Marrying the Vampire Prince

Marrying the Vampire Prince
chapter 33's

When his breath finally flattened and stabilized, Gavriel's eyelashes opened in the darkness, his eyes still piercing as usual and there were no visible signs of sleep covering them.

His head turned and looked at his wife lovingly. She faced him, and her peaceful face was now sound asleep.

A******* long but quiet comes out of her lips as she raises her hand and covers her eyes with the back of her palm.

She was a little worried a moment ago when she heard how nervous she was when she approached the bed.

Her reaction made her unhappy and very unhappy because it seemed like she was still uncomfortable and afraid of him.

But as he calmly thought about it, he understood why he felt uneasy and scared. After all, he was a vampire.

But when she recalled how she responded to her kiss so beautifully, a smile slowly curved across her lips that almost seemed a little evil and she looked at her sleeping face again.

Before he knew it, his gaze was fixed on his full lips.

The delicious lips she had just tasted and she finally felt. 'Damn it, ' he cursed inside her when he realized his fingers would touch her slightly swollen lips. He got up and leaned against the head of the bed, pinching the skin between his eyebrows lightly.

Looks like he won't be able to hold himself back as easily as before again – now he finally tasted it.

The other side of the bed was empty and cold when Evie woke up. Inevitably he wondered if what had happened last night.no, this morning everything was just a dream.

Did he not even sleep at all? He should have it while he was asleep before him.

Did he wake up after only a few hours of sleep?

Evie shook her head and hurriedly got off the bed as the memories of their kiss began to invade her mind again.

Elias knocks on his door after Evie is done with his personal affairs and he escorts her out of her room.

It was sunset and the food was prepared on the terrace of the castle. The snow had stopped falling but everything was still covered in white, and the place to eat was unexpectedly quite majestic.

He will eat on a beautiful terrace overlooking the city accompanied by a beautiful sunset.

He was still unfamiliar with the fact that in this place, their breakfast was not after sunrise but at sunset.

Elias had begged him yesterday to follow the vampire's bedtime routine, giving him the reason that the castle is filled with vampires and it is not good for a woman who wonders at midday which is equivalent to midnight for vampires. . Evi understands.

And she remembered how her husband told her that he was the only human in this entire castle, and he could be a great temptation for everyone in this place. So, he can only obey.

There was no reason for him not to do it when he knew it was all for her sake.

"Your Majesty can't join you for breakfast today because he currently has some official affairs, but he may be able to join you for dinner later." Elias said politely and a little carefully, observing his reaction.

Evie turned her gaze to the beautiful scenery. It seems Elias brought his food here because he did not want him to eat alone at the long table in the large, quiet dining room.

"I understand that he can't join me." He smiled at her.

"This place is beautiful. Thank you for choosing this place."

"I'm glad you like it, Your Majesty." She smiled back and Evie ate her food quietly, occasionally looking at the scene as she enjoyed her meal.

"Do you have anything you want to do tonight, Madam?" Elias asked after eating.

"Please don't hesitate to let me know if you have anything in mind."

Evie turned her gaze to the setting sun that was now about to sink below the horizon.

"I think I want to continue the tour that we didn't finish yesterday." That was all he answered, and the butler nodded.

After he finished eating, they continued their tour and as expected, every nook and cranny of the castle chanted nothing but subtlety and grandeur.

The only difference between this castle and Gavriel castle is that it looks a bit more ancient and has a gothic feel, making this place definitely suitable for vampires.

"Uhm... Is it just me or everyone leaving the castle because I'm here?" evie asked as they walked along the corridor. He had already noticed when they were going around this morning.

Elias immediately shook his head.

"No, no, Your Majesty." He even waved his hand in an almost panicked manner.

"Everybody is actually here. They're just hiding behind pillars and everywhere..."

"Why?" he tilted his head innocently but then, a thought came to him and he nodded.

"Ah, so. Must be hard for them. I think I should really stay in my room—"

"No, Madam." Elias disconnected. He was surprised by his own rudeness, but he seemed to be unable to accept what he said anymore.

"Please don't think that they're avoiding you because they don't want you. They actually peek at you secretly just to see it. Most of the vampires here – especially the servants – have never seen a human in their lifetime. They're just afraid they'll scare you and that's why they end up hiding when they sense your presence. Please look..." Elias turned around, and his voice echoed.

 "Stop hiding everything. Out!"

A number of vampires suddenly appeared out of nowhere, and they all stared at Evie – not with disdain but with eyes filled with something like attraction.

"seen? They just don't want to overwhelm you, Milady, because everyone knows you're the only human here." Evie notices some vampires nodding their heads at Elias' statement.

Evie doesn't know what to feel. He could see and feel that they did not seem to look at him as if he was some kind of exotic food, or as one of the lower races, or he was a dangerous plague that did not belong to their world. .

Again, his expectations were proven wrong. And he remembered Gavriel's words that he was safe in this place.

She suddenly became emotional and a little embarrassed, but she pushed him to the back of her current mind and did not let anything appear on her face.

The little devil on his shoulder whispered that they might just treat him like this for the time being – when he was new to them.

Still, his heart swelled with relief and he smiled, his eyes said 'hello', and everyone looked surprised and then bowed slightly to him.

Their reaction made Evie even more overwhelmed. Joy filled his heart.

Once they arrived at the highest terrace, it was already late at night. She had been wearing a feathered coat with a hood as she stepped out of the elaborately designed patio.

His gaze swept over to the city that was now alive and awake. He realized that he was getting used to seeing crowded places at night.

"You told me earlier that this place is His Majesty's hiding place, so I assumed that he had lived here before, right?" his eyes were still wandering around and enjoying the lively view of the night city.

"Yes, madam."

"Could he have grown up here?"

"Uhm.no, madam. His Majesty grew up in the capital when his mother was alive."

Evie turned to Elias, noticing the change in his voice when he mentioned about the prince who grew up in the capital and not here in Dacria.

"Did ... the royal family hate His Majesty since he was young?" he asked doubtfully.

Elias looked at her with a thoughtful look, but after seeing the burning curiosity in his eyes, the butler sighed and looked down at the city as well.

"Your Majesty didn't have a normal childhood because he grew up hidden in a dungeon." He said and Evie's eyes widened as her heart trembled at the information.

A deep frown was immediately etched on his face as he looked at her, begging her secretly to tell him more about Gavriel's childhood.

Seeing the attention and interest in Evie's eyes, Elias seemed to make another decision. He once asked Gavriel if it was okay for him to answer his questions about her, if he would ask, and Elias was surprised when Gavriel told him that it was fine.

He had no chance to ask again which things about him were allowed to be revealed to him because he also thought that the woman would never ask.

"Why?" he asked in disbelief.

"Did the emperor throw him into the dungeon because he knew Gavriel was really a noble?"

"No, Mistress. His Majesty's mother hid him there to prevent the emperor from knowing the truth about his existence."
