Chapter 20 REINO HONESTY

Reino immediately contacted Rita as soon as Daniel left her room, asking her to bring him some food and a glass of warm tea for Kanaya. He explained the situation of his friend who had not yet awakened.

With quick steps, Rita walked down the office corridor towards the elevator. He brought food and drinks for Kanaya and Pak Reino. After arriving at Reino's room, he knocked on the door slowly.

"Lake in!" reino from within.

Rita went inside but found no one there. He was looking for his boss. The feeling was the voice of Mr. Reino, Rita's inner wonder. Not yet had he called out Reino's name once again, suddenly a door behind Reino's work chair opened. Reino stood there stalling a smile seeing Rita bewildered looking for him. He forgot, not just anyone who knew if there was a special room in Reino's office for him to rest.

"This is the food."

"Bring in here." Pinta Reino told Rita to come in.

Rita was aghast at the state of Kanaya who was lying weakly. He walked up to the bed and sat on the edge. At the touch of Kanaya's forehead that felt hot in her palm.

"Nay.." call him while holding Kanaya's hand.

Vaguely Kanaya hears her name being called by Rita. He tried to open his eyes slowly. However, his head felt dizzy. His mouth feels bitter. He looked around the room but felt unfamiliar with the place.

"Where is this, Rit?" ask Kanaya slowly.

"In Mr. Reino's room, Nay." Rita explained. Reino approached Kanaya on the other side of the bed.

Kanaya looks so tired. Lips pale. Reino suppressed his urge to grab Kanaya's shoulder and rested the girl's head on her shoulder.

"Rit, please bring the tea here." Pinta Reino.

Rita offered the tea to Reino. He painstakingly helps Kanaya drink. After sipping a few times Kanaya gestured for Reino to put down the tea.

Rita smiled looking at that scene in front of her. Both look like lovers. Reino's gentle attitude and concern for Kanaya further makes Rita sure that her boss has fallen in love with her best friend.

"I'll excuse you, sir. Poor Mbak Dewi alone in the canteen." said Rita looking for an excuse to leave them both.

"I went along, Rit. "said Kanaya suddenly tried to get out of bed but firmly Reino grabbed the girl's hand.

"You can't go anywhere. You are sick. Rest here." said Reino did not want to be denied.

Kanaya looked at Rita begging her to stay there with her. He felt bad about being alone with Reino. Although in this state of pain, he felt his heartbeat begin to uncontrollably rhythm. Moreover, his hand was still in Reino's grasp. That made him feel even more wrong.

Rita passed away leaving Reino's room with an ornate smile on her face. He is also happy if Reino really likes his best friend Kanaya. Kanaya's a good girl. He deserves a man as good as Reino. In his heart he prayed that God would bring them together.

Kanaya just woke up from her sleep. Glancing at the clock beside the bed, already showing at 3 pm. Apparently he fell asleep long enough after taking the medicine Reino had given earlier. He feels a little better. His head was no longer dizzy. The fever has also gone down. Only one he felt now, his stomach was hungry. He could hear the worms in his stomach starting to kick.

"Where is Mr Reino?" mumbling slowly.

Kanaya gets out of bed, looking for Reino in her room to say goodbye. He wants to get back to his place. Now friends\-friends in his room must be excited to talk about him who fell unconscious and helped by the boss of the "RR" Group. Instead of being happy to get the attention of Reino, Kanaya shuddered in horror now. He believes there are many women in the office who will pout him as a seductive woman who tries to attract the attention of her superiors only. *Hadeeehh... Die you Kanaya! said in hati*.

"Awake? Come here." pinta Reino as soon as she saw Kanaya open the door of the room.

For some reason, as soon as he saw Reino, he forgot that he wanted to say goodbye to his room. Instead of saying goodbye, he instead approached Reino who called out to him. Reino stops his job checking some files on the computer then stands in front of Kanaya.

"Easy?" sapanya while checking Kanaya's forehead.

"Yes, sir. I'm not dizzy anymore." he replied.

Reino grabbed Kanaya's hand and brought the girl to sit on the sofa. He tucked Kanaya's hair slightly on her cheek.

"Are you okay?" reino asked as she looked at Kanaya.

"I've been out, sir."

"The doctor said you're too tired, Nay." he added.

"Maybe you better stop working at that restaurant" Reino said hesitantly. When he saw the change in Kanaya's facial expression then he realized he shouldn't have said it.

"I'm fine, sir. I couldn't stop working there. My family still needs a lot of money and I can still work for them" he said. Tears trickled back from Kanaya's eyes.

"alright. I'm sorry, Nay. I'm just worried about your health. I don't want to see you exhausted from working." - Reino's timps as she wiped Kanaya's tears with her fingers.

Kanaya looked at the face of the man\man in front of her. *Why are you so attentive? Please don't make me misunderstand this good manners, inner Kanaya*.

"I'll excuse you, sir. Thank you for taking good care of me today."

"Wait, Nay. Please don't misunderstand me. I have no intention of interfering in your personal affairs. But honestly I don't want to see you get sick from working too hard. If you'll let me help you."

Kanaya's steps stopped because of Reino's words just now. This was the reason Kanaya did not want to share her life story with anyone. He does not want to be pitied. And Reino's attitude just showed that the man\man must be empathetic to the fate of his disadvantaged family. It's not like Rita said, if Reino loves her. Love and compassion are two very different things.

"No, sir. Thank ye. I will try to do it myself." replied Kanaya trying to maintain her pride.

The girl stepped out leaving Reino alone in her room. He regretted his words. Kanaya is a strong-minded girl who does not want to trouble others. Supposedly, he respected Kanaya's principle of life even though he sincerely wanted to help the girl who had succeeded in seizing his heart.

I'm sorry, Nay, I regret it in my heart.
