Chapter 21 AVOIDING

It has been a week since Kanaya collapsed in the office, but it is still a hot topic of conversation among employees of the "RR" Group, especially female employees. Many discordant voices judge Kanaya to be a selfless woman for flirting with her boss in such a cheap way. There are also those who judge her as a matre girl who tries to win the heart of her boss to get treasure. However, Kanaya closed her ears even though her heart was obviously hurt by their words.

"Look at the cheap chick, she's hoping to be a cinderella" said a coworker who was eating in the canteen that afternoon blatantly.

Kanaya ignored him. He just kept walking past them, looking for an empty table in the corner of the cafeteria. He knew the people around him were looking at him, but he tried not to be affected in the least. From behind the cafeteria table, Rita saw Kanaya enter with a lethargic face. He approached his best friend while carrying his favorite snack.

"Cocky, let's eat, Nay. Here I bring your favorite." said Rita while handing over a pack of super spicy Thai nuts.

"Thank you Rit." Kanaya takes the package from Rita's hand.

"How's your dad doing, Nay?"

"There's still no progress, Rit. I had to have heart ring surgery, my mother said. But the operating costs are expensive. I was confused how else to do it. My salary can't be enough to pay. Even though I live frugally." said Kanaya recounted her sadness.

"Prophey, Nay. God willing there is a way. You don't despair." said Rita trying to comfort her best friend.

Rita could feel the difficulty Kanaya felt. He's been friends with her for a long time. Her best friend's life is being tested by God. But he was sure Kanaya could get through it. He believes Kanaya is a strong and strong girl.

"Can join?" asked a voice behind Kanaya's back to surprise them. Both look at it almost simultaneously.

Reino occupied an empty seat in front of Kanaya without waiting for their approval. This made Kanaya stop her eating instantly. He felt that people were glaring at him seeing Reino sitting before him without the slightest awkwardness. Of course Kanaya felt uncomfortable. Now it is becoming the center of attention.

"Sorry, sir, I'll excuse you. I'm done eating." Kanaya stood up about to leave the table but her steps came to a halt when Reino suddenly held tightly to her wrist.

"Sit down." Reino's orders were firm without a care the people around looked in wonder at him.

"But, sir." protested Kanaya.

Reino looked at the two eyes of Kanaya who now looked cute. It is clear that he is having a bad day there. Realizing Reino would not let go of his hand, he decided to sit down again. Meanwhile, Rita immediately agreed to continue her work.

Kanaya just stirred the food in front of him, he had no taste in eating it at all. Reino noticed Kanaya's downcast face with a blank look.

There must be something he is thinking about, Reino said in his heart.

"Why are you avoiding me, Nay?" reino asked frankly, breaking the silence between the two. He did not care, there were several pairs of ears were installing radar in order to eavesdrop on his conversation with Kanaya.

"It's not so, sir. I feel bad about the people in the office. I'm afraid you'll be embarrassed to be near me." explained Kanaya slowly without daring to look at Reino's face.

Hmh! What right do they have to interfere in our affairs?!

"Don't listen to them!" Reino deliberately spoke in a high and firm tone in order to be heard by the people who were eavesdropping around the two of them. He did not want anyone to interfere in his personal affairs.

I'd better avoid Mr. Reino, whispered Kanaya, so I don't have to hear their rant right?

"What are you really thinking, Nay?" said Reino softly, disperse the reverie of Kanaya. The eyes of the man were so shady, as if bringing calmness to Kanaya. However, once again, the other side in his heart reminded, who Reino was and who he was. Don't get too carried away, Nay!

"I'm sorry, sir, I'd better get back to work" Kanaya said, leaving Reino, still glued to Kanaya's back, to disappear from her sight.

Don't ignore me, Nay, Reino murmured in his heart.

One afternoon at the "RR" Group.

Reino had just arrived in his room, put his briefcase and cell phone on the table and then opened his suit. He sat on the sofa leaning his head in exhaustion. These few days he pursued the deadline of several important projects outside the city. As a result, he was busy amazingly. There are many meetings with business colleagues that must be visited. This makes him rarely in the office. Even these few days he could not meet Kanaya, see her from afar he could not. Of course there was a longing tucked in his heart.

I missed you, Nay.

Shortly after, Reino fell asleep on the couch. The feeling of fatigue that peaked makes it easy to fall asleep.

At 4pm.

Kanaya walked towards Reino's room. It's been a few days that he's had his turn cleaning the president's office. However, due to Reino's busyness lately he never saw Reino in his room in the afternoon. He is grateful, so he can work quietly without feeling uncomfortable like being alone with him.

"Sir Maya, I want to clean the room Mr. Reino." said to Maya, secretary of Mr. Reino.

"Just in." said Maya gave permission.

Without knocking on the door again he went straight into the room. The position of Reino's body that was lying on the sofa and turned to the door made the girl unaware of Reino's whereabouts there. He began to sweep the floor with a vacuum.

How surprised Kanaya was when she wanted to clean up the magazine on the table near the sofa. He found Reino sleeping on the couch. The sound of a vacuum that is quite noisy does not make Reino disturbed in the slightest. He tiptoed slowly about to turn off the device so as not to wake Reino up.

"It's over?" tanya Reino suddenly woke up when Kanaya turned off her vacuum.

"Su..already, sir." he answered stammered, although in fact he was just starting.

Reino stood up and walked over to Kanaya while loosening the tie around her neck. His face looks tired. His eyes did not turn Kanaya. The girl was wary when she realized Reino was getting closer to her. He took a few steps back until his feet hit the wall.

"What do you want?!" tanyanya polo's.

Reino did not answer, instead he brought himself closer to Kanaya who was leaning against the wall until he finally hugged Kanaya's body tightly.

"I miss you, Nay." I'm honest.

Kanaya is not flinching. He stands between conscious and not. He felt like a dream, feeling the body of the man in his arms. But why does this seem so real?

"Please let me hold you like this for a second. I was tired." pinta Reino finally made Kanaya nod helplessly. He stood there, not returning the embrace, but also unable to resist it.
