He's Not The Best

He's Not The Best
40. A Different Friend

A Different Friend

Winsi walked into the school gate quietly, his gaze straight at the direction his class was in. A place of learning that has been almost two months he did not go to. Before entering school, the girl returned to the therapy class with a different psychologist, from an expert at the Arkan house. It's on his mother's wish at the suggestion of a mental doctor.

Winsi joined with several people who experienced different fate and trauma from various different groups. He attended the class for a whole month in quarantine and was not allowed to be looked at by anyone nearby for a while.

When he entered school, his physical and mental condition was much better, it could even be said that his trauma was gone. Although, there is still a little residual feeling of inferiority, but it will not affect the daily association.

He passed by some of his unfamiliar friends and they only saw his presence at a glance. Of course they are not familiar and are indifferent because, just entering class and school, they no longer see each other, even almost two months.

“Winsi!” fika shouted, as Winsi sat beside her. The two teenage girls both threw smiles and hugged each other for, letting go of the longing for not expecting to see each other again.

Fika heard rumors that, in their school there was one of the students who received indecent treatment, from someone in prison. The issues circulating are very unclear, spread by word of mouth, even who is imprisoned and gets the treatment no one knows for sure.

But he was wondering why the news and rumors coincided with the absence of Provinsi. However, as a friend, the girl threw away her bad thoughts all the way because she couldn't possibly ask something like that to Provinsi. He thought that his best friend must not know the news. While the beriya written by the class leader on school absences that, Winsi did not enter because of severe illness and had to be hospitalized.

“Have you been well You been sick for so long?” asked Fika while patting Winsi's shoulder. The girl smiled and nodded without saying anything.

“Wah, surely you missed the lesson far huh? Almost two months, Win, you don't go to school, actually you're sick, anyway?”

“Not knowing what pain I am. It's what matters now that I'm in school.”

“Hehe. Yes.”

Not long after the conversation was over, the lesson bell in each class began and all teachers arrived according to the lesson and entered the class according to their respective schedules.

Hour after hour of study passed until the break came and, all the children went out of class to do what the students used to do, outside of their study hours.

At that time Winsi stood by leaning in front of the hall of her class. He did want to be alone there, looking into the courtyard where there were some children playing basketball. He's like always, he's not sociable and he's more quiet, he's more fun with himself than he's involved physically and emotionally with a lot of people.

Fika does not ignore him, but Winsy who does not want to follow the habits of Fika because, his compatriot is indeed very different from himself and Merry, cheerful Fika and many joined with other friends, who are very different from him, even during these two months he already had many companions from different classes.

In the past when Winsi was still in elementary school if he did not want to play with others, then Merry would not ignore him but, always accompany and also buy snacks for him.

Suddenly she smiled faintly considering Meri, she knew her SD best friend liked Erlan but, not with the man, she did not have any feelings for him. He had thought about saying what Merri felt to Erlan but, he did not have that kind of courage in his heart.

Especially now, he was already grateful that he would not meet Erlan for not being on one roof anymore with her. When he got out of the therapy class building, his mother took him to a rental home away from his former home with his Basri—bapak, away from Arkan's home also far from where he was studying today. He had to ride public transport twice to get to school because his residence was now closer to the market.

Runa did move out of the Arkan house after two days of Winsi living in the building where he was attending therapy. He had repeatedly asked the owner of a large house for permission to rent his own house until finally with a heavy heart the man allowed him to leave.

He coincidentally found a small former shop house, which was no longer used by its owner. With great difficulty he was finally able to find the owner and successfully hired. Then, he started trading rice as usual, coupled with basic food and various other small snacks.

“Hai!” Suddenly a voice startled the daydreams of Winsi about her new home and her best friend.

He turned his head and looked at Hansya the woman he had fought with, standing at the side with a stupor, while folding both of his hands in front of his chest. He followed some of his loyal friends, all of the women looking in full search towards Winsi.

“You have not been nongol for a long time. Ah ... lest you're actually scared, right, same me?” Hansya.

Winsi.

Hearing Hansya's words, Winshi furrowed her brows, she was confused by the man she was referring to.

‘What does he mean is Erlan, the man who helped me at the time? Then, what else does that mean this time?’ inward Winsi vigilantly, circulated his gaze around and countered all those suspicious looks with a sharp look, the corner of his eyes seemed to tapered and his brows furrowed even deeper to show a solemn expression.

Hansya caught the change in Winsi's face until she walked one step closer to him and, patting her on the shoulder then said softly and softly.

“I mean ... gini, loh, Win!” he said it seemed to melt the atmosphere. “Eh, right, right, your name is Winsi?”

“Ya,” Reply Provinces. “What's the same guy?”

Hansya smiled and he remembered his original goal of approaching Winsi which he saw standing alone in front of his class. For a long time the girl was not seen in her class. He was curious about Erlan. Therefore he tried to approach the child who had once been his rival.

“You know, don't you, who is he, your brother or your friend, may I not know him?”

“Who? Erlans? I don't know which kid he is. So I can not recognize you with him,” said Winsi, indifferent and flat even his face without expression.

“But, you used to be very familiar with him, you took a car together, right? You know where his house is!”

“No, my house is far away because he said his house in Bok two Argasena Complex. If my house is near the market.” Winsi mentioned Erlan's address which was not far from his home first.

Hansya pensively thought about what Winsi said, who must be honest about where he lived. The girl would not lie about herself and Erlan which was very unlikely if they were friends let alone brothers.

“Then, he said that if I was his sister was lying, the real point is, let's not bother me anymore, not even just me but, whoever you're bothering is definitely going to be like that.” Winston added his testimony.

“Oh,” says Hansya finally, while all his other friends, just nodding whenever he talks.

Although a little disappointed but, Hansya still be kind to Winsi because he was worried that if he was nosy again with this girl, it will get the consequences as when he used to disturb her.

The familiarity between Hamsya and Vinsi continued, until the moment they returned home from school. Her class sister invited her home together, by riding a luxury vehicle that is usually boarded with her friends. But he refused, even though their journey home was one way.

Winsi returned alone when Hansya's entourage left, while Fika had already gone home with his other friends. He looked for other shuttles while still standing in front of the school gate. The weather was actually not too hot, but he was reluctant to walk anywhere and, choosing to stand with his other friend again.

That's when Meri suddenly came to surprise him. He wondered why his best friend had returned to his school. He was also a friend who talked.

“Come! We're going home together again!” pinta Meri's.

“Come! Why didn't you just go home?”

“I saw you, earlier. I miss, we haven't seen since you and your mother were taken to jail!”

I don't know what Meri meant until she said that in a loud voice. Of course it attracts attention. Some of the children standing between them turned their heads while furrowing eyebrows full of probing.

The smell of unpleasant news circulating, as if back evaporating. While Winsi did not know that, there was news about the child being persecuted in prison, circulating in his school since a month ago.

“Eh, Mer! What do you mean?”
