Chapter 72 THE HAPPY NEWS

As promised to Reino, Andini immediately rolled towards her son's apartment even though the night was getting late. With the driver on board, he and Rahardian decide to stay at Reino's house.

"Mama? Papa's? Tumben's here tonight?" kanaya asked as soon as she opened the door.

"Tonight we will stay here. Reino says you're sick but you don't want to be checked by a doctor." Andini scolded with furrowed eyebrows.

Duh, Reino's all there is. Just getting in the wind like this to trouble the old man.

"Sorry, Nay, ma. Nay's okay, just catching a cold." kanaya tried to convince Andini.

"Oh, you don't be reckless. Have you eaten?"

"After all. Nay's been taking medicine."

Andini put her bag on the table and approached Kanaya. With the back of his hand, he examined Kanaya's forehead.

"You're not hot, Nay. But your face is pale. Is it still dizzy?"

Kanaya shakes.

"Not dizzy, ma. Just got nauseous. But after Nay eats the fruit in the fridge, Nay's stomach is so good."

"Nausea? Is there something you're spewing?" ask Andini in more detail.

"Nothing, ma. Just water only. It's bitter."

Lest my daughter-in-law is pregnant, your inner self is happy.

"Nay, when was the last time you had your period?" todong Andini frankly.

A period? When yes?

"Nay, forgot ma. But it looks like last month Nay hasn't had her period." I'm honest.

"Good-grandson? Mean mama?" ask Kanaya plain.

"Oh, you're Nay. You are pregnant, baby. Tomorrow morning join mom to Wanda's doctor. You should be checked immediately."

After bidding farewell to Andini and Rahardian, Kanaya returned to the room while continuing to think about the words of the mother-in-law earlier.

Am I really pregnant? I'm pregnant with Reino's child? Oh my God, may this be true.

After waiting for a few minutes, Kanaya was finally called into a room accompanied by Andini. The two waited for Syifa's doctor at her desk.

"Good morning, aunt." a hijab girl the age of Wanda.

"August, baby. This is aunt's daughter-in-law, Reino's wife."

"Oh, huh? I'm dr. Syifa."

"Syifa, check on my daughter-in-law. It looks like she's pregnant."

"really? Then lie there, let's start the examination."

Patiently and painstakingly, Andini accompanied Kanaya during the examination. He seemed impatient to wait for the result.

"How, honey?" andini asked without further ado as soon as she saw Syifa's doctor return.

"Congratulations, aunt. Soon the aunt will have another grandchild."

"Alhamdulillah. Nay, you're pregnant baby!" pekik Andini happy. He hugged Kanaya tightly. Doesn't feel a clear circle flowing in the corner of his old eye.

"Nay pregnant, ma? Really doctor?" kanaya asked not to believe her hearing.

Doctor Syifa smiled then nodded confidently.

"You're 2 months pregnant. In this first trimester you must be careful to keep the fetus in your womb because at this age the condition of the fetus is still weak. You must eat with balanced nutrition and multiply rest. Reduce the activities that take up energy and mind huh?" syifa's doctor explained.

"Good, doc. Thank you for the advice." said Kanaya happily.

"We'll say goodbye, baby. Thank you for your time." said Andini before leaving Syifa's doctor's room.

Andini and Kanaya soon return home to tell Rahardian about this happy news.

"Ma, please don't tell Reino first huh? Nay wants a surprise after Reino from Batam later." pinta Kanaya to Andini when both are on the way home.

"Of course, honey. He must be happy to hear this news."

Go home quickly, mom. I can't wait to tell you.

Meanwhile in the city of Batam...

Reino and Nina were visiting the project site accompanied by some office staff. The two of them were busy touring the entire site reviewing the readiness for the construction of the cooperation project.

"All is ready, Rei. The construction process will not pass the deadline that we have agreed to." explained Nina as the two walked towards the car park. They'll both be back at the hotel soon.

"I hope so too. I don't want to waste time."

"Oh, yes, Rei. Before returning to Jakarta tomorrow, how about tonight we have dinner outside? Didn't you promise me?" take Nina a little sulking.

Reino refused to leave. His mind was on the wife at home because all day he was so busy that he did not have time to contact Kanaya to ask her how she was. But he also felt unbearable if he had to reject Nina's invitation for the second time.

"Alright, Nin, but we're back at the hotel first." pinta Reino.

Good, here's my chance.

"I'll book a place, Rei."

"As far as you go, Nin."

Nina looks busy with her phone, looking for a restaurant for dinner while Reino is enjoying a beautiful afternoon view outside her car glass.
