The Demon Swordsman 2

The Demon Swordsman 2
Ch. 242 - A Lifetime Oath

Shui was quite surprised by what had just happened, Xin Chen had never shown his anger since they met. His much calmer personality since seven years ended was inversely proportional to what he currently sees. There was something that was truly regrettable and that uncontrollable power was proof of its destruction.

"Chens ... You, don't lose your way."

Those blue eyes flashed with murderous gazes, while hundreds of their comrades died without a single one intact then disappeared without leaving anything behind. Bai Huang began to sense that something was wrong with all of this. Xin Chen was not supposed to kill these soldiers, let alone slaughter them mercilessly. But not a single word came from his mouth.

Xin Chen disappeared to nowhere. The eight panicked, they were much more agitated than before. "What happened to him?" Tian Xi really did not know what was going on, but he clearly realized something was wrong with the young man earlier. Shui nodded unconsciously. "Change, is it because of you?"

"Whose change?"

"I have to catch up with him."

"Spread! Find out where Dong Ye is hiding!"

"Good!"

Nan Ran and Tian Xi were content looking to the east, there was no Dong Ye jam the soldiers who started to worry about what they had just missed that night. Their members are drastically reduced. None of the eight units wanted to speak up but to search for something hurriedly.

Shui grew even more panicked as he arrived in front of a door, a stream of blood seeping under the door's legs until it came out. Shui tried to turn the handle, locked from the inside. He used his power to break the object down to the floor. Looking at a head with eyes glaring at the ceiling of the room in a sinister gaze. Shui's palm was covered in blood, he tried to see more clearly. That young man was Dong Ye.

"Don't use your anger to hurt others, Chen."

He said worriedly, I don't know what has happened to the fox so Xin Chen turned into this. Shui walked into the room that was bounded with curtains. Someone was sitting there with his head bowed, a cloak hood covering his blood-drenched face. Meanwhile, what attracted Shui the most was a large lump of black cloth lying beside him.

The young man looked asleep, Shui tried to approach the cloth and suddenly the figure woke up. His gaze was as hollow as before, his lips too faint to just make a sound. "He's dead."

"It can't be ...."

Shui unfolded the fabric and saw a poor fox figure, the wounds all over his body were countless at all. Shui did not feel the power of the Earth Ruler Demon anymore from that body. No, rather he already had no power to be a demon. Shui's finger trembled as he looked at the corpse of the fox, he felt a deep sadness. The Lightning Fox was a figure he admired so much. Since they were hundreds of years old, foxes have challenged hundreds of the strongest demons indiscriminately. He is strong in everything.

"The Lightning Fox won't die that easily."

"When that day I came sooner. Maybe nothing like this will happen."

Shui denied it, "Don't put this matter on yourself. You're going to kill hundreds of lives just because of your teacher's death."

"Just, you say?" Xin Chen questioned the sentence, Shui closed his eyes trying to calm down. "I'm sorry."

"You have to keep going, no matter how sick it is."

"I'll just get lost." Xin Chen looked at his palm that was now stained with blood. "I'm part of a lot of things. And all that would just make me lose my way."

Shui smiled uneasily, there was nothing more he could say to Xin Chen. His gaze fell on the body of the Lightning Fox and realized something was missing from it.

"You remember the war seven years ago, Chen?"

"The fox lost all its power."

Shui grew more and more convinced by his conjecture, "At that time I was sure the Thunder Fox was in its worst condition. He ran out of all his strength, attacking him was almost no different from attacking an ordinary demon. If faced with people of the class of a great swordsman, it was likely that he would still lose."

"I think so too." Xin Chen added, "At the end of the war everyone turned to leave the burned-out renwu town. The Lightning Fox lost its power, staying there would take away all of its power. The forest of fog was already destroyed back then."

"He left Renwu City and avoided the humans, he did not pass through Fanlu Town and chose to go to another village."

Xin Chen thought back then that the Lightning Fox had no other choice but to head to the mountain, she was chased out by the customary elder. Even though he was an Earth Ruling Demon, his fear of humans still existed. The fox wouldn't be that angry if it hadn't been hurt. And the burns on some parts of his body were the actions of the villagers, he left the mountain and went to another hiding place.

By leaving a curse in that place. One of the villagers leaked the information to the other group and the rest as he saw yesterday. There was an unbalanced fight that claimed the life of the Lightning Fox.

"And the most important part is that the jewels were stolen. He wouldn't be able to live without power, hundreds of humans chasing him. Again, one of us fell."

"I've been looking for everything to save him, but it didn't work. With any rare gem or heirloom, the life of an Earth Ruler Demon could not be bargained for anything." Xin Chen clenched his hand, "Even the Fire of Eternity will not be able to bring it back."

Shui understood that more than Xin Chen. The power of the Earth Ruler Demon was thousands of times greater than that of humans. Including Xin Chen, he wouldn't be able to save the Lightning Fox that was even a huge size.

"You angry?" Shui smiled as he found Xin Chen's confused face. "That means you're still human. You deserve to be sad. But use that sadness to strengthen you, not to control you."

Shui didn't know if his words could calm Xin Chen down. He touched the Lightning Fox once more, "Let me keep him in my spatial dimension. I'll make sure her body's safe."

"thank you. Take care of him while I'm not looking for a way to get him back. Even if you have to look for it thousands of years ... I swear I'll try everything I can to pull him out of hell."

"Make sure the Lightning Fox won't be able to calm down after hearing your vows."
