He Who Went And He Who Came
Winsi, who was looking at Arkan, turned to Badri and saw the old man's eyes closed again.
The girl was astonished and thought that if Badri tried hard to wake up just because he wanted to tell her to be wary of Basri, he was the man who had caused her suffering since childhood.
“Dad! Exist with Grandpa?” Winsi said agitatedly as he felt the strangeness that had happened to Badri.
The man had just woken up and whispered something, clasping his hand but, now his eyes had closed again. Of course the teenager who knew nothing was worried and, he immediately let go of Badri's hand just like that. He moved away from the bed, while his entire body suddenly sweated and trembled.
“Why?” Arkan asked cautiously he was also more worried about Winsi.
“Is Grandpa okay? He held my hand but, now no longer.”
Arkan smiled and understood his worries. Of course a sick person will not be able to survive to do something long enough, including when holding his hand.
“Already, accompany your mother, there! He misses you.” Arkan said as he sat back to the chair that was occupied by Winsi.
“Daddy, there is no way mom miss ... just two days Wiwin left. Isn't Mom used to living months in the pesantren?”
“Now, right, different ... your mother is pregnant with your sister, maybe your sister is in the belly.”
Winsi pursed her lips because Arkan's words sounded funny because the child in the stomach could not have longing.
Longing is only for people, women or men who have grown up and know a feeling called affection and love. So, how can a baby in the stomach and not alive can feel longing, whereas, seeing each other has never been? Her thought.
Winsi knew according to the religion he learned that if the baby in the womb, will be given life by his Lord and he will only be asked to testify that Allah—, who has created.
After that, it is determined how life, sustenance, matchmaking and how death occurs, if he undertakes, then, the baby will continue to live until the end of life according to the age limit that has been determined anyway, in that deal.
The scriptures say so, but there is no explanation for a baby longing or wanting something in the stomach, until most people call it cravings.
Basically, the term cravings arises because of the desire of the heart of a pregnant woman who does require more attention than those closest to her. So, it's only natural that sometimes his wishes are a little strange.
In such conditions, pregnant women will experience a lot of hormonal changes, which cause their feelings to be sensitive and will be easily sad or offended if their wishes are not met.
Suddenly Winsi was amused and felt that Arkan was joking to comfort her so as not to be too afraid of the changes that had happened to Badri.
After that he went back to his mother's room and saw Runa who was asleep. He sat down on the side of the bed and stroked the hand that was tucked in an infusion needle there until he felt pity. She has sacrificed a lot for everyone, especially herself.
It was as if the day was going so slowly as the path of a snail, a legless beast that only used stomach and mucus to be able to walk from one place to another.
Winsi woke Runa to pray magrib, after she finished washing in the bathroom. Runa performed the service in bed, while Winsi prayed on his own alphabet next to his mother's ward. However, the girl fell asleep, after she finished doing it she looked so tired that it was only natural to fall asleep immediately after finding a good place even on a sheet of prayer mats.
Runa let Winsi sleep there, while she herself continued to recite, after which she intended to have dinner with the food that was available at her bedside.
The two women were so busy with themselves that they did not see some doctors stepping in a hurry to enter Badri's room.
Shortly after, Arkan enters his wife's treatment room in a hurry.
“Ya,” replied Runa immediately stopped eating because, he was finishing dinner, before taking the medicine.
“Call Daddy, he's gone!” said the man with a slightly trembling voice. Although still calm as usual but, from the voice it implies if he is so deep sadness in his heart. He held the feeling so well that he did not show it in the slightest.
Of course the two women in the room were surprised, Winsi immediately stood up while removing her face. Meanwhile, Runa instantly pulled out the infusion needle in her hand and walked slowly out of the room following her husband.
So did Winsi, she caught up and walked behind the two of them.
“What are you doing, why are you pulling out your infusion needle? Don't worry about me taking care of it, you better take a break!” arkan said as soon as he saw Runa walking by his side, with a pale face and tears streaming down his cheeks.
“Let, I ...” says Runa.
“What? I'm not asking you to look at Dad and take care of his body, I'm just asking you to pray! What's hard?”
“Dad! Let Mom, don't scold her!” sahut Winsi.
Arkan was silent and took a deep breath while shaking his head. Letting the two women be around him.
They were outside Badri's open room, watching the doctors deal with an already stiff and cold body, to repeat the examination and confirm that, the old man was completely lifeless again, then, they wrote the data making a report and released all the tools attached to his body.
Winsi was so stunned to see Badri's sudden death. I could not believe that God had taken the life of the old man because he had just spoken. The girl had felt something strange about Badri's message to her, as if a gesture as a last word to her.
The incident he had just experienced, facing a death in a family member, was the first time for Winsi. He's pretty lost.
Loss is lost it will never come back, when it returns it may just go away. And if it goes it will definitely go home but, the return will never be time bound. You can go home at any time according to time and opportunity.
Any loss would imply a change, a loss of taste would probably turn bland, a loss of color would probably become gloomy and a loss of people would probably become desolate.
However, do not lose everything without faith because life will turn dark.
At that time, Winsi felt that what Badri said was a will from people who would die. Then, he thought about whether he should do the will and what if one day Basri really needed his help? Is it sinful to violate Badri's message?
“Win!” call Arkan to disperse the daydreams of Winsi, making the girl turn her eyes from Badri's room to her father's face.
“Yes, Dad!”
“What did Grandpa tell you back then?” ask Arkan made Winsi pensive again, he remembered that when Badri did not say anything, against Arkan because his hand grip weakened and his eyes immediately closed again.
Winsi said everything he had heard from Badri, without leaving a single word because the old man's words were so memorable and he remembered them so vividly.
“So, it's all about you even in the last moment? I didn't expect that dad loved you so much.” Arkan said with a faint smile.
“What does that mean, Dad?”
