Grabbing Dreams
Chapter 82 THE ARRIVAL OF THE PARENTS

The wall clock ticked 8 times but Reino did not budge from his bed. Kanaya felt astonished because usually after dawn her husband rarely sleeps again.

To find out, Kanaya returns to the room, leaving the kitchen work unfinished.

"Mas.." call her slowly. Reino still didn't move a bit from under his blanket.

"Mas Reino didn't go to the office?" kanaya whispered near her husband's ear.

Reino squirms. His long, pliable eyelashes gnawed slowly withstanding the glare of the sun from the bedroom window.

Just woke up just so handsome you, mas.

"It'll be a little late, baby. My stomach doesn't taste good."

Kanaya sat on the edge of the bed. Reino's hand reflexes hugged Kanaya's waist spoiled.

"Sickness?" kanaya asked feeling guilty about martabak telor last night. But honestly, it wasn't intentional.

"No dear. Just a little taste." said Reino.

Poor you mas. Excuse me.

"I made ginger wedang huh? Let the glory subside."

"Can. But I'm drinking it here, aren't I, baby?"

"Yes mas. I'll do it for a while."

Reino took off his embrace and let his wife go. Her body was completely limp to just tease Kanaya as usual.

"Well, here comes the dog. Good thing yesterday had bought a lot." his own chat.

While busy struggling in the kitchen, Reino suddenly appears.

"Kok up? What's up, mas?"

"Mom just called, baby. He said this afternoon he was going to Jakarta."

Both Kanaya's eyes sparkled happily. He misses both his parents very much.

"really mas? Why haven't they told us since yesterday?"

"So I asked my mother, too, but she said she didn't want to bother us. I can get Bram to pick them up."

"It's okay, man. I like to get drunk when I get in the car. It's better if he takes the train. They have never been on a train either. Counting while refreshing. Hehe."

Reino sat on the chair while watching his wife pacing back and forth in the kitchen.

"But I feel sorry for them, baby. The journey will be long, won't it? It'll be faster if they get on the plane."

"Ck. Don't mas. Mom won't want to. I know his nature. It's been quiet. Tomorrow we'll pick them up at the station."

"alright. Oh, baby, mama's tumben didn't call? Where's our wedding reception prep going?" suddenly Reino remembered her mother's plan to hold her wedding reception. Some days there are many things that occupy his mind until he forgets the business of that one.

"Nearly done, ma'am. Ever since I found out I was pregnant, mom rarely involved me anymore. He didn't want me to get tired of thinking about it. But almost every day Mama and sister Wanda told me about her progress."

"How many days left, baby?"

"Two weeks."

"Hopefully everything is smooth." hope Reino.

"Amiinu. Let's drink the ginger first, mumpung still warm." pinta Kanaya, thrust the ginger wedang in front of her husband.

"Thank you, my love." replied Reino as she rolled one eye.

"Ih, flirt."

"You're a gemesin, baby. Moreover, your cheeks are starting to chubby, you want to nyubit."

"Ck. I'm chubby now?" tukas Kanaya pout.

Did I get fat?

"Korong dong, baby. You're pregnant again."

Kanaya did not comment again. His face turned sour. He turned his back on Reino and continued cooking for breakfast.

Wow, I think I said it wrong! Why is he so sensitive now?

...***...

"Good, mom. Nay's going to pick up mom now. Wait for Nay, ma'am."

Kanaya hangs up from her mother and calls Reino's cell phone.

"Assalamualaikum, baby." Reino said crunchy. He was always happy to hear Kanaya's voice on the phone.

"Mas, my mother is almost there. Can we go to the station now?"

"Ready, mistress. I'll pick you up now. Get ready." joked Reino inevitably made his wife curl a smile.

"Alright, mas. I'm waiting for."

.......

From a distance, Kanaya managed to see the figure of the mother who had just emerged from the passenger exit. Behind him the father is seen carrying a large bag and cardboard, assisted by his two younger siblings.

"That's them, mas." cried Kanaya impatiently. He immediately walked to his parents.

"Mother." call Kanaya at last.

"Mother. Oalah mom misses a lot." the mother and son hugged a little long, shed a tinge of longing stuck between the two.

"How are you, sir?" greet Reino kindly while embracing the body of the father-in-law.

"Alhamdulillah, good le. How about yourself?"

"I'm fine, sir. Alhamdulillahot. Let's pack my things."

Reino takes over the bag and cardboard from Kanaya's father's hand then puts it in the trunk of the car.

"Waaahh.mas Reino is a very good car" said the Kanaya sisters almost simultaneously. The two circled the car while unceasingly clucking in admiration. All those years this time they saw such a fancy car.

"If you have high school then buy a car to go to school" said Reino earnestly but was rewarded with elbow from his wife.

"Ck. Don't worry mas. They are still kids. Where is it possible to go to school by car."

"Laahhh. Why can't you? It's good to go to school by car. Kereeeen"

"Tuh.dengerin. Rightly so. There will be a lot of girls who have a crush."

"Mas! Just kidding. Ngaco you." said Kanaya glared sharply at her husband.

"It's been a storm. Let's better go." proposed the wise father end the quarrel between the son and his son-in-law.

"Let's go, please ride in front. You can see the view of Jakarta in the front seat. You don't mind, do you, honey?" invite Reino to immediately lead Kanaya's mother to sit with her in front.

"Monggo, please." replied Kanaya indifferently. A satisfied grin appeared on Reino's face. He was very happy to see Kanaya's upset face when she was angry. While the father-in-law just shook his head watching the scene.
