Great Marshals

Great Marshals
Chapter 16

That man was none other than Jackson Hamilton.

Ever since his men failed to separate Zeke and Lacey twice, he decided to go it alone.

Lacey's face darkened as soon as she saw Jackson.

"You brought us the tickets?" Hana quickly asked.

"I heard that your family wants to join the Great Ceremony. So, I decided to give you some on behalf of the Hamilton family," Jackson nodded.

"Geez! Thank you very much! This is a dream come true!" exclaim Hana.

Daniel also smiled broadly, the more Jackson liked him.

However, Lacey was not happy with that. "Mom, there's no way we can accept such an expensive gift."

Because when his parents picked up the ticket, it meant they accepted Jackson as their son-in-law.

Lacey doesn't want to marry a playboy like that.

"Are you stupid? Jackson showed us his gratitude. How can we resist something like this?" hana Tegur. "Plus, Clemons is out to get us. As long as we can get into the ceremony, our standing will definitely be higher. Back then, the Clemons had to think twice before they messed with us."

"You don't have to worry about anything" Jackson quickly reassured. "Emily Clemons was just a regular employee under the Hamilton family. He's gonna have to get past me if he wants to mess with you."

Lacey tried to argue back, but Jackson stopped her. "Come, we gotta get in. The ceremony will begin soon. But. I only have three extra tickets, which means this young man can't join us."

Jackson pointed at Zeke as he spoke.

"He's just an outsider. Just let her in here" said Hannah quickly. "Lacy! Comeing! The clock is ticking!"

"You know, I thought I'd stay here. I don't feel good" lacey sighed.

"Are you sure? What if I take you to the hospital?" Jackson offers.

"It's okay. He can rest here. Come on, let's go" Hannah quickly stopped Jackson. He knew that there was no way they could change his daughter's mind.

The three of them walked towards the gate as Lacey looked at them with admiration and disappointment

He had always dreamed of participating in the Grand Ceremony and seeing the Great Marshal in person. However, the chance he had of doing that simply disappeared.

Lacey turned to look at Zeke and said, "Come, we're back."

However, Zeke shook his head. "No. We can't leave yet. In a few seconds, your parents will be denied entry to the ceremony, and they will get in trouble. I have to protect them."

"Seriously, how can you joke with such a serious face?" Lacey laughed wryly. "Whatever. It's too bad to leave now that we're here."

Lacey kept looking at her parents.

On the other hand, Jackson sighed at the Hinton family. "I don't think Lacey likes me that much."

"What's? Of course, he likes you. She just doesn't know it yet" Hannah quickly comforts. "I'll talk to him as soon as we get back."

"You don't have to worry about Zeke. That person is nothing compared to you" Daniel added. "Zeke is more like a short-term pleasure for Lacey. He'll change his mind in a few days."

"Thank you." Jackson breathed a sigh of relief.

Soon they arrived at the front gate. It was crowded with people who did not have tickets but still wanted to be part of the excitement.

There are also news outlets that broadcast the ceremony live.

Everyone passing through the gate caught the attention of everyone there because only a VVIP could get the ticket.

Hannah and Daniel followed behind Jackson as they were showered with gazes of admiration.

The gate was heavily guarded by armed security officers.

After handing over the ticket to the guards, Jackson led the old couple in. However, they were stopped.

"Wait on! It's fake!"
