Babas

Winsi was lazy to serve Erlan's question until he looked up while carrying back the backpack that was originally lowered. The man's voice rose when he asked, making him ashamed when heard by others.

The girl wanted to leave because she missed her mother and would stay there if she could. The stupidity with school and other things because the important thing right now is to see if Runa is okay.

“Hai, Win! Where are you going?”

“Bawles! Not going anywhere!”

“Kalo not going anywhere to bring such a big bag?”

Winsi turned his head for a while in a fit of annoyance and satin ‘kan I told you I wanted to go to the police station, stupid!’

“Yes, yes, I'm taking you. Come Ride!” erlan said after seeing Winsi continue to walk without caring about her.

The wind that blows strong when the motor matic starts to accelerate, making the veil Winsi fluttering, he was a little awkward though, a large bag so the distance between their bodies on top of the vehicle that was running.

The journey for some time melded the little girl with his thoughts because he did not know what to do without his mother.

‘This is how it feels if you don't have a Mom .. I have to how?’

Provinces as the saying goes ‘various chicks lose their mother’ confused! He was never alone, there was always his mother and not close to his father, so he seemed to lose his grip when he fell.

Erlan saw Winsi crying from the rearview mirror of her motorcycle, made her stop the vehicle on the side of the road then, invite her to sit on the sidewalk.

“In the meantime, now tell me first why your mother can be there?” ask when they sit side by side.

Winsi turned his head for a while towards Erlan, looking at her face expectantly, she could be the right place for him to talk.

The girl said everything that happened from the beginning, about the arrival of Nira, the accusations that she received even plainly she said that, he deserved all the suffering because he was indeed a child that his father never expected to see in the world. So it's only natural that Basri supports the woman putting her in a holding cell even though she's not necessarily proven guilty.

“So, your mother replaced your position, so?” ask Erlan. “You really don't steal, do you?”

“No, Lan!” winsi said while wiping away tears. “I didn't know she had a bracelet like that. I don't know how it can be in my bag. I took the bag to school and there was nothing. Weird, right?”

After Winsi finished telling the story, Erlan grabbed the phone in her pants pocket, then swiped the screen to make a call.

“Dad!” he said as soon as the phone was connected. “When, Dad home?”

After saying a few things, Erlan hoped that Arkan could soon return from Yogyakarta as soon as possible because he had a problem that had to be solved immediately.

Winsi does not understand why Erlan contacted his father after learning of the incident that happened to him. But he did not ask because he felt he did not need to know the man's business.

They drove back and arrived in front of the police station just before the magrib arrived. The holding room is in the back, of course there is no specific time to visit those who are still in detention there.

Erlan escorted the girl to where her mother was, after reporting and filling out the guest book and other procedures.

“Ya!” sahut Winsi nodded, then sat on the floor near the iron bars that separated him and his mother.

Erlan has been lousy to get permission so that Winsi can be with her mother tonight. The girl continued to whine shamelessly in front of the few policemen on duty that night.

Actually they need a lawyer, to be able to get a temporary residence permit in the detention room when, Winsi is not a defendant who must bear the sentence in court. But Erlan promises to bring in a lawyer for Runa as soon as possible, until the police give her a proclamation.

With a heavy heart, Erlan left the girl and her mother in there because she also had some promises that she had to keep with her friends.

“Mother, when can be free from here?” asked Winsi in his mother's arms, he was there with other prisoners of the same fate, waiting for the sentencing hearing for their mistakes, no matter what they would accept.

Runa let out a long sigh, he did not know when he would become a prisoner. Given now that they are confined, it makes him understand the true meaning of freedom for a human being in the world.

As free as humans, still have to obey the existing rules, both from the government, from the head of the family, even from his Tunan. This is the only rule that is restrictive and cannot be disputed for any reason. Because, doing prayer only, if you can not stand then it must be done by sitting, if you can not sit by lying down, if you can not lie down then with eye movements.

This rule signifies that God's rules cannot be disputed at all costs.

“Nak, there is no absolute freedom in this world, except in heaven,” said Runa, making Provinsi think by furrowing his brows. He smiled and slowly began to fall asleep.

Although living in a narrow room, on a mat and crowded with people they do not know, as long as it is still with his mother then, that is the most comfortable place for him.

The night was getting late, the police station was getting quieter, there were only a few people who stayed because of guard duty, picket or work on reports and overtime because of urgent cases and difficult to handle.

Runa is ensnared in article 372 of the Penal Code of Law on theft, which reads: who takes something, wholly or partly belonging to another person, which is meant to be owned unlawfully, which is, threatened for theft, with a maximum prison sentence of five years or a maximum fine of nine hundred rupiah.

The elements that comply with the article and are carried out by Runa in the lawsuit filed by Nira are, taking part or all of it with the intention of becoming private property by unlawful means. Winsi's bracelet and school bag became evidence that Nira brought when reporting, it was enough to make the woman unable to wart.

The next morning, Winsi and Runa woke up to the sound of dawn in the mosque not far from the police station where they were. All prisoners were given equal opportunities to worship according to their beliefs and religion.

Only two of the mother and son went to perform dawn prayers after cleaning themselves in a public WC that was fused with their room, a temporary place for the inmates before inhabiting the actual detention house.

“Why is there a child here? Is he also a prisoner?” said a voice that suddenly sounded from outside the iron bars, when Runa and Winsi had just finished performing the dawn prayer. The two women immediately turned their heads and saw a horrible looking face of a fat man and full of tattoos.

Winsi inched closer to her body towards Runa and clenched tightly onto her mother's arm while looking at the man vigilantly. Suddenly he remembered his father! Basri's face and body were not as scary as this person's, but his thunderous voice was exactly the same when angry. The rest of the pain and ache in his body seemed to be redesigned, even last time, the man strangled his neck almost killing him.

Someone approached the tattooed man and explained his true circumstances. These two people who were not dressed in police uniforms glanced towards Winsi, while grinning strangely several times. They are two thugs who become police informants and usually come when there is a need or convey important information according to their duties.

“Heh, you know that minors should not be in prison like this?” asked the tattooed man with a scary facial expression. Winsi shook his head, indeed he did not know.

Runa understood his son's fear until he reached Winsi and calmed him down. The man kept asking about Winsi to Runa and the woman replied patiently.

“Then let him out! He is not old enough!” said the tattooed man, as he stepped closer to the guard and took the key of the holding cell.
