Chapter 22 CONFESSION OF LOVE

Kinggg.kringgg...

The sound of the phone ringing out loud from the top of Reino's desk. Kanaya can't move. Reino's two arms locked him with a hug.

"Sir..."

"Hmmm..."

"There's a phone.."

"I knew. Let it. Give me five more minutes, Nay."

Kanaya tried to take off Reino's embrace slowly.

"Maybe it's important, sir." the objection was trying to find an excuse for Reino to let go of his embrace.

With a little annoyance Reino finally released the girl's body and then stepped closer to his desk.

"What's up, May?" reino asked flatly after the phone's handle stuck to his earpiece.

"OK, you set it up. Is there anything else?" reino asked the secretary to end the phone immediately, while her eyes were fixed on Kanaya who was walking on tiptoes about to run away from her room.

"Where are you going, Nay?"

"Sit down!"

Haduuhhh.Knowledge, Inner Kanaya.

Kanaya scratched her non-itchy head.

"Come here. Sitting here." pinta Reino after putting the phone into its original place. He walked towards the sofa and gestured for Kanaya to sit there.

"Listen to me, Nay. From now on please don't ever avoid me again, okay? I don't care what people say. All I know about my feelings for you is sincere. From the moment we first met, I fell in love with you. I'm not forcing you to believe that. But I never played with my feelings. Give me a chance to prove my point, Nay." said Reino finally saying firmly his feelings for the girl.

Kanaya tried to digest every word the man said before her. Between believe and not. It all feels like a dream. A Reino Rahardian had just expressed his feelings. Can I trust him?

"But, sir, what will the people in this office say? They must have thought I was deliberately flirting with you." explained Kanaya lirih. Still vividly imagined last week's incident when a workwoman called her a selfless woman.

"Sir, this is too fast. I feel not ready to accept. I'm afraid this is just a dream. And when I wake up, it's just an illusion that I get."

Reino knelt before Kanaya while gently grasping the girl's fingers. Their eyes also clashed. Actually Kanaya could feel Reino's sincerity while staring at the two men's eyeballs.

"I'm not forcing you to accept me now. It's just, I want to, from now on don't ever avoid me again, you understand? Let time convince your heart."

He kissed gently Kanaya's fingers to make the girl bow down embarrassed. His cheeks instantly blushed. This was his first experience. So far no man has ever expressed his love for her.

For a moment the world seemed to stop spinning, framing the moment between Reino and Kanaya that afternoon. Eliminate the distance between the two. She gently held the girl into his arms once more. Kanaya's heart was pounding uncontrollably as their bodies touched. He could feel the scent of the masculine perfume Reino was wearing on his nose.

Kanaya felt comfortable in Reino's arms for a while until a knock on the door made Reino grumble in annoyance. Kanaya smiled amusedly at Reino's childish behavior.

"Lake in!" reino said lazily, while Kanaya cleaned up her cleaning tools before leaving Reino's room.

Kanaya simply nodded her ass and then walked out of the director room immediately. I don't know why his footsteps are so light now. Could it be that he had also fallen in love with that man?

The clock shows at 6 p.m. as Reino exits his room. With a briefcase in his left hand, the man walked into the elevator to the lower floor of his office. Of course the one to go to was the cleaning room where Kanaya was.

"Night, sir. Wanna go home?" greet Mr. Dadang, office security, in front of the elevator door that just opened. Reino smiled.

"Pak Dadang see Kanaya?"

"Neng Kanaya?? It's in the back, sir. Get settled again."

"OK, thank you sir." replied Reino while patting Dadang's shoulder with his right hand. A bright smile was on Reino's face, making Mr. Dadang a little surprised.

"Eleehh..eleehhh the boss was happy again apparently." said Mr. Dadang with his thick Sundanese accent, looking at his boss' back until it passed behind the hallway.

Meanwhile, Kanaya was washing her hands in the sink when Reino unexpectedly suddenly appeared in the cleaning room.

"Sir, Reino! Just be surprised!" peekik Kanaya was really surprised to see Reino's sudden arrival.

Kanaya looked out the door afraid that anyone would see the two of them together.

"Why did you come here?" kanaya asked nervously.

"You take you home. What else do you want, Nay..?"

"But, sir, someone will see. I'm not good."

"There's no one. Just Mr. Dadang in front." said Reino trying to convince.

Kanaya immediately picked up the bag in her locker and walked after Reino. They both walked towards the front door. As soon as he saw the boss from a distance, Reino's personal driver opened the car door immediately.

"Come in." pinta Reino as she gently pushed Kanaya's body which was still pecking near the car door.

After the two entered, the driver closed the door. He nodded as Reino gestured for the car to be driven.

"We're taking Miss Kanaya first" Reino said.

"Okay, sir." he answered obediently.

The car slowly split the night. Reino and Kanaya were sitting side by side in the back seat . Both of them were both silent, immersed in their respective thoughts.

Occasionally Reino stared at the awkward looking Kanaya who was nearby.

"Why do you see me like that?" kanaya said grogi, he turned his eyes outside the car window.

"It's okay, Nay. Tonight I was happy." replied Reino straightforwardly as he grabbed the girl's fingers in his grasp.

*Oh my God,*Is this a dream? ask Kanaya's heart as if she doesn't believe it.
