Chapter 14 WORK AGAIN

A week has passed since the holiday to Bali that time, Kanaya and her friends have returned to their daily work routines. Kanaya was mopping the lobby floor that morning when a woman came to the reception desk and inquired about the president's whereabouts. He knew the woman well. Jessica. What the hell is he doing here?

"Sorry ma'am, Mr. Reino hasn't arrived yet" Cindy said.

"It's almost jm 9. The time has not come? Don't lie to you." he snapped rudely.

"Yes, mom. He has not yet come. There might be a meeting outside."

"Heh, don't call me mother. I am indeed your mother. Call me MISS." Jessica started acting colloquial.

For the sake of work that is very dear to him, Kanaya is reluctant to interfere in the affairs of others even though her ears have been hot since hearing Cindy being snapped at arbitrarily by the woman.

"He is Jessica. The daughter of one of the family hotel manager Pak Reino in Bali. He has had a crush on Reino for a long time but he has not been praised at all. What kind of girl does he want, Reino? Disgusted by it." Cindy at length describes the figure of Jessica whom Kanaya has not known.

"Good morning, sir." Kanaya also greeted the boss.

Reino came with his maximum good looks. The black expensive suit is combined with a maroon-red tie. How fascinating. Her hair came back neatly oiled and combed back making her look even more masculine. How different his appearance during the holidays yesterday who only wear casual clothes only. Even his slightly curly hair was left just like that. But no matter how Reino's appearance is clearly impossible to change one fact, he is still handsome. In the secretary's room, Jessica sat waiting for Reino. He acted as if he was Reino's lover who could come to visit at any time. The woman's attitude fed Maya up. She firmly does not allow Jessica into Reino's room before the boss comes.

"Good morning, Mr. Reino." welcome Maya, his secretary as soon as Reino shows up.

"There's a guest sir." he continued to code eye glances while he was a manyun, pointing at Jessica's direction at the boss.

"What's early in the morning? Didn't you say you wanted to stay in Bali for a long time?"

"Ga so. I want to go to Jakarta again. Want to see you." he replied in a voice made as pompous as possible hoping Reino would be tempted. He went to approach the man, but unfortunately he did not seem interested at all.

"Sorry Jess. I was busy today, meeting a lot. So you better go home. May, please take Jessica forward." firmly Reino kicked Jessica out of Maya's room.

But Jessica did not budge when Maya asked him to come out subtly. He rushed towards Reino and hugged her.

"Jessica! You've crossed the line." Reino took off Jessica's embrace violently. He quickly enters her room, leaving Jessica outside with Maya. He doesn't want to deal with her. He grabbed the phone at his desk.

"Good, sir. I understand." answered Maya. He immediately contacted the security to evict Jessica from his room because he did not want to leave.

Jessica angry. His face was red was treated that way by Reino. But it is certainly not Jessica's nature if she just gives up. He is determined to get Reino's heart at all costs.

"You need to call the security guard, I can also do it myself!" gerrutu annoyed.

"Take my words well! If I were already a lady. Reino, you're the first person I've removed from this company. Know you!!"

Reino had just finished a meeting on the 4th floor when it was late afternoon. He sat down in his work chair. Today was exhausting. The holiday a week ago left a heaping job. He had to reschedule some meetings that were still pending.

Reino grabbed a cellphone from his desk drawer. On a whim he opened a photo gallery and saw photos of the holiday\-photos yesterday. His eyes stopped on a photo. Yup, a picture of Kanaya sleeping on the bus. He deliberately took his picture without permission.

\*He's so sweet, inner Reino is anxious. What is he doing now\*? Reino opens the chat app.

Reino: What's up, Nay?

Soon the message was answered.

Kanaya: Beres-beres meeting room, sir. 🙂

Reino smiled. He immediately cleaned his desk, then left the room. He looked for Kanaya in the meeting room, and sure enough, the girl was sweeping the floor by herself.

"Only alone, Nay?"

"Eh sir Reino. Yes sir himself. There was a friend but went home first. There needs to be a sudden sir. His son is sick."

Kanaya told me while still sweeping the floor. He did not feel that Reino was watching him work.

"Sir why is he still in the office?" ask Kanaya.

"Wait for you." Reino answered. He himself was astonished by his words just now. Like lethargy. But he did not correct his words.

Kanaya. He didn't hear Reino's words just now. But clearly, the word\\-word Reino had made his heart beat back irregularly. He stared at the floor he was holding\-sticky, not daring to look at the man\-man.

"I'll drive you home?" added again. This time Kanaya looked at him.

"Ga, sir. I've made an appointment with my subscription taxi driver sir." refused to lie.

"Oh that. Alright. I go first." said Reino a little disappointed because he really wanted to go home with him.

For some reason since returning home from vacation Reino often thinks of Kanaya. The shadow of their togetherness could not be lost from his mind for an instant. \*Maybe I'm in love? ask Reino in heart\*.
