He's Not The Best

He's Not The Best
45. He's my little brother

He's my little brother

Erlan took a deep breath when she heard such a stern question from the mouth of Winsi, he knew he couldn't do anything to this little girl because dad looked so fond of her he himself didn't know what caused this girl to be so attractive.

This girl is just as common as her mother, they have almost the same body type and face, all is nothing special but this is what makes him surprised because his father was willing to come all the way from Jogjakarta just to free the two mothers and children, from the prison. Yes, at that time Erlan only complained about the plight of Provinsi and his mother, he did not expect too far but, did not expect the actions of his father so suddenly.

“I will not upset you but once a buluk boy yes still buluk!”

“Awas, if you say I'm a bulukan boy again, want to catch it so bullukan also like me? Huh!”

“Eh, where it might be nular kayak disease is just for your slovenly kayak!”

“Haiss! You don't know yet ... Can you know?”

Erlan was about to deny, he did not want to expel Winsi from there just because the little girl once had an itchy disease. Yes, that's why he called Winsi ‘Anak Buluk', before when he was a child. He once overheard Runa talking to Bi Neni, Hasnu's wife, the woman who took care of him. At that time Runa complained that Winsi was suffering from itching in his body.

In spite of all that, sending Winsi to school was his father's right. He did not have time to answer, when Arkan was standing between them while giving a package of clothes to the girl in front of him.

“This shirt, make you wear tomorrow .. let Mr. Hasnu who will pick you up, all of you take Erlan to school but, I haven't bought shoes because I don't know what size your feet are.” Arkan said while looking at his son and Winsi in turn.

Erlan looked at the package at a glance then she took a deep breath and left her father and Winsi both there.

“Come! Now home... Mr. Hasnu will take you home and tell your mother, ask her permission, you will stay here from next Sunday. Do you want?” erlan said as she walked and grabbed the shoulder of Winsi.

“Good, Father.”

Provinces are like children in general, depending on the decisions of adults around them. Likewise with the will of Arkan who wants him to stay there, he only hopes Runa also lives with him so that he is not alone in the big house. Moreover, he was afraid when he saw Erlan's old grandfather, the man did accept but, it didn't seem like him.

Winsi brings her new clothes home, she happily shows them to her mother Runa—. As a child, he was certainly happy with the new clothes, let alone his old uniform had been thrown away by Arkan, shortly after they were discharged from the hospital that time.

He could not have returned to the public school where he had studied, where his friends had deemed him defamatory.

He himself did not understand the good name of who had been defiled whereas, everything he experienced had nothing to do with anyone at school.

Repeatedly, Runa convinces her son about moving to school, financed by a stranger. He just didn't want to owe Arkan too much and his family anything about the return, he and his son were nobody in their eyes.

“But, Buk ... If Wiwin does not go to school there, where else do you go? Only that school is the closest from home other than the state school.”

“Ya already if indeed you want to go to school there. Remember, you must keep your honor, also the good name of Mr. Arkan and his family, do not do anything to hang out with good friends do not make trouble.”

“Yes, Buk, but, Dad told me to stay at the big house next week.”

“What? No need! Shy mom, Son ... I can still afford to charge you, still able to nyekolahin you, why do you live there we have our own house, right?”

“Iya, Buk .. but, that's Dad's will, if you don't want yes, already.”

“Ya, what is it?”

“Mother lives alone here, Wiwin wants to stay with Daddy!”

“Wiwin!”

“Pokonya Wiwin want to stay with Daddy!”

The conversation ended when Winsi left and locked herself in a room. Until he finally fell asleep hugging the bolster, letting the dreamy and busy Runa with her own thoughts, trying to guess where the path and direction of her life started at this moment.

Actually Basri looks reluctant and he wants to re-refer with his wife because after the departure of Runa, his life is increasingly chaotic. However, the woman insisted on not returning on the grounds that Nira still controlled the house and, she did not want the woman to interfere in her affairs, even slandering herself and her clearly innocent child. Of course Basri objected to Runa's wishes, and he promised that Nira would not do evil a second time. However, Runa's heart was already shipwrecked and did not believe anymore.

The future of man will never be known how it ends. As great as an astrologer guessing one's future will never reach one hundred percent truth.

The next morning Winsi began the day by cleaning herself and wearing a new outfit that Arkan gave her, only she was still wearing her old, worn shoes and bags. He did not think about it, because for him it was not important, the important thing is that he can go to school and meet his better future.

He did not know what the school was like and how the building, as well as the people he would meet. He only thinks positively that he will meet his best friend Mary and start anew a relationship that has long since interfered.

Before arriving at the school gate, Winsy requests that Hasnu lower himself on the road alone, as he does not want to be seen with Erlan, getting off the same car.

He was worried that Erlan would be embarrassed to be in a car with someone like him. The proof is that the teenage boy was silent during the trip, even when he asked to go down the street he did not respond or forbid it.

When Winsi entered the school gate, he was astonished because almost no children were walking with him only a few people, because on average they were driven by a car or using their own motorbike.

The school building was so magnificent, consisting of several classes lined up and all three stories high. All the average students are seen from among the people, there are even some students with blaster-faced or blonde hair, likely they are the descendants who live in the city and attend school there.

Although Winsi went down before the school gate but, Hasnu kept waiting and the middle-aged man drove him to the office, explained and introduced Winsi to one of the teachers he had known before.

When the school bell sign siswa must enter the classroom, Winsi was taken to the room where she studied. He was introduced in front of all the friends, and could see them until he was disappointed because in that class there was no Meri. Yeah, chances are she won't sit with my best friend.

The lesson hours began, Winsi sat in the back seat because only the chair was left. He took lesson after lesson seriously. He is not classified as a smart child, but from now on he will try his best, want to make his father happy to be an accomplished child.

When his time off he went around himself looking for his best friend Merry, from class to class he visited, even while heading to the cafeteria also some places, but he did not meet.

There was not a single friend he knew yet, as he did not try to get to know them. All the friends in his class were acting indifferent and as if he didn't exist.

It turns out unexpectedly they met at the school gate, when the lesson was over and the time to go home.

“Merri!” Calling Winsi joyfully, he smiled widely and stepped quickly towards Mary who seemed to be waiting for a taxi.

“Wiwin?” who is Merry with perfectly widened eyes. He was so shocked and could hardly believe seeing Winsi from head to toe. His former best friend was dressed the same as him so he could guess that Winsi was now in the same school as well.

“Yes, it's me, how are you?” Winsi said as she tried to hug Merry— her best friend. However, the girl refused and restrained Winsi's body from touching her. Winsi was dumbfounded and immediately took one step back, thinking his best friend was joking and then he chuckled.

“Hai! Why, I smell ya?” he said, pointing his nose to both his right and left armpits and then, laughing again.

“Yes, you stink! That's you realize ... Why are the decks the same as me? Go there!” her mouth as she wagged her right hand as if to drive away like she was a fly flying over food.

Merry said so loudly that other friends who were close to Meri and happened to be around her, came closer. When the Meri spoke, they were wearing helmets or riding their respective motorcycles and there were also those who were looking for a taxi like him.

“Who is Mer, your new friend?” ask one of Merry's friends who approached earlier. Now there are some people standing between Winsi and Merri.

“Yes, I knew him once but, now no longer cementing, see for yourself what kind?” Merry said as he took his gaze to Winsi, from head to toe. Her lips were cut while both her hands were folded in front of her chest.

Everyone looked in the same direction then, smiling obliquely, indeed the Winsi clothes looked new but, the shoes and bags were very shabby and cheap. No one dressed like that in this school, maybe for them the shoes and bags worn by Winsi, will be in the trash instead of being worn to school.

“Heh! Who are you?” ask one of the other children while pushing Winsi's shoulder and pulling her headscarf.

“She's My Sister!”
