The Demon Swordsman 2

The Demon Swordsman 2
Ch. 343 - The Curse of the Eye

Xin Chen started to get distracted when the two people were fixedly staring at him. Knowing what bothered the two important people was by being forced to Xin Chen bend his body as a form of respect for the two of them. After that only then could Yan Xue smile as widely as ever.

"I told you already. I will introduce you to the ruler of this 18-district. Sir, this is the man I mean. His name is Zu Chen. You must have seen his abilities during the war."

The 18-year-old wearing full armor did not respond. But Xin Chen could feel himself being noticed by the man sharply.

General-18 opened his heavy voice, Xin Chen was wary of every sentence that would come out of the man's mouth. He could have been caught in the threat if he wasn't careful.

"Open your eyes."

Justright.

Xin Chen clenched his hands tightly. He did not answer anything for a long time so the 18th General considered it a defiance.

"You're forcing me to open it?"

"For what reason did you force me to open it?"

General-18 put on a haughty stance, his emotions started to rise one level getting such treatment from Xin Chen. Seeing the tension that was occurring Yan Xue began to hesitantly want to speak. He felt like he had to defend Xin Chen or after this was done.

"You can hide something or a way with your eyes. During a duel with a formidable opponent even if you do not open your eyes at all. I know you can see. Now follow my orders or we'll fight one-on-one."

Yan Xue broke up. "My lord, I can guarantee that he's not hiding anything suspicious. He's just a little sensitive if his eye problem is discussed because it might be his way of answering displeased in the heart of Mr."

"Get out of there, Yan Xue. I'm talking to this boy." The 18-general advanced until there was only one meter left between them. His gaze grew increasingly cold staring at Xin Chen.

"Your choice is one. Open your eyes, right now."

"I don't mind dueling you if you really forcefully look into these eyes."

Running out of Yan Xue's ways to the point of not being able to stop the emotions of the 18-year-old General that were further triggered by Xin Chen's reply. He can only go with the situation. Xin Chen could have lost his life after arguing with this man because the 18th General was not a careless person who was willing to forgive the person who dared to anger him.

"Zu Chen, you better apologize. Do something if you don't want to see him go berserk." Yan Xue whispered to Xin Chen expectantly in dismay. Unexpectedly Xin Chen did as he asked.

"I apologize for not being able to follow your will. It's not that it has no reason, it's also for your good."

"What do you mean for my own good?"

Yan Xue was starting to be unable to follow the flow that was happening, she was sure Xin Chen must be lying like her door earlier. If he fails, then it is over. The 18-general had never tolerated anyone who dared to lie in front of him.

Xin Chen looked unconvinced to say it, reading the unwillingness that the 18-year-old was speaking.

"This eye carries a curse."

The two people in front of him were silent. Xin Chen cursed inwardly. Either they will believe his lies or not. Xin Chen started to doubt Yu Xiong said earlier. In difficult situations like this he did not think of a better way and chose to make up a story that is not-no.

Beyond suspicion General-18 actually seriously responded to it.

"What direction? Where'd you get that curse?"

Yan Xue seemed to know something, she spoke. "Izin spoke, My lord. It seems like the people at the border have descendants who have indeed inherited the cursed eye. Now I understand ... You don't want to open your eyes because you don't want to kill the 18th General, do you?"

Xin Chen did not understand whether Yan Xue was also making up or indeed he knew something that just happened to be related to his lie. His nod made General-18 look pity.

"What kind of curse has befallen him?"

"I've heard of it. I don't know for sure which clan I know at the border there are indeed people who have inherited power. These Cursed Eyes can kill anyone who sees the eyes of their owner. The rest I don't know very well."

General-18 turned his head towards the awkward-looking Xin Chen.

"I understand. This was a clan secret that should have been well guarded. You have nothing to fear, I won't tell anyone. Come with us. There's something we need to talk about."

Yan Xue let out a sigh of relief secretly. He walked parallel to Xin Chen who was following General-18 from behind. The man whispered very small.

"You better not lie about that."

Xin Chen ignored him and turned to look at the tall red tower. General-18 walked towards there, occasionally his subordinates came to give reports.

They arrived in a sealed room that was only illuminated by two lanterns. Xin Chen was welcome to sit in that somewhat dim room. Distinct from the outside illuminated by the many colorful lanterns. Yan Xue gave permission because she had to take care of the important files as well as record the new recruits. They have to move fast.

Not a minute had Yan Xue left that place a horde of soldiers came in shock. They bowed their knees at the door and waited for the general to give the order to speak.

It seems that there are some important needs that must be taken care of first. General-18 just left with the horde without saying anything. Letting Xin Chen be alone there.

Xin Chen felt no other presence other than himself in the room. He got up and looked around, looking like a working room filled with letters, ink and books. Xin Chen saw some covers in the book. It seemed that General-18 was interested in the science of war as well as military strategy written by one of the famous strategists in the Qing Empire.

The darkness of the room did not limit Xin Chen's vision. He read every line of the book and found nothing important. At the table there are only stationery and letters that have not been completed. The walls of the room were decorated with the head of a savage beast that was taped just like that.

By looking at the head of the bear in the middle of the room Xin Chen was sure there was another room across. The bear's head hides an elusive trick. It seemed that Xin Chen was unable to enter it carelessly as it was not far from this tower a group of people stood guard. It might be about ten people. He could not use spirit power carelessly.

His bright blue eyes seemed to light up in the middle of the dark room. Xin Chen found a scroll that was still sealed tightly and stored using a gold-colored cloth. There is a stamp indicating the letter came from the center of the empire.
