The departure of Arkan
The next day, Runa woke up restless and worried about her husband's situation. He immediately put his palm on Arkan's forehead, so he let out a sigh of relief. Her husband's body was not hot anymore, she kissed Arkan cheeks that felt cold as well only then she went to the bathroom to clean herself.
After finishing brushing her teeth and washing, Runa again woke Arkan up by calling him repeatedly. She did so that her husband would immediately commend to pray at dawn, such is his habit every morning. But when he woke up Arkan, the man did not answer, not even his body moved.
“Mas ...! Don't joke, ah, let's get up!” runa said as she woke her husband. After that he stuck his cheek into Arkan's nose and it turned out that he did not feel the slightest bit of his breath.
“Mas! Don't be kidding, let's get up!” said with tears. Suddenly she recalled what Arkan said while hugging her last night. Was that his last message, or a hint that the man was going to be gone forever?
“Mas! Maaas ..!” a loud screech slid just like that from Runa's mouth, she cried herself inside the room.
Oh God! Why did you take it from me so soon? Do I not deserve to be happy for too long in the world?
Runa still could not believe that if Arkan was only three years old he married, even his son had not even one year, he had left for good. What does this destiny mean if her husband is gone. If only fate could speak and tell before the execution.
Finally, Runa got up with eyes not turning away from her husband's body that was stretched stiff on the bed. While wiping away the tears he intended to pray at dawn, focusing all his feelings and thoughts on the creator, surrendering himself completely to his destiny.
After he finished praying, he turned back to the bed and hoped that the man standing there would wake up again, smile and carry out his usual duties. However, the man remained there and did not move in the slightest, did not care for him and did not pray. No, of course he couldn't because the body was lifeless.
Since yesterday Runa did not believe what happened to her baby far away, and did not believe in her husband's illness that came suddenly, she had taken medicine and rested well. So it's only natural that now he doesn't believe that Arkan has left him.
Runa took a deep breath as she got up and folded her face, she came back to her husband and kissed his face several times with tears.
“Mas, your task is done here, the children have gone their own way of life, I am also quite happy and all my needs have also been met entirely, nothing less, no. Alhamdulillahot. Thank you for keeping me company all this time, leave Jiddan as a memory as well as a perfect trust.”
Runa said while wiping away her tears.
“If you really want to go now without waiting for our children to grow up, fine ... I I took care of and raised him the best I could. If indeed you want to go now without waiting for your daughter to get married, yes already, go.”
Runa was silent for a moment because the tears were getting louder along with her son's cry that sounded so strong from his bed.
Runa got up while throwing out the liquid on her nose with a tissue then carried Jiddan and suckled him. He rubbed the boy's head with a smile as his tears continued to flow.
“Nak, last night Papah said, if you grow up later do not go to school abroad. Let the school be in the religious department alone, he said.”
Jiddan smiled as he sucked his mother's milk.
“Papah also said, Jiddan must first be taught to learn new njai read others.”
Runa cried out in tears, remembering everything her husband said before she fell asleep, the man hugged her tightly very tightly like never before, then kissed her face a few times while continuing to say, That man hugged her very tightly, not like he used to, “You are well yes, dear ... do not be sick, you must always be healthy, you are the mother of children ...” that sentence is always said repeatedly even though Runa has said it, yes, repeatedly.
Not only that, some of the talk that came out of Arkan's mouth sounded like the last message and Runa only realized it after this day, after seeing her husband's body did not move anymore.
Runa's cry caused Neni and Hasnu who had also been awakened to worry and knocked on her master's room door loudly. The crying sound between Runa and Jiddan was earthy to each other.
With a shaky step, Runa opened the door and hugged Neni, the hijab she was wearing was wet with tears.
The two loyal servants looked panicked and guessed about what her employer was going through. Neni immediately held Jiddan after Runa let go of his embrace and gave the baby the formula as usual, if Runa was not there.
While Runa again rested on the side of the bed, crying over her husband's body. He is still experiencing the actual process of shaking things up and experiencing his real weight of letting go. A child will be born accompanied by crying, and a man will die accompanied by crying.
Hasnu approached, touching some parts of his master's body with trembling hands. Her employer did not say anything but, instinctively, she admitted that Arkan was gone forever. Hasnu's heart was sad, one by one the people who became the place of filial piety had gone. Erlan doesn't know where the boy went.
Arkan may miss his mother and father, or indeed all his duties are done and his agreement with the owner of the body has arrived. Enough is the sustenance and test of his life in the world until he chooses to return to the bosom of the creator.
“Pak Hasnu, please take care of all the process of eating like when Grandpa died, first, yes?” said Runa on the sidelines sobbing her cries.
“Good, Mistress.”
“If Mr. Hasnu knows where Erlan is, tell the boy, let him go home.”
“Good, Mistress.”
There was no other way for Hasnu to search for Erlan's whereabouts other than using some means, which Arkan used to search for certain information. Although, he was only a private driver, but he knew and knew some people who had been contacted Arkan or Badri for various purposes.
An hour passed from the time of Arkan's death, when Hasnu's phone rang and someone across there gave word, which left the old man shocked. It was about Erlan's news, but he remained silent and did not dare to act rashly about the young master's affairs.
However, he still ventured to give her information about Arkan's death to Erlan, who was bearing his own burden. Perhaps the young man's burden will increase with the departure of his father when he still desperately needs a full support.
In his current condition, it was not possible for Erlan to take care of all the various efforts and take care of a woman with a mental disorder simultaneously.
