Zeke was heartbroken when he saw tears running down Lacey's cheeks. "I have evidence to prove my innocence."
He showed her a dashcam. "My car Dashcam recorded what happened back then. Please check."
Lacey couldn't wait anymore and immediately watched the dashboard camera footage.
He is touched when he thinks Zeke is not turning his back on him. In fact, she rejected Emily's offer and instead sided with Lacey.
However, Lacey showed an indifferent attitude as usual. "Hmph! I-I will tell father and mother if you try to bully me in such a way again in the future!"
Zeke muttered to himself. "I'm afraid father and mother won't take your side either."
Lacey let out a long sigh of sadness.
They really prioritized Zeke over me from now on. If | tells them what happened, maybe they'll side with Zeke and blame me for not trusting him enough. What the fuck!
Zeke flicked Lacey's forehead. "Have you learned your lesson? I will punish you without hesitation if you dare to doubt me again in the future."
NH Chapter 53 This Is Part of My Life
"Hmph! You fucking criminal! Move aside! I have a lot of work to do!"
Zeke's subordinates in the past would have been astonished if they had known what was going on.
The Great Marshall is really trying to hit a girl.
Suddenly, a black Lexus stopped in front of Lacey's office.
Jeremy and Lily get out of the car.
Lacey knitted her brows. "What kind of business do they have with me?"
Although he did not appreciate Jeremy's presence, he had to be polite because he was his uncle. Therefore, he stepped out of his office to greet her.
"Uncle Jeremy, Lily, what brought you here today?"
Jeremy was looking around the steel mill. His eyes glinted greedily. "Mm, I'm here to check the steel mill environment."
"Lacey, you did a great job in taking care of the factory."
Lacey replied cautiously, "Not really."
Jeremy continued, "Lacey, I've spoken to your grandfather, and we don't want to waste your talent handling this steel mill anymore."
"I've decided to hand over ten acres of mine land in the eastern region to you. I'm sure you'll be able to build a new steel mill on a larger scale."
Lacey couldn't believe her ears when she heard what her stingy uncle said.
He offered me ten acres of land? I'm sure he's not okay.
He decided to proceed carefully. "Uncle Jeremy, are you seriously going to hand over ten acres of your land in the eastern region to me?"
Lily sneered, "You must be dreaming, right? This is a ten-acre plot of land we're talking about. Do you really think we gave it to you for free?"
"You should consider yourself lucky! In return for a ten-acre plot of land, we only want this five-acre piece of land of yours."
Lacey waved at them immediately. "No! That's not possible! My factory was built on this land of ours. I can't move it with me, can I?"
Jeremy assured Lacey, "Don't bother if that's the case. Worry not! Uncle will take good care of this steel mill of yours."
It was obvious what Jeremy was planning at the time. Perhaps even a fool could know his intentions.
The steel mill is Jeremy's final destination.
Lacey suddenly became angry. He could hardly stay calm because the steel mill was his idea.
In fact, steel mills were a big part of his life. He would never give it to anyone else.
Lacey made him stand up clearly and rejected him. "Uncle Jeremy, forget it. I will never hand over this steel mill of mine to you!"
"You don't know how much it means to me! Steel mills are a big part of my life! Nah! This is even more important than my life!"
Jeremy sneers. "Forget over? I'm afraid it's not your decision."
"I have the legal right to this piece of land with me. That makes me the rightful owner of this piece of land!"
Jeremy grabs the official title he has and shows Lacey as he finishes his sentence.
