A few days after the wedding.
I never imagined it would happen in front of my eyes.
Having Father and Brother connect who only met a few times, even between the meetings there was not a single one that made me memorable.
What's wrong with my mom? Marrying men like him. The cold-faced man with his gaze who always looked at me was like checking something on me.
Who, him? My sister? Since when do I have it?
“Sky, what food is bad? Since earlier you just looked at him,” scolded his mother.
“Hmm, my stomach is a little bad, Bu.”
Keen looked at me as well as Ken.
“But you have to appreciate Mom's cooking,” says with a smile and then come back cold.
“Alright, Bu.”
To be honest, Mom looked like she lost her identity. I've been the best on that version of Mom but it doesn't seem to make me enough and want to be more.
Like the food you cook.
Not like the food I've always missed.
“Are you always going to be like this? Feeling uncomfortable like you want to escape,” said Keen.
“Hey, don't be so hard on her,” Mom whispers to Keen that I can still hear.
“Who do you mean?” I said, looking at Keen.
“Me or your own son?” my continue.
“Sky, take care of that discussion! You talked to your father,” firmly Mother.
“He's not my Dad, Bu.”
“Leave it, it's okay. Young people are always like that, yet understand what it means to be an adult. You don't want to stay here?”
Keen is bragging.
“What is it with young people and parents that it is as if they have become the most mature?” it was like putting out something that stuck in my mind.
“Sky, you embarrassed me. I never taught you that. Ah, you're too close to your father.”
“Why do you always talk like you've committed a crime? Father is innocent, Ma.”
“Your mother is innocent. You're the guilty one. You always ruin the mood. Stop whining spoiled child!” Keen made me want to hit him in the face.
Ken put down his fork and spoon in a loud voice. Then get out of his seat and leave the place.
So do I. Do the same thing.
I walked out with a fucked up mind.
“Why can't you hold it?” ken's voice was right behind me.
“What do you mean?”
“Your anger is.”
“You said, my anger?”
“Yes, can't you just shut up and finish your meal after it's done. You can go back to your room and lock the door.”
“Ah, are you being stupid?”
“I understand how you feel but at least pretend.”
“I'm sorry, but I'm not like you.”
“You and I are not worthy to be Brother and Sister.”
“It is true.”
“Are you not hungry? You always never finish your food.”
“Hmm, the question..you just ask or care about me?”
“Both.”
“Hah, why do you care about me?”
“I told you, it was just a gesture of pretense. You don't understand what I mean, do you?”
“Ah, so. You're so funny. Living with pretense.”
“Not you either. Living with pretense. You look fine, actually not. What's the difference between you and me?”
His words made me silent. Ken sat at a distance with me.
The man closed his eyes wearing earphones.
“What is a mask?” my many.
Ken looked at me with a confused look.
“What are you wearing,” My fingers are pointing at the ears.
“You ask because you care or are curious?”
“Both,” as if following him.
Ken smiled and then came back cold. “You seem to need it,” Ken threw 2 packs of chocolate at me.
“Oy! You put the paper under my door?” my many.
“Take it's part of the pretence I have.”
“Stop putting those papers under my door, you understand!”
“Alright, for a while. At least act calmly and I won't do it like you said.”
Ken went back inside the house.
The next day happened again until the time came. Time for me to end it.
“Aku harus pindah, Ibu.”
“Bu, I'll move.”
No one heard me. Mom eats with the eating habits you learned in a class she took recently. Keen as usual didn't think I existed. Ken just stared at me.
“Bu, I'll move today.”
I repeat it again.
“Ya, I know.”
“What will? What exactly do you want?”
“Money?” Keen suddenly spoke.
“Dad, I guess those words are not worth listening to.”
Ken?
She talked?
“You defended him, Ken? Or just as a formality? Formality as a Brother?” keen's laughter sounded satisfied with the look in his eyes which certainly led to me.
“What do you need?” mom said to me.
“Hey, you're wrong..What's the truth you need?”
Keen made me want to hit him. That guy really deserved a hit.
But…
I couldn't have done it.
“Hahaha, is everything because of money, Mom? Married a wealthy old man like.”
“You said my dad, old grandpa?”
Look Ken in the eye, creepy.
“Sky, more you go now!” that's what came out of Mom's mouth.
“You will get nothing from me, go spoiled child!” Keen flipped the glass whose shard almost hit my leg.
“You okay?” Ken pulled my hand away from the broken glass that had spread on the floor.
“Dad, why did you do it? Dad almost hurt him.”
“Dad doesn't care, Ken. He does not deserve to be treated well.”
Ken took my hand and took me upstairs. “You're crazy, yeah. Don't you know? My dad could do more than that.”
“Ah, what a pity your fate is living with Dad like.”
“Sky!”
“Are you helping me? As Sister formality?”
“Well, you really see me like that?”
“Thank you, you need that, right?”
“You're really going to move?”
“Ya.”
“Then what about your life?”
“Ah, are you talking about money?”
“Sky, can't you be more serious?”
“What do you care about, Ken? To me, you're a nobody. Why do I answer your questions.”
“Sky, I just want to be nice.”
“Alright, what do you want to do?”
“Introducing you out the gate.”
“Hahaha, as if you were letting go of me?”
“As far as you are and this..” Ken gave me a paper.
“What is this?”
“Open it.”
“You look cool today.”—Fill that paper.
“Why didn't you say it directly in front of me?”
“You will consider me sincere.”
“Ah..”
“Where will you move to?” tanyanya while bringing my 2 komper down through the stairs.
“Reclaration.”
“Oh, okay.”
“Need I call—taxi?”
“No, someone has picked me up.”
“Really? You got a girlfriend?”
“Hey, what exactly are you doing?” Sky who looked astonished by the question.
Mom and Keen just looked at me and passed. So do I.
“That's him.”
“You sure?”
“Iya. Thank you, for helping me.”
“This suitcase means?”
“Ya.”
“By—e, Sky!”
Sky was no longer in front of him.
Crews!
“Sky!”
“Hei, Sky!”
“Where are you, Sky?”
“Kai, I'm here.”
“Kai!”
