I turned on the radio, sat down on the chair beside the window, and opened the novel I had chosen from the inn's turn, trying to read. I don't see any letters there. I saw Ram embracing a girl in his arms. Laughing with. Gone with.
Grimacing, I threw the book across the room.
And even the radio turned into treason. Does everyone want to hurt my heart? I haven't heard the song Created For Me from that Purple band in eight years. Our song. Why now? batinku sad.
I got up leaving the cottage. For a moment, I stood up worriedly, torn apart by the urge to go to Ram's cottage and see if the man was there. Nah! I'm not gonna spy on that guy. Strictly speaking, I turned in the opposite direction.
I had not gone too far when I heard Ram's voice, accompanied by a feminine laugh. Drooping behind a tree, I saw Ram and the blonde-haired girl walking towards the cottage where the servants lived.
I thrust my hand into my jeans pocket, wondering what demon possessed the man so he took the girl for a walk? Does she no longer want to dodge the hidden cues of Welly wanting her to spend the night with him?
All this time he refused the girl must not be because the girl was unattractive, only, surely because the girl was a woman who came at the wrong time. If at the right time, it would be easy for the man to be attracted to him. She is beautiful.
Ram muttered a slow curse, and I was so sure it was because he was thinking of me: wondering what I was doing? Am I walking around with the man who's supposed to be my ex-fiance? Thinking about whether that guy gave me a good-night kiss? Making plans for another wedding?
"Shoppers!" curse escaped.
Welly smiled at Ram. "You said something?"
Ram shook his head. "No."
"You seem to be daydreaming. Is something troubling your mind? You can tell me, if you want. I'm a good listener."
Ram forced a smile. "Trims, but I don't want to talk about it."
Welly pulled Ram's arm, made the man stop stepping, then walked around and stood facing Ram. "I'm a really good listener." The girl slid her palm on Ram's chest slowly and sensually. "You must know how I feel, Ram," said the girl, unbuttoning Ram's shirt, exposing the man's chest before his eyes. "I've never hidden the fact that...."
She put her red lips on her chest, the man I love so much. Make my eyes wide open, and hot!
"I love you...."
Ram silenced Welly's mouth with his palm. "Don't, Welly. Don't say anything you'll regret later."
Ram nodded.
"Is it serious?"
Ram speechless. I know his head, I can guess by a landslide. He thought about me, about how much he didn't deserve me, and how much he wanted me. Did he do the right thing by letting go of me? And his now-empty brain answered Yes, right.
"Rame?"
"No," said Ram heavily. "not serious. Not anymore."
"Well, then...." Jemari Welly went down the nape of Ram's neck. He stood on his tiptoes, looking at Ram with all his love, full of adoration. Then he closed his eyes, closing his lips to Ram's....
Oh my God, how painful my heart is. I held onto the already overcrowded chest.
But finally Ram refused, he turned his face to the point that their lips did not meet. Instead, his gaze even met my gaze. He was silent there, staring at me.
"Rame?" welly's voice drew his attention back.
Ram shook his head. "sorry. I can't."
Welly nodded in understanding, but never gave up. He grabbed Ram's arm. "alright. Come on, I'll make you a drink at my place and we can have a chat or something."
"All right," said Ram. "Why not?"
Ignoring me, Ram stepped foot while the girl was twitching tightly in her arms.
I was still standing there, my fingers stuck in the tree trunk when I saw Ram following the girl into one of the huts. And shut the door.
I stayed there for a long time, with the nerves of my feet numb. Tears are dripping down my cheeks. I could see the girl, through the window of the cottage, doing something in the kitchen. A moment later, all the lights in the cottage went out.
And all my dreams of the future went out with those lights.
