he heard from the residents of Fugi City that a group of soldiers and a person with no identity went to war on this land.
After delivering the children, Lan Zhuxian immediately chased after and found the situation as chaotic as this. He was worried about Xin Chen's life.
"Young Master, we'd better step back and gather reinforcements"
The swordsman next to Lan Zhuxian fell down and collapsed under his feet. A strong wind came, so sharp that it made his hair fly. Lan Zhuxian only realized his enemies had fallen and was not left out in the slightest when a mysterious fire burned them to black ash.
The remaining Four Surveillance Units began to tremble, only sixty people were left standing. Some advanced against it and the rest began to flee. There must be some among those who return to the superiors to inform them of this situation.
"Catch the runaway, don't let a single one live!" yelled Xin Chen. Lan Zhuxian blocked his opponent and threw a hard kick. Made the man fall down a little far away.
But no time to catch up, the man got up and ran away as fast as lightning. I don't care about my friends who are struggling. He managed to escape through a secret route known only to the group of Four Surveillance Units.
