He Who Looks Fresh
The next day when Winsi came out of the room, he was surprised to see Erlan still in Nafadi's house. He thought the man had come back last night.
However, now the man seemed to be deliberately waiting for him. He sat in the middle room chair facing directly towards the door of his room, smiling knotfully.
Erlan was happy to see Provinsi come out fresh, it seemed like the girl was already much better at healing the trauma. The man heard a lot about his development since living together with Nafadi.
Erlan's arrival seemed to be a witness to the first night Winsi dared to lock the door of his own room at night.
Usually Nafadi, doing his own reconnaissance, to make sure the girl was comfortable and closed the door slowly, after Winsi had completely fallen asleep. And tonight, he's not alone.
Almost the entire night he and Erlan chatted while waiting until the girl was completely sound, to see if the door of her room was closed or not. It turns out that unexpectedly, when Nafadi did his habit of controlling the door of Winsi's room, they found him already in a state of tight lock from the inside.
Today was the weekend, Erlan felt like he had plenty of time to chat with the girl about the thing that he had talked about last night with Nafadi. They were so curious that even the two men had spoken late into the night, but had not found a meeting point and an answer.
This morning was one way Erlan could do to help Winsi or solve her problem with Anas. The man had to dig deeper into the information about Anas, directly to the person concerned.
One thing that became the question was about what Anas would show from his phone to Provinsi at that time?
Erlan was just about to open her mouth to greet Winsi when the girl first said.
“You haven't come home?”
Erlan shook her head in response.
“Where do you sleep?” asked Winsi again in astonishment, as he thought about where Erlan had slept last night. In the house there are only five rooms each occupied by Nafadi, Wayla and himself, one room used as a doll warehouse and another one occupied by a household assistant, middle-aged women who work there.
Again Erwan did not answer and just moved his chin towards the long sofa where there were pillows and blankets there.
“So when do you want to go home you still want to skip? I told you Same dad.”
“Serah!”
“Wah, gini yes, if people feel great?”
Erlan was silent as she stared at the function straight away and patted the one empty seat beside her gesturing for Winsi to sit there.
The girl only glanced at the place meant by Erlan at a glance, full of reluctance. He let out a rough sigh, while turning his gaze away, showing a real rejection. Then, leave the man alone.
She heads to the kitchen to help the housekeeper like she used to do on weekends. She always cooks her favorite food that Runa often cooked at home when she was a child.
Erlan followed winzi into the kitchen and then the two of them conversed at the dining table of the small bar there.
“Have you ever known Anas, the same guy Waila?” Erlan tried to start a chat.
Winis turned to Erlan by furrowing her brows. Diia did not want to talk about Anas with anyone because her problem with the man had to do with the past and it was very embarrassing. He had told some of his past to Erlan in his early childhood. However, he did not he would not repeat it again this time.
“Actually what do you mean about Anas, we talked about it yesterday, right?”
“Not about Wayla and Anas but about everything else.”
They talked about Anas and Waila's relationship in the car on the way home yesterday. Begi Winsi, the conversation was over when they got home. After entering the room the girl remained there and did not go out again except just at dinner.
‘Does Erlan still remember my question about Anas, when I was a kid first?’ batin Winsi, while waiting for cappucino-flavored coffee from the glass.
They talk while enjoying a famous cup of instant coffee that has a variety of flavors and is liked by young people.
“Nothing else about Anas, we've talked about it so Anas' problem is done.” Winsi said as she put her glass back on the table.
“Are you not curious how she can know mom?”
Suddenly it was as if Winsi's heart rate had lost a beat. He could not believe that Erlan still remembered him.
“Not necessarily what he meant was the same name Runa. Is Runa's name just my mom?”
“Why didn't you just say it yesterday with Om Anas?”
“Indeed you are not curious, so?”
The pensive principle for a moment he was not not curious but he just did not want to say it.
“I remember you were also talking about Anas back then at home, right? Does it have anything to do with your past or with Mr Basri for example?”
Hearing Erlan's question made Winsi stunned, then left because he was reluctant to serve a topic of conversation that for him did not need to be discussed.
Erlan again followed the steps to where Winsi went, even aligned him. While Winsi was still indifferent.
“I don't mean anything if I can help but, I don't know what to help if you don't talk.” Erlan said without looking towards the winisa.
The girl stopped her steps she turned her head with a serious face then said, “In fact you can help, you really want to know why I'm looking for a person whose name is Anas?”
“Ya.”
“Ih, really curious, anyway? Anas is just a name that has been called Father, I am also curious whether I am his son.”
“Means?”
Wingsi continued his steps sitting on the living room sofa, where the room was far from anyone's room. He did not want his story this time to be heard by anyone else except Erlan. Nafadi and Waila had not come out of her room either. Perhaps the two people were still sleeping soundly considering today was a weekend, where there was no activity that required them to immediately get ready in the morning.
Winsi and Erlan sat facing each other on the large sofa of the room, then, one of them spoke to the other as a loyal listener. Because Winsii believes there is something he can do if he talks to Erlan who knows the man has a solution to prove the truth that the father said when he was a child.
“Give me a strand of your hair?” erlan said after the winsi finished telling everything about her curiosity to a person named Anas.
“For what?”
“Test DNA!”
“Indeed can, how to take his hair Om Anas also?” Winsi said while handing over a hair that he deliberately pulled out from behind his veil.
“Can, just relax. This could be proof for you to deny or talk to Mr. Basri, someday if you meet him again.”
“Bapak is in this city, kok!”
“Yes. I know.”
“Where did you know?”
“Dad.”
“Oh.”
“When do you want to go home?”
“Later semester break.”
“Cable me, Yes.”
“No!”
It was anxious that Erlan heard the original Winsi's reply.
