The next moment, a flash of something shot out from the direction of the rubble and struck one of them. The crossbreeder named Leon had quick reflexes and managed to block the unexpected attack, but he was still thrown back a few steps and crashed into the imperial army, killing those who were hit by a direct blow.
Gallas' eyes widened in disbelief. The shocking flash was like a black lightning strike. No, it's not even close to calling it lightning. He knew it was a traitorous prince attack – and it was faster than lightning! And judging from how far it made Leon fly, the attack was much stronger than the blow he landed on him a while ago. What's in the blue fire?
Something is strange. Gallas could feel the power and might of the prince that he could not even comprehend. Is this an illusion? Whatever he was emitting was something he and the other blasters had never seen before. It felt like something that was not supposed to belong to this world. Nah! It must be an illusion! There is nothing stronger than a crossbreed in this whole country!
Roaring, Gallas attacked. In his strong grasp, he slashed his sword at Gavriel but only to slice through the air. The large mixed-blooded vampire received a bone-shattering punch that came out of nowhere.
Gallas bellowed furiously and swung it wildly, no matter in the slightest that he looked like he was attacking thoughtlessly. But his sword kept slicing. His opponent's movements were beyond what his eyes could follow. How could? Blasteran angry, can not accept that someone – is not a blaster, at that time – faster than him. It was incomprehensible that he, a crossbreeder, could no longer land a blow on this useless traitor prince.
As time passed, despair welled up within him like a growing wave, threatening to exhaust his sanity. His breathing became unstable and there was a hint of panic in his originally haughty eyes. But half blood refused to admit that he was below the standards of this traitorous prince and he went berserk.
He pursues Gavriel with everything he has, his swing becoming faster, stronger than ever, giving Gavriel no chance to dodge and jump.
However, as if Gavriel had seen and experienced such an attack and force thousands of times before, Gallas' attack became useless before him. Each attack was easily repelled and blocked as if it was a playful blow coming from a small child. Gallas is too caught up in his own attacks to realize the mocking and almost bored grin on Gavriel's face.
Leon who was looking from the side, noticed it because his speed and ability were above Gallas and wondered how much power this prince still held back. Has it not reached its full capability yet? He could not help but faintly cringe at the thought and turn his gaze back to the fight. What monster did they accidentally unleash against Prince Gavriel?
...
Gavriel took a deep breath, focused his mind, and closed his eyes. The big lug of the blaster was now just a big red bullseye to him. He felt every cell was involved and active. Those hidden abilities and prowess could only be utilized by true vampire nobles. The power deep within surged powerfully through him. As his eyes opened, a red pomegranate glow shone as he directed his knife-like gaze at Gallas. The air around his body warped at the overwhelming aura leaking from him.
"You don't know that you've become a walking corpse." Gavriel mocked Gallas and grinned, giving a small scorn.
Gallas rocketed himself towards Gavriel, the sword slashing at his prey. The crown prince's army roared at him with vigor. Gallas felt his blood flowing through his veins. He could not help but be moved by such a powerful opponent.
Gavriel lazily avoided the downward slash. Eyes scoffed at half the blood. He swung his hand, sending a silvery bow that speeded right across Gallas' face. Gallas took a few steps back, quickly bending backwards. Sweat ran down his face along with small drops of blood between his eyes. That silver bow would split his head in two if he reacted a second later!
Standing back up, he saw Gavriel proceeding forward with steady steps. The two men narrowed their eyes. A clap sounded like thunder sending shock waves to the soldiers around. They see Gallas avenging Gavriel's next slash. To the audience's surprise, Gallas slightly bent backwards only blocking this deceptive simple gesture.
The blaster was then forced to use both of his hands to push back, making his opponent fly back. Gavriel smoothly flipped over and landed nimbly at his feet.
"Is that all you got?" Gavriel sneering. He then casually combed his bangs back, showing a clear insult and clearly insulting half the blood. "Very weak…"
Gallas shouted, angry at his ridicule. He pulled out another weapon. Now, one hand gripped the long sword, and the other a sharp curved dagger – both sparkled as sharp as razor. He disappeared from sight and suddenly appeared before Gavriel, both of his weapons flashing and slashing at a frightening speed. The two men flashed around the cleared area. Only a glance of them could be seen, appearing from one place to another, accompanied by the echo of the swung sword blade, the clanging sword, and the cut piece of flesh.
Gallas was then seen rolling to the right, to the soldiers watching.
Blood suddenly gushed out from the big man's body without him noticing until Gavriel's powerful fist smashed into his face and he was sent flying away from the army only to fall to the ground unlike a chunk of rock large. After the tremors of Gallas' collapse, a few seconds of stunned silence ensued from the two forces who witnessed this astonishing exchange.
Watching the fight and being able to follow their movements, Gavriel's men smiled. "That's it," Samuel grinned and then raised his sword as he shouted at the Dacrian soldiers.
"Our prince is the strongest, so don't falter! Kill them all!" he roared, and the spirits of the Dacrians surged as they also roared and attacked with higher and renewed strength. Their roars were so loud that the crown prince at the very back heard them and his dark face became darker.
Leon, Gavriel's crossbreed who was driven out in one strike, who stayed behind to observe now returns. Jump in front of Gavriel and block him before he can jump to where Gallas fell. He's not done with that guy.
Leon attacks. As expected, he was quick and precise. Gavriel can say that this blaster is definitely a class above the big lug he fought before. It was clear that his movements were well thought out and executed with intelligence. They clashed fiercely for a long time. Dancing away from blows and stabs at each other in a seemingly endless exchange.
Gavriel's red eyes blazed with excitement. It had been a long time since someone could withstand his movements all this time. Leon is good. He likes the look in his eyes.
As their swords locked and their faces approached, Gavriel spoke. "If you lose," he began, "swear your allegiance to me and serve under me."
Leon blinked in surprise, but he also quickly responded. "And if I win?"
"That's never gonna happen." Gavriel grinned and then the two of them pushed their swords and jumped back.
Their gazes locked onto each other as Gavriel tilted her head to observe her opponent while Leon quietly took the opportunity to catch his breath. This so-called traitorous prince was better than expected. A split second later, they jumped up and crashed into each other. Leon is overwhelmed by Gavriel's powers. They were both fast and strong, but there was something else the prince had missing within him. He didn't know what it was, but clearly, he was overpowered by whatever he didn't have.
Never in Leon's wildest imagination did he think that there might be someone who could make him lose his sword in a fight. Not until this prince. Who her? How can he beat a blaster?
Gavriel smiled at him as if he had just sealed a deal that Leon had not even wanted to acknowledge. As Leon's sword clang to the ground, his eyes widened, knowing that a powerful attack was coming at his head – when Gallas intervened.
The rampaging blaster came towards Gavriel like an angry beast – all covered in blood and wild from his last attack – and Leon cunningly took the opportunity to join him. The fight suddenly became more intense as the two blasters attacked Gavriel at once.
As the night draws nearer to dawn and the pink light of dawn peeps into the horizon, Gavriel's army begins to push the enemy back. Gavriel also held his own. Due to a mistake caused primarily by Gallas' indiscriminate anger, Leon takes a deadly blow from Gavriel and falls. Leaving Gavriel and Gallas fighting again.
Gallas, consumed by his pride and anger, was then thrown back with a single blow from Gavriel's sword, throwing him into the air like a rag doll. He hit the wall creating a bigger depression.
Gavriel approached the pile of rubble slowly. Half the blood had been destroyed by the impact.
"Wake up" said Gavriel. His voice was cold and flat. "I remember you saying you were going to take my head?"
What Gavriel heard from this man a while ago was the last thing that provoked him to take action. He originally wanted to play around with them and put them on slowly and made it seem as if he had defeated them with pure luck. He planned it like he thought it was too early for him to show his true strength, especially when the crown prince was still cowardly hiding behind his army and must have been watching him.
But hearing this bastard talk about taking his wife breaks any restraints and any plans that have been made before. He originally wanted these crossbreds to be under him because they were meant to serve true nobles instead of candidates. But what this man spouted was unacceptable. And the price of the punishment is nothing but death, right here, right now.
Gallas stood up, staggered. He lunged desperately at Gavriel, hoping to land the attack, but the prince easily dodged it and struck it with the hilt of his sword, then kicked it hard.
Half the blood spewed out blood and fell to his knees.
"awake. It's time for me to claim your head." Gavriel said once more, looking at him with fiery but deadly eyes.
Finally realizing that Gavriel had been toying with him all this time, fear began to fill his entrails, wrapped around him like a snake in his stomach. He had never felt such sincere fear in his entire life.
While shouting, the crossbreeder got up and attacked the desperate and miserable last – attempt triggered by fear. "Monste"
But Gavriel did not even give him time to finish what he wanted to say before Gallas' head was already hanging on Gavriel's hand clenched in his hair while the half-blooded body rolled lifelessly to the ground.
