"You want to give it to us?"
Seen an abstract figure whose body was only up to his knees, his eyes gazed straight at Xin Chen. The figure he stared at retorted back, scanning the spirit body every inch of it and questioning where the spirit came from.
"If you're wondering who I am then let me tell you, I'm the mediator of the spirit that's been in the Book of Spirit Controllers all along. And one more thing, if you really want to give us that body, then first I'll tell you the risk."
Xin Chen was a little interested, although still surprised by the unexpected presence he was as good as he could be at being calm.
"Recommissioned?"
"First, you may never get a human body again. Except by using manipulation, which makes your body touchable. When you're in a body without form it means you won't be able to touch your opponent with your own hands either."
"And if I make my body touchable then I can also touch others, right?"
"Yes. You easily understand it."
"Hm, this explains why that day I was able to kill Zhang Ziyi."
Zhang Ziyi's death that day could probably be considered lucky, given that the man should have a rare ability. Having a body that cannot be injured is perfect in any fight. Once again, Xin Chen looked up at the sky.
"What if I give you my body, you want to help me kill that dragon?"
"The crazy hope. I can't promise you that. Your opponent is no longer our match."
Xin Chen snorted resignedly. Soon the spirit let out a voice, "But I can vouch for your life's complete safety."
"I don't need that."
"You need it the most" the spirit reproached quickly. "The dragon's "Fire of Eternity is already beyond your means. When you're burned by it, then no matter how great you are you'll still be ashes."
"Then I have one request," he said later. He looked a little desperate at the same time. "I want you to take care of that man, he's my father."
"Why?"
"Why I've always dreamed of it lately. I just feel like I'm gonna lose her."
Long time no reply, the spirit finally spoke. "Not changed at all. Human feelings are very difficult to understand."
He then looked at Xin Chen slowly, looking at that now confident eyeball. He was ready to sacrifice his body. On the other hand the spirit began to feel a burden on his shoulders, keeping another human who was not his Master was not his will, even if Xin Chen himself asked.
By obtaining Xin Chen's body then those spirits gained much greater strength.
"Don't regret this decision."
"Not going to."
"What if I told you, when you hand over your body to us, one of your immortality abilities could disappear?"
"As long as this book is not burned, or destroyed then you can still live. If you die, then your soul will be part of the spirit with us."
This time Xin Chen was completely inexhaustible, "Ja-don't tell Zhang Ziyi-s soul"
"The stronger the soul we take, the stronger the Spirit-Controlling Book will be."
It proved that the Spirit-Controlling Book had consumed many of the souls of the great warriors of the Wei Empire. So no wonder killing a village in one night is easy.
"That means that if the Book of Spirit Controllers no longer exists, then I will also die."
"Yes, because your body is part of the Book of Spirit Controllers."
Convinced Xin Chen nodded, the spirit walked towards him. The longer it got bigger until when it was only two treads away from him, the size of the spirit body was five times larger than him.
Xin Fai realized something was wrong below and shouted loudly.
"Don't do that, Chen-"
Too late already, the spirit ate the body of his son just as he ate Han Wu's body. In just one blink of an eye, the figure of his son disappeared from the face of the earth. Inattention opened the gap, Qiang Jun landed a crushing kick that hit his stomach, Xin Fai was thrown away. So far his little hope of winning had started to dissipate, moreover seeing the Lightning Fox fight that was beginning to look unbalanced.
Xin Fai could only grip the ground, some of his ribs crumbling from the kick. But the thing that hurt her the most was to let her child's soul be bound by a contract with the spirit. He will never come back like a normal human being. That is the consequence he must accept.
Qiang Jun came down, chased his opponent mercilessly and started attacking again. While Xin Fai wasn't quite ready to fight him anymore, his hands didn't stop bleeding. It had been two days since they had fought relentlessly, against a human who had no heart and no limits of strength was the heaviest hell he had ever faced. Ten times more terrifying than fighting an Ice Dragon at the North Pole that was so cold it pierced the skin.
Qiang Jun again swung his sword, Xin Fai struck him but who would have thought that his weapon was even pushed back, until it made the weapon slip from Xin Fai's hand and was thrown very far from him.
"In the end I'm nothing compared to you."
Xin Fai did not want to give up, but she was aware of her current position. Perhaps if he fought the original Qiang Jun the chance of winning was still quite great. But what happened now, Qiang Jun in front of him was almost never exhausted, the strength flowing in his body like a waterfall. Continuing to overflow, every wound he received will recover as before.
"Qiang Jun, if you can hear me. If you're in my position right now ... What are you gonna do? Your sword of pride is being fought over by mankind to cause war, and to put your children and wife in danger. What do you think I should do?"
Qiang Jun did not budge, he continued walking with both swords in his hands.
"At least I'll bury the gun with me. And make sure they're all okay ...."
He looked around, not getting the figure he wanted to see this time. Xin Chen had disappeared, not knowing what he had just done with the spirit of the owner of the Spirit Controlling Book.
Xin Fai pulled back the fallen sword, keeping it in the storage room. With that he's sure no one can get him out but himself. While Qiang Jun was still walking towards him, before long his steps accelerated.
Qiang Jun leaped high with both blades ready to slash at his opponent, in just one move his enemy's body would split into four parts, considering that no weapon of any kind would block the attack.
What happened next surprised them both.
