He's Not The Best

He's Not The Best
99. The Good Impression

The Good Impression

As usual, Winsi went to see the construction of a shop on his mother's land, once home from college. This was the last day of his agreement with the contractor Nafadi trusted to settle.

The girl was quite satisfied with the end result of her shop building today. He did not expect that with the limited cost he had, he could get a building as beautiful as that. Apparently the trust seller can really please his customers.

“Now it's afternoon, Ma'am Win, I go home first,” pamphit the contractor while bringing some of his work equipment.

“Thank you, yes Sir. I would definitely recommend Mr. Didi if there will be someone who needs renovation.” Winsi said excitedly, while Didi, the wasteful one looked so reluctant. He knew what Provis said if he would be recommended as a cheap contractor but produce good and quality buildings with good materials as well.

The woman did not know that all the quality materials, which she used as raw materials, were part of Arkan's support. Didi was confused whether he should say it or not.

“Good, go ahead.” just that finally the words that came out of his lips he was like not have the heart on Provinsi.

“Thank you, Sir.”

“Sama-sama, Mbak Win!”

Winsi smiled getting such a satisfactory answer and again saw the receipt from Didi as proof that he had finished his work in accordance with their agreement.

Didi was just about to drive his bike when an Avanza car stopped right on the road he was about to go through. Then the car door opened and a man came out smiling at him.

Instantly Didi shouted in a cheerful voice, “Mas Anas! How are you?”

Anas' name was the name that made a good impression on him.

Hearing the screams from Didi, made Winsi turn towards the two men who were now shaking hands tightly Even they embraced. The girl had already recognized the man called by Didi, she was Anas, the man she had met, with Waila, at a Cafe at that time.

The two men are old friends and it just so happens that Anas is looking for Didi for a cafe renovation he owns. Anas was grateful to find his friend there, and they just made a deal and a promise that they would keep the next day.

Winsi remained in his position while watching the interaction of the two men who talked, until Didi finally left Anas. The girl had hoped that Anas would not leave immediately because he wanted to ask her something.

Some time ago he had obtained the results of DNA tests from his hair and also Anas' hair, for the efforts made by Erlan for his sake. The man uses a trick to persuade Waila to get a strand of Anas' hair without her knowledge. Winsi did not expect that Erlan was so good at wooing Waila that the girl would obey without asking too much for Erlan to do a DNA test on her.

“Hair Om? Make what?” ask Waila.

“I see Om Anas hair is good I want to know what kind of hair, oily or not, I will research it in Amsterdam, but remember you have to take it without Om's knowledge, okay?”

“Hmm ...” muttered Waila while nodding.

In the afternoon, after Waila returned from the cafe Anas, the girl had given three strands of hair as Erlan requested and at that time Erlan took her away from nowhere, he's out of the house in Nafadi's sports car as usual.

The man came home late at night and went straight to Winsi who was in his room at the time. Then, he gave a letter of evidence that must be in someone when going to take the results of DNA tests in a government-owned laboratory, a week later.

After all the business about Winsi was finished, Erlan also said goodbye to Nafadi and Waila, and thanked the two of them who had been very meritorious when he was there, he returned to Amsterdam that night.

The results of the DNA test of his hair written there, clearly saying that, he was not the child of Anas because of the genes, their blood type was completely different. This proves that his mother is right.

Runa, telling the truth if Winsi was the biological child of Basri, and when Basri spoke that Anas was his father, it turned out to be a mere misunderstanding.

But he did not want to say this much slander to Anas. He just wanted to ascertain what really happened at that time so that his Father could conclude that he was an illegitimate child. Runa could not tell the full story because he had fainted.

Anas menole to Winsi with a smile, it seems that the man knows that winsi is a friend of Waila, then, he steps closer to her.

“Halo,” greet Anas gently as he waves his hand at Provinsi.

“Assalamualaikum, Om Anas .. Yes, right?” wingsi said shyly she still looks stiff.

“Yes. You're Waila's friend, right?”

“Then I am not wrong ... Why are you here? This ... like a new building so.” Anas said as he looked around and also the shop building which was still new.

“Ya, Om, this is my store.”

“Have you? Wow, it's amazing that young people already have a building like this, you want what business is this big store?”

“I also still don't know Om, but, who knows Om Anas can give me an idea!”

“Create a food stall or cafe like mine, I can teach you how.”

“By also tuh, Om. Hmm .. sorry, Om can I ask you something?”

“Bby, What is it?”

Winsi asked about the picture on Anas' phone that he would show him when he was with Waila. The girl apologized if at that time she looked indifferent and also ignored him because she thought it was unimportant, especially she was afraid if Waila was jealous later.

The girl already knew what kind of relationship Anas had with Waila at the moment. It was the same relationship as her and Arkan, but she could be more polite and not overdone on her foster father.

Winsi said frankly to Anas when after that day he became curious about what he would show.

Hearing Winsi's words, Anas also laughed lightly he did not think, if this girl still remembers clearly what happened at that time. He suddenly remembered Runa again.

Anas was once desperate while trying to find Runa in the same place because he did not find her. He just wanted to know the situation of the woman who had made a good impression on him. In addition to helping Runa at that time was his first experience hugging a woman.

The last time Anas went to that place all he found was a broken home, his yard being a place where the bush grew comfortably and was not maintained.

“This is your mother, right? You guys are so similar.” Anas said later, while showing photos and videos that he still kept well in the memory of his phone even though the flat object had been changed several times.

Winsi looked at the photo and the video carefully and she admitted it was her mother. Hearing the confession from the wingsi Anas also smiled widely and then he told how the incident could happen.

Winsi was astonished when he concluded from Anas' story, that his father was indeed completely misunderstood by a severe mistake. Not even giving an opportunity to Anas to talk and explain but, directly hit him until Anas chose to leave without any message to Runa and the people around him.

“Om, I say a big thank you to Om, on behalf of Mom. Maybe, if without the help of Om, I will not be born until I am an adult today.”

“No need to thank you, everything I, your Mom and Dad did was a destiny, right? So, how are your mom and dad now?”

“Alhamdulillah they are all fine.” Winsi said as she tearfully, her parents are fine even though they no longer live together.

He could not imagine being there when it happened and how his mother felt, this was so painful, getting accused of something he did not do at all.

Winsi knew very well how Anas felt at that time because that's how he felt over the years, accused of being a child of an affair, is very bad, very bad, it was as if he had never been clean of all filth.

The girl was grateful Anas did not ask how the relationship between Mother and Father. If it is about that, then Winsi seems to be lying. Ahc ....

“What, Om don't hate the Father?”

“No, it's just the past, I just hope your father doesn't continue to misunderstand your mother.”

“Oh, it doesn't seem.” Winsi replied while wiping away the tears on her cheeks. He is unlikely to say the disgrace of his own family, about how his father behaved to him, or about Basri's vile accusations against Anas. No. .. He won't tell anyone until he's gone.
