Marrying the Vampire Prince

Marrying the Vampire Prince
chapter 46's

Evie is escorted by Elias to their dinner spot located on top of a giant wall. As he exited the stairs, Evie was surprised by the sight that greeted him.

He stopped before he could even reach the final step and looked around. The empty watchtower they were standing in yesterday now looked completely different. Now there was a table, and some comfortable-looking chairs in the middle of the area. Lights circled the top of the watchtower wall and an elaborate grand candle was in the middle. The table was already set with fine porcelain and was loaded with fancy food which made his mouth slightly watery just by glancing at it once.

Evie could hardly believe her eyes on the romantic setting. His eyes then fell onto the man sitting on one of the chairs there, staring up into the dark room as if he was looking at something else that no one else could see. He had the relaxed aura of confidence of the King of darkness as he sat on his throne.

He couldn't take his eyes off her and for some reason, he didn't want to move first, wanting to see her for a little longer. But then he looked at her and smiled. Evie held her breath at the stunning smile that seemed to be thrown at her incautiously.

Without a word, Gavriel stood up and pulled another chair for her, a silent but clear invitation for her to sit down.

"It's very beautiful here .." she said, looking around again. His eyes glittered in appreciation.

"I'm glad you like it."

Before Evie could reach out to serve herself, Gavriel secretly moved the delicious-looking, juicy steak to her empty plate. The steak scene reminded him of the first time they ate together. He looked at her and his face was flushed dark pink while his heart rate was accelerating.

So many things have happened between them since then though not too long ago. He remembered how tense and fearful he was back then. Now here he was, feeling such peace, security, and happiness just by having him right in front of him, sharing food with him again.

"Evie ..." she heard him call her and Evie realized that she had been daydreaming while looking at him. "This," he added, and he saw a piece of steak near his mouth.

Blushed, Evie opened her mouth and received the proffered steak. Gavril smiled.

He hurriedly moved his hand to feed himself. He wanted her to eat as well and not just feed him. As they eat, Gavriel occasionally gives away a little of her chosen food and Evie never hesitates to eat it, which makes Gavriel very happy. She pondered and thought inwardly how beautiful and different the woman's reaction to her was now compared to before when they were still in her palace, when she was newly appointed as a newly married wife. Her every move then only elicited fear and made her flinch away from him – causing endless displeasure.

Gavriel now looks completely enjoying herself as Evie suddenly raises her hand towards him, causing him to stop and stare at the elegantly held wine in her fingers.

He looked at Evie and he looked back at her. Her innocent eyes glittered against the candlelight.

Gavriel's throat worked but a moment later, his mouth opened. His lips touched his fingertips as he picked up the wine. An evil smile emanated in his eyes as he looked at her.

He placed his head on his palm, not taking his eyes off of him. "I want more, Evie" he said with a mischievous smile.

Evie blinked but then she picked the wine again and fed it. Gavriel leaned back, looking very happy and happy, still not knowing that Evie was trying her best to focus on her food because seeing her wet lips had made her mind go wild while recalling her kiss.

By the time they finished dinner, Evie was about to stand up from her seat when Gavriel suddenly leaned towards her. A wine held lightly between his teeth.

And before he knew it, his lips stuck to his, wine between them. When Evie opened her mouth, she pushed the wine inside then pulled away while smiling wickedly.

"You haven't eaten enough wine, wife." Godanya, and Evie could only hue harder while chewing on that delicious, juicy seedless wine.

As soon as the couple left the watchtower, Gavriel took Evie out of the giant wall. Soldiers are everywhere.

Some were just keeping watch at their posts, and some seemed to be practicing.

Gavriel's hand is tied up in Evie's

when they walk. The soldiers bowed respectfully to them and gave way for them to pass by once they saw the couple.

Evie stopped when she saw a fierce fight ensue. He recognized Levy and Samuel among them, and they fought against Dacrian's army.

Is it a fight, or is it training? Their match was so intense that Evie could not take her eyes off them. He was mesmerized and fascinated by their speed and any movements he could catch. His eyes could not fully follow most of their movements. The most remarkable thing was that Levy and Samuel did not seem to give 100% at all, despite the number of powerful soldiers constantly being thrown at them. He had never seen anything like it before.

Suddenly, Evie felt the heat she was holding onto suddenly dissipate. But before he could take his eyes off the battle scene, he was shocked to see Gavriel had already stepped into the middle of an intense fight.

Her lips were open in confusion. Wh-what is he doing there?

The next moment, Samuel and Levy and the other soldiers joined in one united front as they pitted against him. Completely speechless, Evie could only watch.

Gavriel is intense. Although his eyes remained gray, they turned extremely dangerous and challenging. Everyone attacked him and the intensity he felt in the air some time ago increased dramatically. The atmosphere became heavier as the fight intensified.

Evie's eyes could barely keep up with what was going on again. All he could see was Gavriel, looking like Lucifer as he smiled evilly as he fought his own men.

"Geez," Evie heard****** weight coming from behind her and when she turned around, she recognized the man with the gold earrings and long blonde hair named Zolan.

He smiled at Evie and then stood beside her. Evie had sensed this before, but this Zolan seemed to have something that no other vampire seemed to have. Like Gavriel, he gave off a different aura, the kind that almost seemed magical, although the aura of this man was light and seemed soothing while Gavriel was pure darkness.

"Did he always fight intensely like this when fighting against his men?" Evie asked curiously and Zolan scratched his neck.

"Er... No, Madam." He said as he tilted his head, probably thinking of the right words to say. "Your Majesty only argued with us like that when we went to the forest for our intensive training. He has never done that here ... until now ..."

"Oh," Evie blinked as someone interrupted.

"I think His Majesty is just trying to show off, my goodness .." lamented the blue-eyed and innocent-looking man named Reed, while rolling his eyes excessively. "I don't believe this. I never thought he was such a petty man. All just because he saw his wife watching—"

Zolan nudged Reed so hard that the man was almost thrown to the side.

'You are a fool!' Zolan scolded him as soon as their eyes met.

'What mistake have I made? I'm just telling the truth! He's showing off because his wife is here and he's looking'

'Heaven ...' Zolan pinched the skin between his eyebrows before he stared intently at Reed. 'Just shut the fuck up. If you accidentally say something that makes the princess angry and His Majesty comes to you, I will not help.'

Reed immediately gave up and pursed his lips, he turned away from them panting and crossed his arms.

Evie could only bite her lips to stop her laughter as she turned her gaze towards her husband. Is he really showing off? When Gavriel looks at her and their eyes meet, she smiles at him and Evie realizes that she is really showing off.

At that moment, Samuel and Levy surrendered. The other soldiers had long since retreated from that crazy fight. How could they contend against their God when he was going at such speed and intensity? Even if they wanted to, it would only harm them themselves.

Gavriel immediately turned his head to Evie, satisfaction etched on his face as he sheathed his sword and walked towards her.

Looking at the look on her face, Evie felt like she had to say something. Should he praise her?

"You .. is amazing." He told her and she blushed in embarrassment, thinking that what he said must have been strange. But Gavriel's eyes sparkled with joy, and his men's lips opened in disbelief. What the fuck! Our prince is acting strange tonight. Everyone has the same thoughts except the other five who are clear and fully aware of Gavriel's 360° changes whenever his wife is around, or if it has anything to do with her.
