A Precious Land

“Sorry, have we known before?” ask Winsi at the person seen on the phone screen. He looked at the man indifferently.

Erlan, the man across there was stunned.

“Wiwin, don't pretend, we already know each other!” Erlan. He had suspected that Winsi was at his father's friend's house, when he saw the photo uploaded on his social media account because, he said, he was sure his father would not entrust the girl to anyone other than Nafadi. They are like family and have been friends since childhood.

Erlan could not contact in various ways, as it seemed that Winsi had deliberately put a clear distance and boundary between them. Therefore, all he can do is often see the uploads on his social media, because it is only from the media that he knows about the news and activities he does. She was quite happy with that, as long as her social media accounts were not blocked from friendships.

He was not surprised, with the attitude of Winsi who seemed to hate him, though, until now he did not know the cause. However, once he suspected that if all of that was due, the call of the child was buluk to him. If it was true, then, he was anxious to confirm it and apologize. However, unfortunately Winsi never gave him a chance.

“Hi, you are not polite!” waila said as Winsi turned her body away.

“Waila, please continue your chat, I want there to be a need,” Winsi said as she walked back to the closet and picked up her worship supplies.

"What do you need? You just came, right? time to go again, anyway?"

"Yes, it's up to me!"

Waila glanced at him at a glance, while pouting then, she said, “Sok holy! Where are Sholeh people but jutek with others? Introspect yourself there!”

After saying so, Waila left Winsi who had started worship.

After finishing praying, Winsi thought at once pensively thought about Waila's previous speech. The girl he had just known was already judging him on a slant. There is a dislike of being judged so by someone. However, he immediately remembered that the good of man is not only seen from the goods given but, also judged from his attitude to others. What is easier to hurt the heart of man is words and deeds.

Therefore, there is a priest who says that the goodness of a person is not measured by the number of prayers and fasts he prays but by his deed to those closest to him. (Ibnul Qoyim)

Winsi really did introspection because of the speech that Waila made. Yes, sometimes one cannot guess if ordinary people, can bring out words that contain wisdom and are not realized by those around them.

The girl realized the mistake she had made to Erlan. It is not a big mistake but, if small sins are committed continuously it will be great.

Finally, Winsi ventured to contact Erlan. He first tidied up his prayer equipment then, picked up the phone and turned it back on.

He began to see Erlan's messages from the beginning, which he had always ignored. It was a message he had read more than a year ago and had never read. However, messages in the application are still up to now, even continue to grow.

Suddenly he felt guilty. However, he did not know where to start answering the messages from because the numbers were so many.

Finally, the girl wrote, “Wa’alikummussalam. Alhamdulillahot. I'm fine and my activities are normal. I'm going to college here. So, don't worry because there are many people who always help me. Hope you're okay too. Excuse me. All this time never reply to your message, thank you for your kindness all this time and see you.”

Not long after sending the message, Winsi turned off the phone again. He did not give Erlan the next opportunity to contact or be able to reply to each other's messages, because what Provinsi wrote there seemed to hint if the message was the first and also the last of him.

Winsi sat next to Nafadi who was focusing on driving his car to a place he wanted to go. That day they went to look for the location of the precious land of the relics of the two parents of Runa. Armed with the documents Badri provided, his determination was so strong as to regain the treasures he had left behind for more than 20 years. Although he was still in doubt, whether the land was still there or not but, he still had to work on it first before finally being able to give up.

Winsi knows, if the sick old man is not messing with the challenge, because Badri is a very stubborn person when it comes to possessions.

“Come! We're down! We first find information here,” Nafadi said while opening the car door, followed by Provinsi.

“This is the village office, Mas?”

“Yes. The village can certainly give a little information.”

They were just about to step into the village office, when suddenly Nafadi's phone rang. The man immediately lifted his phone from his pants pocket and looked at the screen, then, turned to Winsi.

“Your father!” he said while attaching the flat object to the ear. “Halo!” said again.

Some time Nafadi was silent hearing Arkan talking to him. After a while he ended the call, turned to Winsi and then said, “Enable your HP. Let your mom be easy if you want to call!”

Winsi's heart immediately churned, only yesterday he turned off the phone after the completion of sending a message to Erlan. He did not think about his mother's anxiety, and acted selfishly. Just for avoiding Erlan but, instead, hurting his own mother. Finally, he turned on his phone.

As soon as the mobile phone owned by Wisi is activated, immediately heard several times the sound that indicates the entry of message notifications.
