Chapter 24 WORRY

Lunch time has just finished. Kanaya tidied up the rice pack she ate and threw it in the trash. He also tidied the tables and chairs to their original place. This afternoon Kanaya ate alone in her room. He rejected Reino's invitation to have lunch together outside the office for reasons of unfinished work even though it was only his essay. He avoids meetings that may arouse suspicion of those in his office. Especially the karyawati.

"Excuse me neng." said Mr. Dadang in front of the clean room door.

"Soak sir. What's up?" kanaya asked as she picked up the mop, she intended to continue her work on the 2nd floor.

"Wow, a lot of pesennya" Kanaya said in disbelief.

Reino smiled. He doesn't want to waste a chance. He happily hugged the girl back tightly to make Kanaya finally aware of her attitude just now.

"Sorry sir." said Kanaya timidly as she escaped from Reino's embrace.

Reino ruffled Kanaya's hair in a fit of anxiety.

"Let's go home. I was waiting for you to come home here."

"Oh yeah? So you've been there since?" kanaya's clear eyeballs rounded out revealing her surprised expression.

Why are you so adorable, Nay. I don't think I want to let go of my embrace.

"Sir..kok even daydream?"

"That's nothing to think about. Let's go home."

Reino clasped Kanaya's hand and took her to the car park. The atmosphere of the restaurant is getting quieter. However, without realizing it there was a pair of eyes that were watching the two of them since earlier. Yes, Bhishma observed the two from the restaurant window. There was dislike on his face.

Meanwhile, in the car, Kanaya felt exhausted to sleep. Reino pulled the seat lever so Kanaya could sleep more comfortably. Occasionally he saw Kanaya's slumbering face while driving. There was a subtle sigh that he felt in his heart.

"Nay. I've arrived." said Reino slowly so as not to surprise Kanaya.

Kanaya blinked her two eyes which still felt heavy. Today was exhausting for him.

"Nay, starting tomorrow, if you come home tonight let me pick you up. I was so worried."

Kanaya looked at Reino's face, trying to dive into the man's good intentions.

"Yes, sir. Thank ye. I'm going in first, right?" the answer is Reino.

Kanaya smiled.

"Good, sir. Uh I mean Reino. I'm not used to calling names, sir. It's not polite." Kanaya protested unkindly because after all Reino was her superior.

Reino followed Kanaya to the front of the gate.

Again Reino ruffled Kanaya's hair and soon left Kanaya's boarding house feeling happy.
