The Demon Swordsman 2

The Demon Swordsman 2
Ch. 191 - Challenging the Storm

The news of this death spread so quickly, that it reached the ears of the Imperial Pillars. Many are suspicious of the peculiarities caused by Renwu City, the death of fishermen, the depletion of fish catch to high waves that are often seen. Responding to the unrest the community was sent about 50 soldiers at the beginning of dawn. The group was led directly by Xin Zhan, various equipment being transported into the ship that was indeed devoted to warships.

Early in the morning, even the fog still enveloped Fanlu City but the residents were already swarming to watch their departure. Many are restless, especially because of the many heard news that no one returned after going to Renwu City. Perhaps in the past seven years there had been a hundred more similar news and the presence of Xin Zhan this time, it was feared that the only child left behind from the Demon Sword was only a life.

Many people thought Xin Chen was dead. When they asked his mother-Ren Yuan to make sure there was no answer, making them all convinced that Xin Chen had died along with the flames that devoured the entire land and waters of Renwu City.

The voyage will be done in a few minutes, Xin Zhan accidentally saw someone standing on the edge of the sea, his mother. Supposedly Ren Yuan rested at home, the illness in his body had gotten worse in the past two years. No one has been able to cure the disease, even to this day.

Ren Yuan's pale face turned increasingly white as the sea breeze swept over him, the sunlight began to reveal itself along with the beautiful loose waters. Three weeks he had locked himself up, actually Ren Yuan was desperate to leave when the noise was heard on the beach by the discovery of a corpse. Long standing up, Xin Zhan finally approached her.

"Morning is not good for your health, go back home."

"You're really going to go ...."

"I'll definitely be back, I'll keep my promise."

At a glance Ren Yuan smiled, he was happy to still have Xin Zhan by his side. In the past, the boy did not care much about him and now Xin Zhan devoted himself to his mother. It was so comforting to Ren Yuan's heart, and it frightened him that even Xin Zhan would leave his side one day.

"I want to make sure if it's true, if he's still there I swear I won't take him off. Mom, wait a minute. Maybe it's only been three days that we've been there, Uncle Lan and Aunt Xiaxia will take my place to look after you."

"Zhan'er!" calling Ren Yuan before his son left, he ran around and thrust something at his son who was even much taller than him. Xin Zhan grew well in this shipping town, Fanlu. Tall, beautiful white skin as well as jet black hair followed Ren Yuan. His excellent, firm and humble attitude captivated so many girls. However, unfortunately none of the young man was interested in, he placed Ren Yuan above all else.

"What's this?" Xin Zhan's thick eyebrows met in wonder, a necklace with a clam tied in the middle, was indeed very beautiful but Xin Zhan couldn't help Ren Yuan telling him to wear it. This is a jewelry that is commonly used by seafront girls.

"And why are there two? You're telling me to wear it around the neck and on the legs?" xin Zhan's sigh began to fidget, he looked at his mother with a glare. It would be impossible to tie the necklace around the neck, which there would be the laughingstock of one city.

"Zhan'er, I made him a pair for you and your sister," Ren Yuan said so happily, Xin Zhan became heartless to see those hopeful eyes.

"Mother, don't say such nonsense" Xin Zhan said. She wrapped the necklace around her pure white wrist, with a clam ornament hanging under her hand.

"Ships will be sailing soon, Chief! Hurry over!" exclaimed the master while waving his hand on the bridge of the ship. Dozens of eyes were fixed on them. Xin Zhan nodded twice and said goodbye to his mother.

Before actually leaving Fanlu City, Xin Zhan could still see Ren Yuan's smile, while looking at the gift his mother had given him. "Today is my birthday with Xin Chen ...."

Xin Zhan had just recalled that, they had the same birth date. Ren Yuan remembered that most, and Lan An's marriage date with Xin Xia was at Ren Yuan's suggestion. Unknowingly one of the men heard it, he saw the shell wrapped around Xin Zhan's hand knowing it was the thing that Ren Yuan had just given him.

"Ah yes, today should be you and your sister's birthday ..." muttered the man, then cast a glance at the high sea where Renwu City is located.

"It's been so long since that war, no one can forget it. If your sister were still around, maybe she'd be just as good as you, you'd both be grown-ups."

Xin Zhan looked at the same sky, remembering a sign that read yesterday Ren Yuan brought home in tears. Whether his sister was still breathing or not, but if indeed Xin Chen was still alive he wanted to be beaten up by his sister. He already paid no heed to Ren Yuan, that was all he could think of now. Even as Ren Yuan was dying, Xin Zhan repeatedly sent out a boat carrying his message to Renwu City. There was never a reply and he doubted whether it was true that the sender of the message seven years ago was indeed Xin Chen.

Though the day was still so early but the cloudy sky was hanging in the middle of the sea, like almost touching the surface of the water that began to surge. The ship was getting closer to the black cloud with lightning suddenly striking the sail pole. Making others panic is no joke. The ship's body began to tilt when a strong wind gust hit, almost reversing the entire ship that even though it had a lot of cargo. Moreover, they carried many passengers and supplies.

One of the men who said, "In front of nature we are very small." He had given up his life long before setting foot on this ship, the chances of survival were very small. Moreover, they do not know what kah in Renwu City there is still tmpat to stop by. No one ever knew how Renwu City was.

The situation had been chaotic, the water began to seep everywhere. Xin Zhan shouted loudly once. "Let the load down! Lower load!"

Then oil barrels, some food supplies and other heavy goods were removed. Lightning came again and this time grabbed the center of the ship, making a sizable hole in the surface.

One of them pointed with great fear. "All, look! That cloud is what sailors talk about!"
