Marrying the Vampire Prince

Marrying the Vampire Prince
chapter 35's

Evie had already read some of the books she found in the library, but she could not focus on any of them. His mind kept returning to thoughts about Gavriel and his childhood.

What happened to her mother, the queen? Vampires are supposed to live for a long time. So why was he already .. could it be that he was killed?

The thought made Evie's grip on the book she was holding tighter and tighter.

His heart aches when he realizes that Gavriel has lost both of his parents and is now branded a traitor.

Besides, what happened to him in the basement? How did the empress manage to hide a prince in the dungeon located in the imperial palace for sixteen years? Don't vampires have the ability to sense a person's presence without even seeing them? Not to mention what Elias said about his extraordinary abilities.

If no one other than the empress had seen him in those sixteen years, how could he have honed his fighting skills?

Questions continued to pile up in Evie's mind as she continued to read the book she was holding, which she was reading, knowing that there would be no way he could find answers on these pages no matter how much he thought and researched about them.

Sighing long and protractedly, Evie raised her face and her eyes swept over the large library.

The five books he chose unexpectedly were all about the history of the vampire kingdom. He would love to dig deeper into their history because he was curious, but at that moment, he was, her curiosity about her husband's past was so much stronger that she really wished she could find a book dedicated personally just about him.

Evie thinks if there was a book that contained details of Gavriel's secret and her past, it would look like her eyes were just rolling around for a few minutes as if she was looking for something.

Something seemed to have caught his attention and his gaze was finally fixed on one place, towards the dark gray book on the lowest level of the bookcase located in the far corner of the library. It was something that did not look like anything special but somehow still seemed to emit a mysterious feeling.

He didn't know why he thought that way. Maybe because Gavriel has a perfect appearance that is not special. But perhaps, Evie compares the book to Gavriel's inner self.

He acted and reacted so normally that one would think of him as a typical noble growing up in a normal environment.

The way he organized and carried himself never gave any clue to anyone that he was someone who grew up hidden in a dungeon and had lost his entire family.

Evie also feels that there are more secrets she's hiding, horrors so deep that she can't even imagine how bad it is. However, he was still as gentle and calm as a lake. So calm and gentle that one would think he was a dangerous nobody and hide nothing.

Rising from her seat, Evie approached the shelf and stared intently at the book.

And the longer he looked at her, he did not know why but it seemed to become increasingly mysterious, almost alluring, in his eyes. It was really strange because it was just a book and impossible about him .. right? Is it because he thinks too much? That must be the case, he thought with a sigh.

Still, he reached out to pick up the book when suddenly, he heard a soft voice from the closed door and footsteps that fell towards him.

Evie turned her head after she straightened up and a hint of shock penetrated her as their gazes met.

"Gav..riel.." he said slowly. She did not expect him to personally come to look for her here.

Did Elias not mention earlier that he was busy?

His gaze momentarily turned to the bottom corner of the shelf before returning his gaze to her. He took a leisurely step towards her and as Evie looked straight into her eyes, the memories of the last time they were together suddenly flashed in her head.

"Why are you here? Elias said you're busy." He managed to ask, trying to distract her, knowing that her color had already gone up just by thinking about their kiss yesterday.

He tilted his head and replied innocently.

"Can't I stop by to check on my own wife?"

"Of course you can."

"Are you okay living here alone, Evie? If you're bored ..." she fell silent as Evie shook her head loudly and very firmly.

"I'm not bored at all! I love to read and be alone."

Gavriel stared at him for a long time, attentively, and he stepped so close, so suddenly that Evie could barely catch her breath in surprise.

Before he knew it, he was looming over her, his hands were already leaning against the shelf, locking her inside his arms and his lips near his ears.

"Ap.what-"

His mouth suddenly caught his mouth, pressing his mouth into his mouth, but not viciously.

His tongue hungrily pushed into his mouth then played the tag with his tongue. And he could only melt helplessly, as if affected by a powerful medicine.

But he wasn't waiting for her to return his hungry kiss this time. His mouth deviated from his mouth and he almost whimpered in protest if he had not felt his tongue wandering around his cheek into the sensitive hole of his ear. He gasped as his teeth caught gently in the small lobe.

"Gav.. riel.." he moaned his name while holding it for balance.

"Evie.." he said with a stinged breath.

"Now tell me .. whether you would rather read or kiss me .." whispered as his tongue traced the sensitive curve of his neck.

His breath trailed the scorching heat like hellfire on his wet skin as he spoke again.

"Honestly and answer me, wife .. tell me what you really want to do now .. read or kiss ..."

Confused and confused, Evie bit her lower lip hard. Honestly, he didn't want her to stop. He wants.

Before he knew it, his treacherous lips had said something.

"Kiss" And Gavriel pulls away in surprise - though she really hopes for it, she's still half ready for her rejection as usual.

Evie staggers as there is suddenly no solid anchor, but Gavriel catches her just in time and pulls her towards her.

The next thing he realized he was suddenly sitting on a table that was nearby.

Gripping the table on either side, Gavriel locked Evie between her hands as her mouth firmly gripped her lips.

Pushing his tongue into his mouth, he entered repeatedly until he was drunk with pleasure and too dazed to think.

Then his mouth traced his neck again as if looking for something.

His mouth stopped and suddenly, he licked and then sucked on a soft pulse point, causing Evie's legs to stiffen.

Oh my... What is this? What the hell happened to him? What did he do to her?

Evie could no longer hold back the sound her throat had made that had tried so hard to bury.

He was not sure what the voice or words were like after he took them out, but all he knew was that it sounded like begging.

And he couldn't. shouldn't say anything at all, but biting his lip didn't seem to work anymore.

For his relief, his mouth had sealed his mouth right before he could open his lips to take it out, pushing back the sound again. This time, her kiss seemed seductive .. as if she was pushing her towards something. And once again, he was powerless in his manipulation and could only let it push him further to whatever place he wanted him to achieve.

His hand slowly moved, reached out his hand and then sat on his wide shoulder. He knew what his body wanted to do, to pull it closer.

But suddenly, she pulled her mouth from her mouth and ended the kiss with a low frustrated groan that jolted Evie from a daze.

He turned his head towards the door and Evie flinched, looking at the hand that pushed the door slightly open.

"Sorry, Your Majesty, but everyone has arrived and you're the only one everyone is waiting for now." The man behind the door said, who sounded like the big man, Samuel.

The moment passed . But when he looked down again at her and saw her embarrassed and surprised expression, Gavriel sighed tremblingly, looking as if she was forcing herself to control her will.
