Chapter 12

"M-Mrs. Douglas, please calm down," Skye pleaded as she ran towards the assistant and offered a cigarette. "My father-in-law doesn't know who you are."

The fat man did not receive the cigarette and instead laughed, "Save your cigarette. Now you're fired. Getting lost!"

In an instant, Skye felt as if her entire world had collapsed. He could not believe he had lost his job just hours after he got it.

"Mr Douglas! Please let me go! I have nothing to do with this family anymore! We haven't even signed the papers yet! It's not official yet! Please forgive me this time! I beg!"

All of Jeremy's relatives looked like they had just been punched in the face. They could not believe that Skye Hans, the person they were proud of in their family, was nothing in front of the fat man.

Hans must sacrifice his relationship with the family to save his position.

"You ungrateful bastard!" jeremy yelling.

"How dare you turn your back on us?" Lily also scolded. "Fuck off by being the sexy head! How dare you treat us like this?"

Skye turned around and pushed Lily away, so hard that she fell to the floor.

"Do you really think you're in a position to talk? Give this room to Mr. Douglas right now!" Skye blaring.

They were a family a moment ago, yet everything changed in the blink of an eye.

Lily could not hold back her tears anymore.

Jeremy had no choice but to draw his last card.

"Do you know who my promised nephew is? Jackson Hamilton!"'s!"

The fat man looked at Jeremy and laughed even louder. "Let me guess, you're the Hinton family, right?"

Jeremy nodded. "Really! This is Jackson's fiancee, Lacey Hinton!"

"Indeed, I have to show respect to the Hamilton family" the fat man said. "But, do you think Jackson would be on my side because of you?"

His statement surprised the whole crowd.

Even the Hamilton family couldn't scare the fat man.

"Stay, Lacey Hinton is quite a famous person now," the fat man said as he looked at Lacey. "The news about him rejecting Jackson is really something. So, which one of you is the trash he chose?"

Lacey was very embarrassed; she wanted to find a hole to hide in.

Zeke stood up slowly, his eyes filled with killing intent.

Hannah Lawson quickly pulls Zeke into her shirt, terrified. "Sit down! Let him say what he wants."

"Don't worry about that," Zeke said indifferently. "I've experienced it with people who make fun of Lacey. It's time || make an example of them."

Zeke then smoked his cigarette before stuffing it into the fat man's throat. Before the fat man realized what was happening, Zeke grabbed him by the neck and lifted him off the floor.

A 300-pound man was easily lifted with just one Zeke hand!

The fat man struggled in pain as he gasped for breath.

But no matter how much the fat man squirmed, Zeke's tight grip held him firmly in place.

The Hinton family could not believe their eyes as Zeke punished the man who dared to challenge the Hamilton family.

But they also felt relieved, because this would make the fat man turn his attention from the family to Zeke.

The Hinton family thought they might be able to live if they cut off their relationship with Zeke.

Lacey was frightened and quickly stopped Zeke. "Hey! Release her!"

Zeke swung his arm and threw the fat man to the floor.

The fat man quickly tried to get his cigarette out, but only blood came out.

"Basic fucker! The men! Drop her!" yelled the fat man.

Lacey quickly grabbed Zeke's hand and pulled him into the window. "You have to run, now! Go as far away from the city as possible until things subside!"

However, before they can reach the window, Jeremy and a group of their relatives get in their way.

Lacey could only look at the crowd with a pale expression.

"Don't worry, Lacey. They won't be able to do anything to me" urged Zeke.

"You.. you..." Lacey doesn't know how to answer.

Liam George heard the commotion and rushed into the dining room with everyone.

Seeing her assistant lying on the floor made Liam angry. "Who did this?"

Jeremy quickly pointed at Zeke. "He did this! We don't know him!"

Realizing things are going to stray, Daniel quickly pulls Hannah away from Zeke.

As Liam stared at Zeke, he wished he had never come to this place. The bureau director would rather meet with Satan than the man in front of him.

"Liam George's. Is this how you educate your men?" Zeke smiled at Liam. "Kicking people out of their rooms and insulting them?"

Liam quickly fell to the floor and pleaded, "I'm sorry, Mr. Williams. I will take all responsibility for the actions of my subordinates."

The director then turned to the fat man and scolded, "Preston Douglas! You're really fired!"

The fat man could only look at Liam desperately.

Who's the guy? Did he just make Liam George beg for his life?

"Go," Zeke ordered Liam. "If I see this happen again, I'll hang your head up for everyone to see."

Liam quickly thanked Zeke before fleeing with the crowd that came with him.

The director was already sweating because he knew Zeke was serious with his head hanging.

The room was completely silent as the Hinton family stared at Zeke with gaped jaws.

The events that have just happened in the last few minutes have been amazing.

Skye, the pride of the family, was first humiliated by the fat man.

Then, the master of the fat man knelt before Zeke, the person they looked down on.

Everyone can't help but start to wonder who Lacey's boyfriend really is.

Zeke turned to look at Lacey lovingly and asked, "Have you eaten enough?"

"What's? Oh, yes," Lacey paused for a moment before replying.

"Then let's go for a walk" Zeke suggested.

"okay." Lacey nodded.

As soon as they reached the door, Zeke lowered his head to look at Preston, who was still in shock. "These people said they didn't know me. You heard that, right?"

What Zeke meant was that because of his family and he didn't know, Preston was free to do whatever he wanted with them.

A smile appeared on the fat man's face. "I understand. Thank you, Mr. Williams."

The Hinton family was stunned when they saw Zeke and Lacey leave.

As soon as they came out of the dining room, Lacey asked Zeke anxiously. "Zeke, are you really going to leave Jeremy and the others like that?"

"I'll do whatever you want" Zeke smiled.

Lacey took a deep breath. "Because they are family... Please let them go."

"OK," Zeke nodded. "But let them first beg your mother and father for forgiveness. It is time for them to repent for their sins."

"You're right," Lacey beamed.

And as Zeke expected, Preston began to threaten Jeremy and his family.
