You Who
Asked that, Winsi turned his head back and looked at Arkan with his innocent childish face then, shaking his head.
“Usually, it's at home, right?”
This time Winsi nodded. A moment later he took a deep breath, because usually the father was at home too. But in his heart he prayed that the fearful man would not be in his house. Basri most dislikes, seeing dirty things, of course he will be very angry when he sees the current state of Winsi. The state of their home is simple, always looks clean and neat thanks to the hard work done by Runa— his mother.
Arriving in the courtyard of Runa's house, Arkan parked his car closer to the terrace, so that Winsi easily entered without having to rain again. He saw that the little girl's body was already shivering.
When exposed to rain water, the condition and body temperature will adjust the cold so that for some time it will not be cold, but if it is not raining anymore, then the body temperature will decrease so that, for some time, it will feel cooler than before. If a person's immune system is bad, usually will experience fever, colds and so on.
Arkan was down and allowed himself to be drenched in the rain, as he walked from the car all the way to the terrace.
Meanwhile Runa rushed out as soon as he heard the sound of a car stopping in front of his house. Just as he opened the door, he saw a tall, strapping man with his wet suit stellan, opening his car door to his children's Winsi— and helping him get off.
Runa widened her eyes, approached her son and said, “Yes Allah. Win ... You are soaking wet like this, let's quickly take a shower and change clothes, let's not catch a cold!”
After saying so, he turned to the man standing beside himself and his son, then, his eyes narrowed, trying to remember a face that was staring at him fixedly.
“You ...” said Runa as she opened her mouth. Suddenly his heart seemed to lose a beat as he said something that made Arkan smile, like mocking himself, “Sorry, you who are ya?”
“You don't remember me?” ask Arkan later.
There was a bit of disappointment in his heart as the question told him that Runa had forgotten about it. Though he immediately remembered Runa when he first saw her, he did not directly meet her at that time because he was busy.
Runa furrowed her brows and tried to justify a thought that suddenly flashed, that the man looked like someone. But he shook his head to shake his mind, then what came out of his mouth was, “sorry, I don't remember.”
‘Hai. It's been a dozen years ago, who knows I was wrong, after all how could he be here?’ batin Runa while removing the bag and jacket from her son's body.
“Come, we start everything from scratch, introduce, I'm Arkan. You're Runa, right? Runa Umaya?”
Runa was dumbfounded, hurriedly clenched her hands in front of her chest and smiled, Arkan still remembered her. He stared at the once familiar face, according to him a lot Arkan changed, both from the face, posture, and appearance, very different.
Stared like that, Arkan furrowed his brows and said, “Why, don't you believe this, me?”
“Not so, but you are much different from the last we met.”
“Low, that was fifteen years ago. Umm ... is your husband home?”
Runa turned her gaze and lowered her head to look towards Winsi who had now taken off her dirty and wet shoes. He thought, about Arkan.
The man lived in the mansion for a long time, but did not immediately occupy it because when he began to move, his mother and father needed his help in business, considering his age was getting older. While both of his brothers live abroad and are unable to take care of their parents' business.
Arkan entrusted Erlan to the husband and wife of Hasnu and Neni, his confidant who worked as a driver and household assistant. Therefore, Erlan until now used to call his driver as father, because he considers the fifty-year-old man as his adoptive father.
It was only about one year that he started living there, having already gained a confidant to take care of his father's business, and returned to taking care of his own business.
Runa realized that, that Arkan and his family did not know too much, with the neighbors because it was the residents of the mansion, never seemed to associate with the surrounding community.
“My husband hasn't come home yet, he's a truck driver, so the return is not necessarily when,” replied Runa calmly, silent for a moment ago, continued talking, “Where did you find my son?”
“Oh.” It was just a word that came out of Winsi's mouth because he no longer knew what to say, although, many flashed in his mind, the atmosphere was very awkward.
“Thank you for bringing Winsi, here. Sorry to bother you, you got wet.”
Arkan shook his head, because he did not feel bothered by anyone at all then, he replied, “Not a problem, no need to thank.”
“Sorry, I cannot let you in, you see, my husband is not home.”
Arkan again smiled a little, feeling funny because Runa looked so awkward, even using formal language on her.
“I also don't want to go in, already there take care of your son, keep him cold.”
“Good, I'm in first. Once again thank you.”
“Ya, equally.”
After saying so, Runa and Winsi entered then, closed the door. While Arkan headed for his car, but did not immediately run the vehicle away, but remained silent while staring at the closed door of the house.
A few moments later he turned his car around and left the simple house slowly, as if it was hard to run.
Simultaneously as Arkan's car left the yard, a yellow truck came in. Basri came down, hurriedly heading home to avoid the rain. He slammed the door hard, when he was inside, of course Runa and Winsi were surprised at his arrival.
“Runa!” call Basri from the living room, she is already sitting on the sofa while taking off her wet clothes.
Hearing her name on the call, the woman who had known her husband's character for a long time approached in droves to the living room, leaving Winsi who had not finished bathing.
“What's up, Sir?” tanyakanya. Since the birth of her second child who later died, Runa never again called her Mas, or dear as she used to be, because she was very hurt because of this man's behavior that showed indifference.
“Pake asked, what's up, what's up! You're not a pinter-pinter, are you a wife? Nyesel I married you, Run! I am your husband, so that wife must obey! There, make me coffee!”
Runa let out a long sigh and returned to the kitchen then started making coffee. When he finished, he brought Basri in front of him and sat down in front of him.
“This, Mr. coffee.”
“Who else was this guy, you have a new affair?”
Runa frowned as she looked at her husband who was looking at her, with the gaze of a thousand drawn swords right at her heart. It was not the look in the eyes that made her heart ache like it was being hollowed out, but her words. Can't believe if the man she loves never believes it, because she's not a cheating woman.
“Which men?” asked Runa annoyed. There was a sense of worry if her husband knew when Arkan delivered Winsi and had a brief conversation on the porch of his house.
“You don't think I know, what?” Basri said with a grin, he saw the interaction that took place between Runa and Arkan, he knew the man lived in a mansion, the end of the road leading to the city. There was a bit of dislike and jealousy, but another thought came to his head.
“But ... If you're dating that guy, I don't have a problem, he's a rich guy, right? Don't look at Anas, the poor man! That's why I don't like Winsi, he's a poor boy who doesn't want responsibility. No use.”
“Pak, what are you talking about, anyway?” Runa looked very agitated as she spoke. Her husband's mind was so stinging!
