Chapter 59 DINNER INVITATION

That morning, Reino had a discussion with Bastian, the planning officer and Reino's confidant at the company. Bastian's father used to work for Reino's father during his tenure as president director.

Reino and Bastian are discussing the proposed design changes that Nina brought in yesterday.

"I think we better use the previous design, Rei. All the details I have calculated carefully. While the changes they propose are too risky given the current economic conditions that are not good" said Bastian gave advice.

"I think so too, Bas. That's why I haven't made a decision yesterday. I'd like to ask your opinion first."

Reino grabbed the phone handle on the table.

"May, please come to my room."

Before long his secretary came with a note to take notes.

"Please arrange a meeting with Nina later this afternoon. Oh, yeah Bas, you're coming too. I'll introduce you to Nina."

"Ready, boss."

"May, you're coming too."

"Good, sir."

Bastian and Maya return to their room after their discussion. While Reino began to get preoccupied with his laptop. Many incoming emails that must be checked one by one. In the middle of his life, his phone rang. There was a call coming in from the mother.

"Hello, ma."

"Reino, do you have time tonight? Mama wants to take you out to eat." the mother's voice sounded excited.

Tumben once mama took dinner outside?

"Alright, ma. Mama's gonna have dinner where I'm gonna pick her up."

"In aunt Marta's cafe. Don't forget Rei picked up mama at 7?"

"Okay, ma. See you later."

"Bye, baby."

Reino put the phone back on the table and continued his work. Some documents are waiting to be signed. He perused every file that came into his desk. This was a form of his precautionary attitude.

"Excuse me, sir. There are guests waiting downstairs. Do you want to accept it?" maya said.

"Who?"

"Sir Gunawan of the Hiro Company."

"Send him in."

*A*pa you're doing, baby? I'm sorry I'm so busy today, I can't see you in the office, Inner Reino.

While waiting for the guest to come, Reino tries to annoy Kanaya by calling her.

"Assalamualaikum, mas." There was a voice across there greeting him gently.

Why does your voice sound so sexy on the phone, baby?

Reino's mind began to wander imagining his wife in front of him now, smiling spoiledly at him.

"Hello, mas?? Are you dreaming again?" tegur Kanaya breaks her husband's wild daydream.

"Hmm.no dear. Just think a little bit."

Kanaya, who was mopping the floor, fixed the position of the headset on her ear.

"Mas, what else is it thinking?" kanaya asked a little worriedly.

"Just think about how you can be the same now. Hahaha." tease Reino happy.

Kanaya sneers. Apparently the assumption is wrong. He had thought that Reino was having problems at the office.

"Ck.mas is kidding! Kirain what's wrong." Kanaya's grumpy. He continued his work mopping the floor.

"Darling, you'll be eating out tonight. You come along, all I want to explain to mama about our marriage."

"Don't first, mas. I'm not ready yet. Give me a little more time, will you?" pinta Kanaya pleaded.

Reino took a deep breath.

"But when, baby? Don't you want people to know that you're my wife?"

Reino was twitching her forehead which suddenly felt pulsating. He didn't want to argue with Kanaya about this anymore. He chose to give up again.

"All right, sweetheart. I'll give you some more time. But I don't want to linger keeping this secret. Youunderstand?"

Kanaya smiled with relief. She feels very selfish with her attitude, but honestly she has not had the courage to meet her husband's family as a daughter-in-law.

"Mas, don't you change your clothes?" kanaya advises as soon as she gets out of the car.

Reino looked at his watch.

"Udah's almost late, baby. I'm afraid mama waited a long time. You're okay riding by yourself? Do I need to go in first?"

"Ck.mas thinks I'm a child. It's gone."

Reino asked his wife to come to the window of the car.

The cup! One lightning kiss landed on Kanaya's lips, embarrassing her instantly.

"Issh..mas does not know the place." protested as he touched his lips.

"Later on in the room" Reino said with a flirtatious smile and drove his car out of the apartment to the mother's house to pick her up.

A few moments later, at a cafe in downtown Jakarta.

Reino walked beside her mother, into a cafe that seemed a little quiet tonight.

"Marta!" call the mother to a middle-aged woman who is struggling at the cashier's desk.

"Oh Hi, Andini. Come here." the woman waved her hand.

Reino and his mother entered and took the seat as Marta had appointed.

"How are you? It's been a long time since we've met, hasn't it?" marta asked while making conversation with Reino's mother.

"This is my son, Reino, who I told you about yesterday on the phone" Reino's mother said.

Marta watched Reino from her toes to her head with a look of disbelief.

"Are you kidding, Andini? Are you sure of what you said yesterday?"

This son of yours is so handsome, how could there be no woman in love with him??

"Therefore, Marta, I ask for your help." whispered Andini as she told Marta to close her ears.

"Hello, aunt. Nice to meet you." Reino's polite.

What are you guys talking about?? Why is Mom whispering that??

"Hello, Reino. Auntie is also happy to see you again. It feels like just yesterday I saw you in your High School uniform. Take a look now. You're turning into a handsome man, baby."

"Ah, aunt could've."

"Wait a minute, Andini. My niece is still on her way. Fortunately, he had time. You know, he's busy. He has not yet returned to Batam. I persuaded him to come to the cafe."

Wait a minute, it feels like something is wrong here, whispered Reino guessed.

"Ma," Reino called slowly, "do you have any particular plans with aunt Marta?" reino half whispered.

Andini smiled.

"You take it easy, son. It's just a small meeting. For the next it's up to you." said Andini sumringah.

Damnit. Apparently mama wants to match me with aunt Marta's niece.

"Ma, I'm sorry. It's not all right ma, I've..."

"Oh, baby come here. We're here." exclaimed aunt Marta as someone appeared at the cafe door.

Reino and his mother turned at the same time towards the door. And how surprised he was when he saw who came to their table.

"Nina???!" exclaim Reino did not believe in his vision.
