Marrying the Vampire Prince

Marrying the Vampire Prince
chapter 28's

Evie's eyes widened to hear Gavriel's statement as her cold cheeks suddenly grew hot.

He couldn't quite respond to that and was stunned at the point.

And before Evie could say a word, Gavriel reached out and began to open the front tie of her dress.

His heartbeat quickened, and the blood very quickly heated up in the veins he thought were frozen.

As her fingers moved quickly to free up the rows of buttons, Evie felt her heart was about to explode.

However, there was no objection coming out of his lips. He was still shivering in the cold, and he felt his toes numb. Perhaps, at that moment, his brain was also numb from the cold and was the only explanation for why his brain no longer yelled at him with endless protests.

Gavriel's hand paused for a moment before staring at his face, watching him for a moment before finally letting go of the final bond.

Something gleamed in her eyes as her dress loosened but as her shoulders trembled even harder, something seemed to have hit her, and she continued her duty carefully in a hurry.

She felt her weak hand grip her for balance as she pushed the loose dress down on her hips.

And then, he leaned over to take off his shoes.

Evie lowered her head, barely realizing that she was standing on top of him with only her underwear.

His gaze locked onto the crumpled black hair that looked thick and soft while allowing it to take off the remaining shoes.

The next moment, he felt the man's hand move under his hip and his frozen nerves seemed to jolt awake.

His eyes were large circles as he remained motionless while looking at her. Even his breath seemed to be choked and restrained in his chest.

When she felt her fingers touch the buckle tied around her thigh, her pulse was racing until she started to feel a little dizzy.

The sweep of his fingers to his skin sent a hot ripple through him and he shuddered as his breathing panted - as if his fingers were trigger hooks holding the air in his lungs.

The thing that struck him the most was that when Gavriel looked up and their eyes met, he felt like he was about to faint from the sudden weakness he felt from his previous ministry and a deep pair of seductive eyes.

"I'll take off your socks, wife." He spoke. Those words seemed like a normal warning, but his voice echoed in his ears deeper and more hoarse than usual.

That was all he could do to hold back, let alone respond physically or verbally.

He rolled it down, efficiently and carefully and, very slowly, Evie's hand suddenly fell onto her black hair, clutching it.

Gavriel stiffened immediately. His eyes widened and glittered so clearly like the eyes of a predator ready to pounce on its prey as a strong and ferocious tension and heat charged like a bolt of lightning seemed to run between them.

A warning bell rang at the back of his head, Evie quickly pulled her hand from her thick silk hair and crossed her arms in front, subtly feeling the goose feathers spreading and covering her skin.

His gaze fell and the tension seemed to break.

"Bring now, wife. The water will warm you." He managed to say and when he stood up, he realized he had finished taking off his stockings.

"You can set it up now, right? Or should I...".

"I can manage it now. Thank you..thank you for your help." He replied, stammering.

"I can do it myself now."

"Be careful. If you need help, just call me." He said and when he nodded, he wisely turned around and left the room.

As the door closed, Gavriel combed her hair with her hands and exhaled tremblingly as she leaned against the bathroom door, feeling her legs wobble like a newborn foal.

His suddenly stiff fingers groped his robe and pulled it away as if it was causing him to suffocate from the heat.

The control barely depends on a thread. When she grabbed her hair and she looked up to see that pair of dazed yellow eyes, she said, only the devil knew how much he had to unplug his legendary iron control to stop himself from grabbing his leg and splitting it wide for him so he could... he can spoil it there and then.

He had always been a man in control in terms of women, treating them casually and casually.

He was not the type to pounce on a woman like a starving beast, but at that moment he would do just that.

He was more used to seeing women throwing themselves at him than the other way around. It was a truly eye-opening experience.

He was sure he would not have managed to stop himself if he had not done so.

He realized that the longer he was not allowed to touch her, the more he wanted to.

He's literally dying - burning - just to have it.

"Elias." His voice, deep and dark, echoed and the main door of the bedroom opened.

When the butler appeared, he immediately ordered a new set of clothes while picking up his clothes.

His attention was entirely focused on the sound coming from the bathroom.

He had asked Elias to bring him clothes and decided to change his wet clothes near the bathroom door because he did not want to leave even for a moment.

She had just been wearing clean pants when she heard ******softly. Turning around, Gavriel grabbed the handle of the door, pushing it open.

"Evie! What was? I'm coming"

Evie's eyes widened like plates. He was still in the bathtub, enjoying a hot bath that finally melted his frozen nerves.

His face was flushed like cooked shrimp upon seeing him barge into the bathroom, half-naked, and also on the fact that he was naked.

Gladly, she realized that she was immersed in hot water and the slightly scented and steaming steam that resulted from the bathtub covered her quite.

"I'm doing fine. I just dropped the soap, i-that's it." She stutters and Gavriel forces herself to take her eyes off the particularly seductive sight and see the soap lying plain on the floor.

He approached the bathtub and quietly picked up the soap and handed it back to her. His eyes quickly swept over her before stubbornly locking her face and her ears reddened slightly.

"I just can't touch without your permission, Evie." He said, even grinning wickedly at her that Evie could only drop her jaw in surprise.

But then he laughs amusedly at her astonished reaction and Evie finds herself relaxed, suddenly feeling the urge to take back the scented soap from her hands to throw it at him for laughing at her.

But he just left it as his imagination and took the soap out of his hands and looked away shyly.

"You sure you don't need help?" her question was a little hopeful and Evie nodded like a toy, wanting her to finally leave so she could continue enjoying her hot bath without her here, the temptation of breathing, walking.

"Yes. I'm absolutely fine, I'll .. call you if I need help." He said to make it go away and he was relieved (and maybe a little disappointment that he believed himself must have been a mistake), he finally left.

Gavriel leaned against the door again and took another deep breath.

He seemed to be taking a calmer, deeper breath since his wife had returned with him from the human world.

Her ears remained alert as she finished dressing up.

"Your Majesty, if you're so worried, you shouldn't have sent the waiter away." Elias told her through silent conversation when their eyes met.

"He's not comfortable with vampires yet, and the waiter won't know how to handle humans. I'm afraid they'll hurt her before they even realize it."
