Ch. 36 - Ghost Village II
"Who are you?" The Lightning Fox began to be wary, the female figure wearing this mask looked very suspicious. As far as the Lightning Fox there were no residents of the Shang Empire who had such appearances.
"Find me first, I am Huan Rong, one of the alchemists of the Wei Empire..."
"Wei Empire?" Xin Chen coughed a little, between indeed his breath was tight and surprised the name of the Empire with its famous more advanced civilization.

"After investigating about the Lan clan that last brought the Book from the Qing Empire, I learned that it had been brought here. Unfortunately, no one can explain where the book is."
Xin Chen swung his sword tightly, successfully injuring one of the stealth eyes that had stuck to him since earlier. On the other hand he did not want to tell that the Book was now in his father's hands. It would only add to the burden on Xin Fai's shoulders.
"As long as the other messengers search for all the heirlooms around the world, I will settle here. Attack behind the darkness. No one can stop me, not even the Devil Sword."
Xin Chen started to get annoyed at the woman's words, he stepped up quickly and looked for an opening to intensify the attack, it seemed that his opponent this time was not a fighter type. It could be seen from every attack that the woman directed relied solely on stealth beasts to protect herself.
A little more about to injure the opponent, a huge tiger lunged from the side. Xin Chen slashed the sword into the tiger's eyes with a cross shape, as soon as blood was sticking out of the two eyeballs. Xin Chen did not get up before the woman managed to get it, slashing the knives to the point of injuring her skin. It's happening so fast.
The Lightning Fox herself was still preoccupied by the enemy, she did not even have the chance to turn her head towards Xin Chen who was now in a difficult situation. In time the enemy quickly stuck one of the knives right in Xin Chen's heart.
"Only so much as your ability? I shouldn't have worried from the start." His footsteps sounded faintly in Xin Chen's ears.
"Do you have a final message?" The woman crouched down at him, putting on a contrived face of pity. He stroked Xin Chen's face slowly. "When with this face of yours, I'm sure that when you grow up, you will become a handsome man. Too bad..."
"Bo-can you tell my teacher something..." Xin Chen's mouth was bleeding, and his eyes weakened over time. The alchemist woman was certain that the child was facing his current end. Of course he did not think much longer and immediately agreed.
"Tell him not to care about me..."
The alchemist woman nodded slowly, seeing Xin Chen's eyes begin to close. She also realized why she had injured Xin Chen so badly, whereas she was only a child. The scars of the puncture and incision that looked more like this mutilation could not save Xin Chen's life. He has lost too much blood.
Slowly Xin Chen's hand moved pulling the knife from his heart and stuck it in the woman's leg, the poison concocted by the alchemist woman herself was still stuck there with Xin Chen's blood.
"But lie."
"What-what?!" The steps of the woman began to look limp, poison was increasingly spread in her body. Seeing that Xin Chen could stand in such a state of body, a warrior as strong as anything would definitely feel trepidation.
"Now I know what it's like to not be able to die." Xin Chen looked at his bloodied hands. "It feels like you've got to hold all the wounds that are splashed with salt water, can't breathe or blink."
"You who.." the woman retreated in fear, feeling that something was wrong with this Xin Chen. His conjecture right from the start was true, surviving the poison that had claimed thousands of lives was impossible but Xin Chen could do without the help of any tools or medical equipment.

His face turned horrified, he seemed like he wanted to speak but was unable to bring it out. The woman's throat felt choked. He summoned more demons before Xin Chen moved even closer.
