Ram dropped me off in front of the cottage I was occupying when we went back to the farm, and then he went back to the inn to drop the supplies from his truck. From the way he didn't talk to me all the way home and didn't say anything when I got out of his truck, he must have thought: of all the pitiful fates, his fate must be the worst. And he must have questioned why I showed up here, of all the places? I was nothing more than a little girl when she met me before this, sixteen years old while she herself was nineteen. But now we have both grown up and reunited in the situation as ex-lovers.
Getting rid of the bad mood at this time, I was quickly preparing to ride. Until after a few minutes passed, I was ready with my riding clothes, of course complete with boots and cowboy hat on the head.
In a hurry, I went down the stairs and down the path. I couldn't think of anything worse than the trip with Ram until I had arrived at the stables and found Ram waiting there with six other guests. My eyes widened as soon as he saw it, and he must have known from my reaction that I was not there because I wanted to meet him on purpose. It's not because of that. Nope.
Feeling nervous, I tried to calm down and took a deep breath. Trying to ignore something that is happening inside me due to this unexpected thing.
Ram and one other employee had prepared the horses before I came. The horses were tied up in the fence of the stable with a lazy wagging tail. Then he nodded towards the horsemen. This riding trip is specifically intended for adults. The youngest couple is in their mid-twenties, the oldest couple is in their sixties. I'm the only one who doesn't have a partner.
"Good afternoon everyone," the man began to make a speech, making me shriek.
He really is the one who will guide this journey, my mind is soft.
"Do any of you know how to ride? There ain't? All right, it's okay, once this day is over, I'm pretty sure, you're all going to be proficient cowboys. First of all we will learn how to install the saddle. Don't worry about these horses. These are trained horses."
Ram spent a few minutes to pack a horse with his rider, leaving behind his favorite horse for me. But when he got in front of me, I shook my head. "No need," I refused. "I've decided not to ride today."
I thought he should be relieved, but not so. He asked, "Are you afraid to ride with me?"
I raised my chin and straightened my shoulders. "Of course not." Because that is my wish. "But, yes, I just thought you had met me enough in this one day. I'm afraid you'll get tired of seeing me."
"Darling," he said, his voice was so low that it could only be heard by me, "believe me, you've always never been enough for me. It will never be enough. And I'll never get bored of you."
The man's words created a sense of warmth throughout my body. Fascinated, I could only stare at him with my heart pounding wildly.
"So" he whispered affectionately, "are you going to ride this afternoon, or are you going to run away again?"
"I never...." I bite my lips. "I'll ride, Mr. Ram."
"All right, cowboys." The man nodded at me. "And cowgirl. I'll explain...."
Oh, my God, I'm fascinated....
The man deserves praise for not showing complacency. While taking the blanket and putting it on the saddle, he held it in. "This is how we put the horse saddle. Blanket first." He placed the blanket on the horseback that he chose for me. "Be sure to flatten it. A frown on the blanket will make the horse uncomfortable and may cause it to hurt."
Ram went down the line, making sure everyone put up the blankets properly, before returning to my riding horse.
"Alright, next saddle. Make sure the saddle is placed right in the middle, then tie it tight. If the horse can't stay still, you need to pat his stomach to make him calm. Otherwise, you won't be able to tie the saddle properly."
After that, he once again walked down the line, making sure all ties had been tightened properly.
"All right, let's get started. Hold the bridle, place your left leg in the stirrup and lift your body up the saddle. Hold it at the end of the saddle if necessary." He watched me as I rode on the horse. "Yes, that's right, honey." Then he whispered, "His name is Ram, and you've been riding it."
Eh? The...! I was almost overwhelmed by it.
When all the riders were on the horse's back, Ram rode on his own horse, a thin appaloosa with a short-cut mane and a thick tail. The horse does not look good, but it is the best cruising horse on the farm.
Ram looked behind his back to make sure everyone was ready. "If you want to turn left, pull the left bridle. If you want to turn right, pull the right harness. Pull both sides of the bridle at the same time if you want to stop. Don't snap the bridle. Any question?"
"Are we going to see wild animals?" the question came from a middle-aged man with a camera hanging around his neck.
Ram grimacing. "It depends on the type of wild animals, but usually we can see beautiful birds at times like this."
"Does my horse have a name?" the question came from a female couple in their mid-twenties.
Ram smile. "Dandy."
"Dandy. Thank you." Thank you." The woman smiled back.
Ram nodded. "There again?" tanyakanya. "All right, everybody ready?"
There were nods and thumbs intertwined with the exclamations "OK" and "Let's go". While glancing at me, Ram tapped his foot on Dakota and the big horse stepped up. Another cowboy, Emil Akbar, followed behind.
Path for beginner riders is easy. The path runs down a small stream for about one and a half kilometers, then arrives at a branch. The stream on the left leads into the wilderness. The stream to the right made a round that led back to the inn. About a mile in front of the branch, the trail runs uphill towards a flat ridge. Ram stopped at the summit so that other riders could see the farms and the countryside. From there, we descended the valley and rode through the meadow to a patch of forest. This is where we see many types of poultry. Squirrels are often seen along the trails. And eagles are often seen drifting along the wind.
At the top of the hill, Ram swaps positions with Emil. Being the guard behind where I was the last rider, and I guess if I didn't misjudge, he would have no power to take his gaze away from me as I felt when he was in front. As he rode leisurely on the saddle, swaying in rhythm with the movements of the horse. He sat down casually and it felt good to look at him, even from behind. That must be how he feels right now back there. Staring at me with his pair of eagle eyes.
And I was right. As soon as I deliberately looked back suddenly, the man was caught looking at me as if I were the goddess descending from the heaven.
Bingo!
He's busted!
Blushed in shame, Ram turned his face away from me. And as soon as he decided to align with me, he said, "I'm not looking at you. No GR!"
Haha! Basic boyish!
