Marrying the Vampire Prince

Marrying the Vampire Prince
chapter 37's

"Alright, declare Duke Henry." Gavriel said and the Duke began immediately.

"Your Majesty, we are aware of your strength and abilities. You must be strong and strong—"

"Please get to the point, Duke." The prince cut him off, causing the Duke to sigh and then looked at him seriously.

"We want you to have an heir, Your Majesty." Said the Duke and everyone, except for Gavriel's men, looking at the prince with a sharp and almost begging look.

"You are the only true noble left. And now you go to war... if something happens to you—"

"Nothing will happen to me" Gavril said. The curiosity and interest in his eyes were gone. He was obviously disappointed because this was an important matter that the Duke was talking about.

"Your Majesty, we need certainty. You know how important this is. Please take this seriously. This is your bloodline that we need to protect the most at the moment. Not this city, not us. You have no idea how difficult it was for us to accept back then that the royal bloodline was completely annihilated. Many ancient vampires committed suicide because they refused to serve false rulers. There were some who committed suicide for failing to save the royal bloodline. So please listen to us, we've been begging you for years now. It is time for you to father a son and secure the royal lineage. This is the only way we can really relax."

Everyone agreed with the Duke and they all moved and pleaded with him, causing Gavriel to close her eyes and lean on the back of her chair, fully aware of where their pleas came from.

"I highly recommend that you take some noble ladies or more to be sure -"

"I have a wife." Gavriel's voice suddenly turned loud and as sharp as a rock so the atmosphere immediately became a little tense. But Duke is determined.

"But Your Honor, he's human, you know how rare it is for a human and a vampire to have children." Duke Henry argued. It's common knowledge that it's rare for half a vampire to be born.

That is why despite rampant slavery and the fact that many vampires use human women to satisfy their sexual desires, the number of half vampires has not even exceeded the number of four since the first half of vampires were born.

Half the vampire is a powerful creature. For reasons still unknown, these born blasters tend to be much more powerful than the pure-blooded vampires they consider special – main creatures.

After the birth of a mixed-blood vampire, no matter which family he came from, he and his family would be promoted to royalty and he would be given an important role in the empire once he matured. The power and power of half blood was too great that the vampires began to desire to father a special child.

Even the previous emperor and the current emperor blatantly wanted to have a mixed-blood child. And this is the main reason why many of these greedy vampires have many human concubines.

"We beg you, Your Majesty. We know you are a gentleman so we will never dare to ask you to have more than one wife. We just want you to have them as your mistresses until one of them becomes a father to you a son. So please, Your Majesty. This was for the sake of royal lineages as much as for the entire empire. And besides, we know about your marriage deal with your wife, that you're not even allowed to touch her without her. Permission -"

"Enough!" Gavriel's voice boomed as he stood up.

Everyone was stunned and stiff in their place as this was the first time they had seen their prince raise his voice loudly and coldly in a meeting.

"This meeting is over." He stated, an icy aura was lit up and his face was as dark as thunder clouds as he turned to look at Samuel.

"Gather everyone together, I'll meet the soldiers now." He commanded and Samuel bowed before he left.

After Gavriel and his men left, the Duke and the other officials sighed. Some shook their heads in disappointment at the prince's reaction.

"This is no good. I don't think His Majesty has the luxury to object to this matter right now. He knew what was at stake here himself more than anyone else. Heaven! Why is His Majesty so against this? "

"No. This is unacceptable. We can't just sit here, just twirling our thumbs."

"But how can we convince him? He's very against it and you know it's easier to move a mountain with a spoon than to change your mind!"

"Stay still.there must be something we can do!"

"Yes, there must be something. We just need to think hard enough. We can't just sit back and hope for His Majesty and his wife to conceive a rare crossbred child that we all know might never happen."

"Yes. No matter what, His Majesty should father a child as soon as possible. I don't care if His Majesty will hate me for this, but I will do anything to make it happen." Said the Duke and everyone nodded in agreement.

"Mrs, uhm .. do you want to eat on the terrace again? Something important suddenly appeared so that His Majesty could not join you." Elias hesitated in his suggestion, sounding remorseful as he explained the meal arrangement to Evie.

Evie who was about to take her seat came to a halt but she forced a smile on her face to reassure the butler.

"It's okay, Elias. No need to move places. I'm fine with eating here. It's not like it's the first time I'm going to eat myself" he replied as someone's voice echoed, drawing their attention.

"Do you mind if I join you, Lady Evielyn?" Evie turned her head towards the source of the voice, and a graceful gray-haired woman smiled, approaching her. This is the first time Evie has seen a gray-haired vampire.

They say that the main indicator that a vampire is old and ancient is their gray hair. The woman who walked towards him was still very beautiful and graceful, emitting the majestic aura of perhaps a queen dowager.

Could she be the late empress' mother?

"Duchess Aurora," Elias greeted the woman and bowed deeply to her.

Evie follows Elias' actions and soon does the same. He had never met anyone other than Gavriel and his men in this castle – even the Duke and Duchess of – so the nobles who suddenly approached him really caught him off guard. Is it okay for him to interact or stay close to her?

"Duchess, nice to meet you," said Evie and the Duchess' smile widened.

"I thank you for encouraging me with your presence at this banquet. I'm sure it must be difficult for an important figure like you to set aside time by deliberately coming all the way here to accompany me." Evie remembered to be polite and friendly in speaking as expected of a noblewoman.

"The pleasure is mine, Your Majesty. I've wanted to meet Prince Gavriel's wife for a long time since I heard of you." He answered and the two women finally sat down and sat opposite each other. After making small talk, the waiters put down the dishes and the two women started eating.

"I hope you enjoy your stay here, Lady Evielyn."

"Yes. Although Dacria is very different from my hometown, I found this place very interesting" Evi said. For some reason, she felt comfortable with him, as she felt towards Elias when she first met him. They're both not scary. Is it because of their soft eyes and warm smile?.

"This city is definitely an incredible place. I was so amazed at the snow and how beautiful the snow increased the scenery here. We've never seen him like this from where I come from."

"I'm glad to know that, Your Majesty. If you're feeling bored, don't hesitate to visit me, okay? I'll be your friend if you choose to go around in circles and look around the city."

" Thank you very much for the offer. I'll definitely look for you when the time comes when I want to get around town."

"It would be nice if the prince became the one to accompany you .. but I'm afraid he's currently too busy with state affairs right now." The duchess sounded a little regretful and smiled gently.

"Yes.he..." Evie simply replied with a smile and shrugged her shoulders gracefully.
