Forbidden Love On A Full Night

Forbidden Love On A Full Night
Adaptable

We arrived in Pangandaran after a journey of almost eight hours. The trip that should have been taken within five hours less was so molested almost three hours because of a stop for several breaks plus for lunch, and a little stuck. Ram didn't want me to be hungry, exhausted, or bored on our way, so he purposely extended our lunch time a bit to rest and relax. As a result, even though we left at half-time seven, an hour earlier than the promised time, still, we arrived at Ram's hometown after two hours passed.

"We are almost there" Ram said as we entered the Kalipucang district. He looks a little agitated. I knew he felt anxious about how I would react when we arrived at our destination.

Actually, yes, not yet reached the destination, I have been agape at the condition of the road that we have to go through. A fast-moving river cleaves the path we must cross. Bojong River, there is no access other than to cross the river to get to his Uncle Ram's house.

"Ram, is this safe?" I was worried when the head of the truck started to approach the riverbank.

Ram just gave a silly grin. "It's a truck, honey. Not horse. The depth of flow of the river is at least thirty centimeters to fifty centimeters. Safe, really."

"Thank God then. I believe you."

On this trip I realized Ram often glanced at me, as if he felt that maybe a mistake was taking me to his hometown. As for me, I kept trying to remind myself: that whatever I would see and find later, it was just a part of Ram's life. That doesn't mean we'll stay somewhere -- wherever it is - other than in Lembang. I knew Ram wouldn't leave Aunt El alone on the farm.

Relax, Purna. Be as relaxed as possible even if this is a bit surprising.

I stared out the window. I'm not sure what I want to see, but not something like this. I never knew where and how Ram's hometown was, but in my imagination of Pangandaran: I imagined our destination was a beautiful village, ordinary houses and ordinary villages, around the coastal area. Not something like this.

The houses I saw were small, needed to be painted, and there were even more brick-walled and orange bricks without plaster. Many homes were without a yard, and the average roof of silver was worn out.

"Your uncle lives here?" my many.

Ram nodded. I immediately closed my lips. Nawat, I thought. Ram could tell from the tone of speech and the expression on my face that I was surprised to see the area around here, maybe as he had expected.

"The area is still prone to flooding if the rainy season. And.. sometimes still have trouble clean water and must wait for the delivery of water from outside."

I'm nodding. Be careful in maintaining attitude.

Arriving at his uncle Ram's house, I met all the members of Ram's family. There was his uncle: the elder brother of his mother, who was also the younger brother of Aunt El's late husband. Uncle Ram was a thin man with a sharp nose and friendly shining eyes. I also met Ram's friends, some of whom Ram has known since childhood. I also met Ram's cousins, as well as an aunt and grandmother: his uncle's wife and mother-in-law, who was like his own aunt and grandmother. They all smiled and greeted me kindly, although I could see the look of curiosity in their eyes.

The afternoon just passed. Ram spent time with his uncle and his male cousins, while I was left with his teenage aunt, grandmother, and cousin.

That night, after dinner, Ram invited his cousins to just take a walk to find snacks. In spirit, the teenage girl and the three young men in their twenties accepted Ram's invitation. One of the men could bring a vehicle and wanted to take the truck, and Ram was not happy to refuse. So, yeah, that's it. Me and Ram, and the others were sitting in the back, in an open tub.

That night, while waiting for the saturator to prepare our order to take home, Ram and I looked for a quiet place to be alone.

"So" said my beloved, keeping her tone neutral, wishing I didn't know how important my answer was to her, when I clearly knew it was, "what do you think?"

"I like it!" sahutku enthusiastic. "Very. I feel considered here. Not ignored. Your family is very friendly. They're being nice to me. Yeah, even though some people seem to think I'm weird."

Ah, dreadlocks. My cheeks are red. But still I did not escape realizing the importance of those words. "By the way, do you have a house here?"

"No. My mom owns a house here but it's not in use. I used to stay at my uncle's house."

"Is your mother here now?" I wonder why I haven't met that woman.

"No. He lives in Sukabumi now. I'll take you to meet him sometime. He never came to this village again."

I grinned. "Why?"

"Eitherway. I think he had a fight with my uncle years ago, but I'm not sure. I asked my mother once, but she refused to talk about it." Ram's gaze stopped on my lips. "And I don't want to talk about it either" his tone sounded raucous. While lowering his head, Ram kissed me.

Just a short kiss, but it made my chest feel tight and my breathing became irregular. I looked up, looked at Ram, wanted more, and the man obediently granted it to me. Excitedly, his lips overpowered me, and his tongue slipped in, and I loved it when his fingers explored my back, while his right hand lay on my cheek. Warm up.

Suddenly feeling my knees weak, I quickly wrapped my arms around her waist.

Ram smiled at me for being too aware of the effect his kiss had on me. "Well, since the day is late enough, we better get to bed soon."

"Where are we staying tonight?"

"We're going to stay at uncle's house" Ram said.

"Oh?" I can't hide the disappointment in my voice.

Ram nodded. "I don't trust myself to be alone with you. You got it, right? Not tonight."

"Then? When?"

Ram kissed my lips once again. "Don't be naughty!"

"How else, eight years you've always come into my dreams. Why not come in reality?"

Ram shook his head, then looked me in the eye deeply. "The full moon up there isn't perfect, honey. Wait out."

Eh? Whatdoes thatmean?
