He's Not The Best

He's Not The Best
95. I'm Not The Best

I'm Not The Best

Winsi felt unable to answer Erlan's question. How could he possibly be honest this time? He was no longer an innocent child, and thought Erlan was the only person who could help him. If you can't be honest, then it's better to be quiet.

He already had a greater sense of shame than he used to be.  Now he could think clearly and, everything he had done in the past was a big mistake, making Erlan a leaning place.

“You don't have anything wrong, Lan. I have a lot wrong with you!” Winsi said with great difficulty, the voice in the throat choked as a result of holding back the cry with all his might.

Yes, he doesn't have to be honest, about all of his attitudes that come up from wanting to keep his distance. Nah!

He just wanted to keep his own heart from falling into the usual feelings between adult men and women. It is not necessary, if you do not want to be disappointed.

The bitter experience he felt and the journey of his life made Winsi mature faster, of course he understood if the heart could not always be like this.

The heart will always change according to the circumstances and what it feels, never set from it to it, sometimes love can turn into hate, love turns into disgust, love turns into disgust and bored, and so on, even admiration can turn into humiliation in the blink of an eye, doesn't it all come from the heart?

“You also have no fault with me,” said Erlan while smiling knot.

“If I have nothing wrong with you, why was I speeding? What does it mean try? Do you praise me or do you want us both to die?”

Winsi said that not without reason he knew if Erlan was upset with him and then punished in such a way. However, he said if Winsi had no fault, if what he said was true, of course he would not be so upset.

“Sorry,” Erlan said while chuckling while Winsi deemed her apology fake.

“Why don't you ever answer the phone, keep ... Rarely bales my messages, you don't hate me, right?”

“Ngak!” Winsi answered briefly while waving her hand.

Then he told how he felt and behaved at the death of Badri, he deliberately contacted him at that time because he wanted to tell the news of their Grandfather's death. Arkan forbade it.

Then, about him who did not answer messages and calls from Erlan, Winsi admitted that he was busy and tired because he received many guests and mourners all day.

“What is all that more important than me?” erlan asked then while rubbing her nose with the back of her palm.

“What do you mean? It has nothing to do with grandfather's death with important or unimportant matters. People feel important because they mean something to others, right? Should I consider you important? Ah, that's right, Lan! I consider Father more important than you!”

Erlan looked at Provinsi right in her eyeballs, she expected the Girl to lie or pretend but, she did not discover the lie at all from what she saw.

“Alright, we're done. Now, quickly get out!”

“What? Why exit?” Winsi asked in surprise while shrugging both of his shoulders.

“How did you not want to go out? Yeah, already. Out now!” Erlan replied with a grunt, it looks like the man is upset.

Winsi finally grabbed his bag after the sound of ‘klik’ from the automatic door lock that has been opened.

“Alright,” the girl said as she opened her seatbelt then, she came out just like that without looking back at Erlan.

Winsi did not know his current position but, he still walked. However, just a few steps Eerlan had again blocked his arm and pulled him into a cafe that was beside them.

“What's done here I don't want!” elak Winsi while again trying to release the handcuff of the man beside him.

“You must want to or I kiss you in this place now!”

“Erlan! You crazy huh?”

“Biarin, I'm crazy because of you, know?”

“Ck! Where might I make you crazy .. if a woman like Saina can only make you crazy.” Winsi said as she chuckled softly, with one hand closing her mouth holding back her laughter so as not to be too loud.

“Oh, yes. You want to know what Saina is like now?” Erlan asked after they sat face to face at one of the empty tables by the window.

“No! Why should I know someone like him?”

Before long a waiter came and offered the menu and asked for their order. Winsi handed her order to Erlan, the one who invited her to come there because she herself did not know the good drinks in that place. After all, the man will also pay for their drinks later.

Erlan took a fast semester so that she could graduate first than her peers. Mungin this year also he will already get a bachelor's degree.

Winsi was not excited to hear the story about Saina because she did not have any relationship with her. Moreover, the girl had hurt him, even trying to hurt his father at that time.

He thought the Arkans were too kind in treating people who had tried to harm one of their family members. However, he understood after finding out that the Saina family had a good relationship in the past with Badri.

While Erlan told me, orders arrived and they talked while enjoying a meal.

“Keep, how's your lecture, is there a month or two months of truancy also no problem? Didn't you get that punishment? Nice to go to college there.”

“Heh. School anyway? If not go to the suspension. Yok, move to college there.”

“Nmobile. I'm not good at English.”

Winsi's original-sounding statement made Erlan laugh loudly because, the girl was still plain and even seemed stupid.

If you want to study in the opposite country, of course there is a way to overcome the problem of language, namely by practicing, English courses first. So, do not necessarily use that reason to limit self-development. He seems desperate, if making English competence as a benchmark of intelligence.

Winsi was actually just kidding because he did not intend to continue studying abroad at all. He just wanted to make Erlan laugh and it worked, a laugh that really got the girl grounded.

He saw Erlan looking even sweeter, making him hurriedly turn his gaze in the other direction.

From the sound of his laughter, it sounded if Erlan was very happy. Perhaps the happy man was because he realized how flexible Winsi was so that others could judge him weak, when in fact he only covered the excess he had.

If only he could go abroad, one thing Winsi wanted to do, is to perform the pilgrimage to the holy land of Mecca City or go to the tomb of Rosul in Medina. Both places are the best places of pilgrimage for Muslims around the world.

There was also another tourist spot he chose, which was to go to Cambridge Europe, where there was a mosque built by the Muslims, after a struggle of more than a dozen years to make it happen. It was an incredibly difficult struggle.

Indeed there are other places that are so magnificent and luxurious in the world that can be used as tourist attractions such as Burj Khalifa in Dubai, the Eiffel tower in France, and, The statue of Liberti in America is also a phenomenal Mosque in Cordoba but, he has no interest in going there.

For now he just wants to focus on taking care of his own life, until later in life he will not bother many people.

“You, when to go home again, tell me if you want to go home?” Erlan said as she moved from her seat.

“Why should you know? Do we have holidays with that?” Winsi said while following Erlan.

“Yes. Who knew I could go home too because it was done.”

“Oh.”

After paying for the order, they returned to the car and at the same time, another car stopped right behind their car, with the sound of the horn being pressed down continuously making it deafening and, the attention of many.

Winsi and Erlan turned around simultaneously to see who wanted to look for trouble this time around.

“Kak Erlan!” waila shouted as she opened the window of her car. Surprisingly, he came out of the passenger door, when he usually drove the car himself.

Shortly after, Waila came down. Followed by a man who seemed much more mature than him. Even the man deserves to have one or two children.

“When is Brother coming? Hum.... finished eating at the cafe, huh? No, no Waila, no?” the girl asked spoiled while clinging to Erlan's arm but, the man immediately released Waila's embrace in his hand.

“I just nyampe.” Erlan answered curtly while glancing at the man near Waila, with a cynical look.

While the man continued to stare at Winsi unblinking. Then, he looked at the phone screen in turn with a face full of seriousness.

“Are you her son, Ms Runa?”
