Chapter 65 FAMILY MEETING
Finally the news of Reino and Kanaya's marriage reached Andini's ears. The middle-aged woman was shocked after getting word from her confidant in Reino's company.
"Papa, have you heard that news?!" exclaimed Andini was in a hurry to find her husband in the family reading room. Mr. Rahardian who was reading the morning newspaper spontaneously looked at his wife.
"What news, ma? Why are you making a fuss so early in the morning?" reprimand the husband while folding unfinished newspapers he read.
"Papa.your child is. He's building an office!" with fiery Andini speaking.
Mr. Rahardian scrunched his forehead.
"Who?? Reino??"
"Yes, pa! Reino!"
"What's up with, Reino? Speak clearly, ma."
Andini sat in a rattan chair next to her husband, taking a deep breath before starting to tell stories.
"Reino, dad. Turns out she's married without telling us."
"What?? Did ya?? Ah how is it possible, ma."
"Ck.papa doesn't believe it anyway. This news is from your confidant."
"Why should he hide his marriage from us, ma?"
"I don't know either, Pa. That's why papa called him now. Tell me to come here soon."
Mr. Rahardian took his cell phone off the table and called his son.
Reino's phone rang when the man was driving on his way home from Mang Ujang meatballs. He immediately answered the call.
"Hello, pa." said Reino.
Reino momentarily listened to his father talking on the other end of the phone.
"Yes, pa. I-i understand. I'm sorry. I'm going to my dad's house with my wife. I'll tell you everything."
Reino ended the call. He quickly drives the car to get home and tells Kanaya to get ready for the night. Whatever happens, he will always be there for Kanaya.

At exactly 7pm Reino and Kanaya arrived at the Rahardian family residence. European-style luxury homes with towering pillars greet them in the front yard. Reino got out of the car followed by his wife.
"Are you ready, baby?" ask Reino to make sure.
Kanaya took a deep breath in order to dampen the pounding of her heart that was getting firmer.
"I'm ready, mas." replied Kanaya in a slightly quivering voice.
"Don't worry about anything, honey. I'm with you." said Reino encouragingly.
The two of them slowly entered the mansion. The tense atmosphere was felt when the two reached the living room. All the family members were gathered there and looked very surprised to see Reino coming with Kanaya.
"Mama, isn't that Kanaya's sister?" whiskey Secilia pleased.
Wanda and Andini throw one another a glance.
Isn't that Reino's housekeeper?? inner Andini and Wanda almost simultaneously.
"Assalamualaikum." said Kanaya nervously.
"Wa'alaikumsalam's chat. Come sit down, son." ask Mr. Rahardian kindly.
Kanaya approaches, kissing the backs of Rahardian and Andini's hands alternately before sitting at Reino's side on a long sofa in front of them.
"Ma, pa, introduce this to Kanaya, Reino's wife." Reino confidently finally introduced Kanaya to all members of his family.
"That means Kanaya's sister is my aunt, ma?" his speech was plainly answered by a nod to Wanda's head.
"Reino, try to explain everything now. Actually what happened. Why are you hiding something this important from us?" ask sir Rahardian wisely. He did not want to judge his son.
Andini looked impatiently waiting for Reino's answer.
"I'm sorry, Reino, pa. This all happened so quickly, outside of our plans. It all started when Kanaya came back to her hometown to see her ailing father." Reino began to tell her everything that happened there from beginning to end.
Kanaya lowered her head, not daring to look them all in the eye. Reino gave strength to his wife by clasping her fingers tightly while telling stories.
O Allah, may they accept my presence here, whispered Kanaya worried.
"So that's the story. You should have been honest with us from the beginning so that there is no misunderstanding like now." Andini finally spoke up.
"Your mother's right. Marriage is a very sacred event. Papa felt disappointed not to be able to accompany you at that moment."
"I'm sorry, pa. It all happened so fast. Isn't that right, baby?" tanya Reino turned to Kanaya at a glance. Kanaya nodded slowly.
"Well, mom and dad will forgive you but on one condition" Andini said making Kanaya and Reino look at each other full of question marks.
"What terms, ma?" reino asked in curiosity.
"Mama's going to have a big party for your wedding reception, how? You guys want to, right?" andini passionately expressed her desire.
Kanaya and Reino smiled in relief at hearing that. Finally the worry in their hearts disappeared instantly. Kanaya did not expect Reino's parents to be so easy to give his blessing and did not question his origin.
"Of course we want to, ma." replied Reino feeling happy.
"Thank you, baby. Mama finally saw you get married. You know that this mama is no longer young." Andini said as she got up and hugged Reino tightly. There was a tear in his eye.
"Come, kid. Call me mama now. You two are so good at acting and tricking mama." Andini exclaimed at Kanaya and hugged her too.
"I'm sorry, Nay, ma."
Cecilia and Wanda came closer, congratulating the two.
"Congratulations, Rei, Nay. May you two always be happy." said Wanda sincerely.
"Something's happy about Nay being Sesil's aunt now. Ma, Sesil can ya often play to the house om."
"Yes, may, dear." said Kanaya welcomed a warm embrace from Caecilia.
That night happiness was enveloping the Rahardian family because of the increase of new members in their family. Kanaya unceasingly thanked God for giving her that happiness.
"Thank you, ma'am." Kanaya said sincerely to Reino as the two of them were on Reino's balcony. Tonight they decided to stay at Andini's house.
"For what, baby?"
Kanaya faced her husband. He saw Reino's face fixed.
Am I dreaming right now? inner Kanaya.
"Why see me like that, baby?" tanya Reino approached then grabbed his wife's waist.
Kanaya did not answer. She cupped her hands together on her husband's face while looking at him gently.
"Thank you for all the happiness I feel tonight" Kanaya replied.
Reino kissed his wife's fingers gently.
"Yes, baby."
The two hugged each other tightly for the sake of spilling all the mixed feelings tonight. Kanaya can breathe a sigh of relief now. From this moment on, he had officially become part of the entire Reino family.
