Marrying the Vampire Prince

Marrying the Vampire Prince
chapter 12's

Eventually, Evie awakens from the strange but delightful smog that has trapped her as long as she enjoys the delicious steak.

Every bite He could not believe he was letting something so basic as food, taking it flying into the clouds and making him forget everything.

However, he entertained himself with the knowledge that although the meal was simple, it was by no means a piece of steak was ordinary. That's far from normal!

Nor did he believe he allowed himself to be fed like he was a child. And even allowing a prince to feed, Evie!

Stunned, Evie sits there, motionless, while Gavriel's hand is stranded in the air in her attempt to feed Evie another piece of steak.

He moved the steak closer to his lips, causing Evie to jerk – again. Afterwards, she grimaced and quickly closed her eyes and took a deep breath, recalling how her new husband made a statement about not wanting his wife to get away from him.

With a calming deep breath, he opened his eyes and boldly raised his hand and held onto Gavriel's wrist so that he could gently move the steak without looking rude or disrespectful.

"I can eat alone, Your Majesty." She blushed loudly as she said those few words and when she finally realized that she was still holding her wrist . Evie pulled her hand back as if drenched in hot water before awkwardly turning her gaze away from him.

He was one hundred and one percent sure that smoke was billowing from his smoldering red ears as he felt the man's gaze on his face. What the hell is he doing? Letting her off guard like that was only because of the delicious steak! Was he so easily tricked like a child? He never thought there would come a day where the temptation of a plate of food could easily win him – hooks, fishing rods, and weights!

''But it's not an ordinary dish! The steak was so heavenly that it almost sinned!'' he fell into his old habit of arguing with himself whenever something really made him angry and really confused him. However, he failed to realize that this only happened when he was completely comfortable with his surroundings. Back then, in his own home, it was understandable. But now he was in the so-called ''enemy territory''.

While Evie was busy scolding herself inwardly, Gavriel leaned back. His smile had long since faded as the effects of his food dissipated, and the little rabbit was alert and alert again.

''It's a pity, '' he thought. She enjoys feeding him and he is very cute when he is relaxed. He wanted to feed her like that every time they ate together. He wished he could continue feeding her more but seeing her tense shoulders made him quietly retreat.

Without a word, he stuffed the steak into his mouth, using the same fork he used to feed it. He did not see it how he secretly glanced at it and observed how he devoured the piece of steak that had just touched his lips. He also longed to see how his face turned red before he practically took his eyes off his face and refocused his gaze onto his own plate of food.

After dinner, the couple had just left the dining room when Gavriel spoke.

"I'd like to escort you around the castle, but the emperor has requested your presence in the imperial palace as soon as you wake up." He said and as expected, Evie became tense.

He stopped and looked at her with his eyes wide open. "You mean.... now?!"

"Yes. Once you're ready, I'll take you there."

"I'll show you around the capital on the way there." She added. "You were asleep when we arrived so you didn't see anything. I think you might like it."

Evie opened her lips, intending to say something but then closed it. Why was he struggling so hard just to think of a reason that would sound quite valid? To be honest, he did not need to put in much effort to look for any reason and could instantly reject that ''invitation. He was told to refuse and he wanted to! But why couldn't he heartlessly say 'no' like he had planned? He must refuse!

But before he could open his lips again, Gavriel had already spoken with his servant to prepare for his first appearance before the emperor.

"Yes, Your Majesty." The duo bowed and they excitedly approached Evie, eyes all sparkling.

"Wait... Gavriel, i..."

"Yes?" he suddenly leaned closer to her. So close that Evie's mind was momentarily dumbfounded once more, with her husband's beauty and she forgot what she was going to say.

"Don't be afraid, I'm here to protect you. Now go and get ready, I'll wait downstairs."

With that, the man left, leaving Evie who was secretly scolding herself again for being so weak – was so helpless against her beauty. Please, Evi. You can't be so easily swayed like that! You can't! You can't! He mentally shook himself, hoping to get a stronger grip on his mind.

As the servants took her to the changing room, Evie's mind was busy thinking about how to deal with temptation. She finally realized her biggest weakness – food and beauty of her husband. What should he do to increase his immunity to those two things? Food is important! How could he say "no"?

Evie has shrouded herself in her own world, thinking and thinking about how to solve this problem that she didn't realize was long gone until Fray's voice reached her ears. "Miss? Are you okay?"

He was taken out of his mind. "Yes?"

The waiter smiled at him. "We're done, My Lady. You look so amazing!" the servants gushed with praise as he turned to look at himself in the mirror. His lips opened in surprise and admiration.

"I can't wait to see His Majesty's reaction when he sees you!"

"Right," Gina interrupted. "Now let's go, Miss. We can't let His Majesty wait any longer." She urged happily and Evie could only let them take her out of the room.

As she climbed down the stairs, Evie had no idea why her heart had suddenly accelerated and started pounding hard in her ears. Oh, my God, is he nervous? Wh why? Because Gavriel? Surely not, is it? This must be because he will meet the vampire emperor – the main enemy of mankind. He's not ready for this! Can he still back off from this? Sure did! He can back off when he wants to. No one in this place can force him, not even Gavriel.

Evie's hand gripped her dress so hard, her knuckles were bleached. He was too engrossed in his own predicament that he flinched to his senses when a hand appeared in front of him. He realized that he had reached the final step and when he took a hand and looked up in bewilderment, a warning bell echoed within his brain
