A More Painful View
Runa's gaze followed the direction that Winsi had pointed out, narrowing his eyes. His heart suddenly rumbled as he did see Basri, across the street and everything he did was clearly visible from where he was and was.
Two opposite-sex people sit in a truck that is used for a living. It just so happened that the car broke down on the side of the road, that was when the heavily dressed woman came over and Basri was unable to resist her charm.
Runa was young, so was the woman sitting next to her husband but, the woman was sexier and seductive unlike her.
Basri looked so happy with the spoiled woman, clinging to her arms and resting her head on her shoulders. As soon as Runa's heart was so sore as it was being hollowed out, with a shard of glass, her eyes warmed up as it began to water. She still respects her husband, despite often being rude and disowned her own son, and accuses him of cheating without proof. Her guilt grew in Runa's eyes because this time, she leaned her heart on another woman.
Runa looked away because he was not strong enough to see something that could be fun for others, but sadness for others. This is more painful than being slapped or kicked with all your might. She would have really parted ways if, it was proven that her husband was having an affair.
Everything Basri accused him of made no sense because Basri only looked at a glance, there was a man in his room, even though it was an emergency, there were even witnesses that she did nothing with the man who helped her. But what Runa saw was something different, they clearly looked so friendly and, occasionally, Basri kissed the back of the woman's hand beside him.
“Come! Win, we're home. Clean everything first,” said Runa in the end. She glanced at her daughter who still saw her father across the street so happy, but not with her mother or herself. Winsi's gaze was so fierce, even her tears overshadowed her and disappointment was evident on her face.
‘Who is that woman?’ his inner.
Seeing that Winsi remained silent and did not do his orders, Runa patted his son's shoulder and then, he said, “Already, do not look at your father, we just go home.”
“Yes, Bu.”
Winsi awoke from his mind and immediately obeyed his mother's orders, he packed his place of sale, and brought it back home. But in his heart he still wondered about who the woman who had taken his happiness and his mother. He was too young to know what an affair was in the adult world, but he knew enough that it made him feel bad then, feeling hatred like a cloud of cloudiness when it was about to rain, the longer it gets thicker and darker.
*****
A few days later, Basri came home after a day almost late in the afternoon. The moment she entered the house, Runa did not welcome her as usual. The condition of the house is neat and Runa does not show the trunk of his nose.
‘Where is that woman?’ inward Basri and he circled the whole room calling out the name of his wife, but no Susra answered his call. He's a rough guy who actually still needs a wife in his life and, facing this kind of situation, he's worried that, Runa is leaving him.
“Runa! Get out of you, don't joke. You're home, right? Runa!” he shouted while walking all over the house, especially he was very hungry. For him, the food cooked by Runa is very good.
Basri sat on the sofa of his small living room, lighting a cigarette. Then, his mind floated on the times he had been through with his wife. He had been careless all this time to Runa and her son, suddenly there was a sense of tightness running through his chest just after he felt his house was so quiet. His heart also seemed to be drawn in loneliness, considering he had done a lot of cruel.
However, he felt that everything he did to Runa like hitting and slapping, it was natural as a husband to be obeyed. Moreover, he who has worked hard to make a living, while his wife is only a man who happens to be married then, live together in his home. A wife should be grateful .. hitting and slapping it is a lesson, so that the wife submits to her husband.
Now that he had thought for a long time and realized that he had never been happy with Runa lately, guilt was back to whack. Various bad thoughts stuck in his mind, that he was completely abandoned. Thinking back on all his actions to Runa and Winsi, he understood that the two women had finally left. Ahk .. Even if Vinsi is not his own flesh and blood, he should not be so rude, as a form of humanity.
Basri was intending to go out of the house alone, meet another woman who might please him tonight and, just as he was about to open, the door was already open from the outside. Runa and Winsi stood at the door holding their faces and scriptures in their hands.
“When did you come home?” Winston asked after saying his regards. Without waiting, she left both her parents a room. He asked, but he really didn't need an answer. The look on his face was tangled and showed his dislike.
“From where, you guys!” tanyanya.
Basri was upset with the boy, angry and upset when he would be gone. Every time he saw Winsi, he saw the shadow of the man in the room with his wife, either at home or in the house. What kind of coincidence happens twice? Moreover, at that time he did not have much money, so he thought if Runa sold himself, in order to earn income.
Runa was indifferent, even impressed to ignore Basri, as if only flies were flying in the air. He still remembered everything he had seen a few days ago, to the point of feeling disgusted and angry, but he held on with all his might because he did not want to get angry, day after day was tiring.
“Bikinin coffee! I am also hungry ..” Basri said giving the order. He had almost given up losing if he was left behind, but in fact he was not, Runa was still there and he could finish his desire tonight.
“You, from where?” asked Basri later, while sitting at the dinner table, where Runa had prepared before his departure to the mosque and met a friend who could give him a spiritual look. He hadn't visited his friend in a long time.
Runa remained silent, she was lazy to talk to this husband. Since her appearance, she did not talk and asked something as usual, the woman would continue chattering to break the silence.
“Runa, I asked why diem? You hear me talking?” said Basri while standing and glaring at his wife, lost already the regret that had existed.
“Ya listen,” replied Runa briefly and without expression.
After finishing preparing the drink and food to the plate, Runa just left for her room. His attitude again raised Basri's suspicions, because the good news was that he would accompany him to the end.
“Runa, come here!”
“Why, the Sir. Mom was tired. Let's rest!”
“You?”
“Yes, I why?”
