"And I'm a good swimmer, baby. Who will hold you when you float."
Yeri's frown strengthened due to the loud and quick knock on her door, and she tried to calm down and neutralize the look on her face before she opened the front door. In his mind, he was aware that no friend might know where he lived; he was very secretive, so it was definitely one of his parents' friends. He pondered whether he wanted to yell at them to calm down or not to do so. He didn't want to be considered 'rough'. But knocking on people's doors so hard should be an actual rude act, rather disrespectful.
"I'm coming! Good Lord! Stop knocking! " The beats are just getting louder and faster, "Is there an earphone in your ear?" Yeri.
Yeri closed the door with a loud jolt, her face flushed red as her anger burned the heat on her body. However, he was surprised to see Suho's radiant face behind the door, not showing the slightest regret on his face as he woke Yeri up excitedly. What surprised Yeri more than the silly smile on Suho's handsome face, was his true existence. If there was anything Yeri knew at the moment, it was her secrecy. People rarely know what he is like personally, and even less often know where he lives. He never told Suho where he lived. So why is he here? Yeri.
It's like a dog's reaction to the danger that's set on its owner when Yeri pulls Suho's shirt and pulls him into the house. She was not a strong girl, but it was the overflowing anger that prompted her to pull Suho in. Ignoring Suho's loud cry, he closed the door behind them. For a few seconds, he stared at the door with wide panicked eyes; but he tried to tell himself that he was just exaggerating. He regained his composure sooner than he expected, but perhaps he had not completely calmed down, as he turned towards Suho, ignored his jolt, and exclaimed.
"What are you doing here?"
Soon, Suho confirmed, for whatever reason, Yeri did not know. Suho looked a bit stupid now. She grinned again at Yeri, her cheeks puffing up like a cute rabbit. It calmed the small fire that enveloped Yeri earlier.
"I'm here to see you, obviously." Suho told him, spontaneously clamping his fingers and swinging his heels as if he could not hold back his energy. Yeri raised her eyebrows towards Suho, instantly catching on to what Suho really wanted from her. Not seeing Yeri, that's for sure.
"I've said no, Suho," Yeri walked further into her house, hoping to escape, and Suho quickly followed her with a loud whimper, "No means no. I understand that you have never heard the word before but believe me, it is in my dictionary and many people use it. I can also google it just in case. "
Yeri could confidently feel the man rolling his eyes at her from behind his back, but she ignored him and walked away to fetch a cup of cold water. Yeri is usually not a girl who likes to get up early and she hates just drinking water without eating anything. But Yeri will do anything to ease this emotion that quickly builds up inside her. He didn't want to end up yelling at Suho again, not when he knew Suho's true intentions.
"Come," Suho spread his words like a child, pouting. He shot a sharp look at Yeri, "It's not like I'm going to kill you or anything like that. It was just a blind date, and with a friend I knew! "
"A blind date can really kill you, you idiot." Yeri answers naturally, or tries to sound as natural as possible. He downed his glass of iced water in one gulp, hoping that he would get enough time to calm his full hopes. "Do you know the number of sociopaths who end up on blind dates, and suddenly the only thing we hear on TV is how the police find the mutilated remains of corpses in the trash. That won't be my future, thank you very much. "
Yeri knows she is exaggerating but if there is one thing she hates - and because she sucks - it is dating. Not just a blind date, but all sorts of dates. She is not a person who is fun enough, or strong enough, to date; and she always says things she shouldn't say, which ends up scaring her date away. Now, he had been telling this to Suho for three days, and Yeri would expect him to understand it blatantly, Yeri had given Suho a reminder that Suho was the oldest, and that Suho was the oldest, and it was supposed to be an adult, but the reality was not like that, talking to Suho was just like talking to a rock that would never be able to move.
"I said he was my friend," Suho rolled his eyes again. "I know him, and I trust him. He's a great guy, and I'm sure you'll like him. "
Suho gave her a long and burdensome look, hoping to keep Suho away from this bad and terrible decision, but he looked back, his eyes widened and dodged. Yeri knew she would not be able to convince Suho in the usual old fashioned way - which included acting like a young girl who was afraid of persecution - and she decided to choose the more difficult path.
"Suho, no."
"Why not?" Suho quickly embraced it, the fur coat that Suho was wearing looked extremely ridiculous, let alone with the thirty degrees of temperature out there. "When was the last time you hung out with someone other than me and my friends? You're not getting any younger, you know that. So you have to be willing to meet a lot of people and be more passionate about it. "
Yeri gave him a piercing and judgmental look that was as hot as the weather outside and wished he could punch Suho in the face or something.
"A excited crowd? Really true? For me?" Yeri let out a long, agonizing breath, "I guess you haven't noticed the last month we spent together."
"Yes, already," Suho rolled his eyes again, and Yeri already felt his head throbbing pain and he was not the one who moved his eyes too excessively. "And what I've concluded is that you're an introvert. You hate Jeon Jungkook. You'd rather stay home until it's rotting than go out, and you'd just react weirdly when you know I'm standing in front of your house. "
Yeri was a little surprised that Suho had noticed her, and Yeri hoped that it would not appear on her face. However, his hopes went to an unsupportive drain, when Suho looked at him with an understanding gaze. Yeri released a loud groan and dragged her arm to the chest.
"I'm not just an introvert, Suho, I'm a super awkward turtle with the attention span of a rhino and I have severe social anxiety" Yeri said, and also he hates himself; he knew it was an irreversible truth, "It's not just introvert syndrome. This is a very introverted syndrome. I refuse to feel worthless about it, which is certain it will get me through my future, because the man is a social butterfly who doesn't understand why people should hide behind their hoodies. Plus, "Yeri gulped, knowing that what she was about to say could easily be used against her," Don't bring Jeon Jungkook here. "
"First of all, wow, you're a judgmental person." Suho gave her a polite look just like his tone, "My friend is not what you described. Second, Jeon Jungkook is also going on a blind date. "
Yeri blinked, surprised, "He?"
"Yes," Yeri did not understand why she sounded so satisfied with what Suho said next, "Jungkook has been a wise hormonal foundation student the last few years and I'm sure I can drag him out of between the walls he's built inside of him. My God, you two are so similar sometimes. "
Yeri tried to cover the reddish color that perched on her cheeks due to Suho's words with her hands, hoping that the reddish color was quite blurry, "Jungkook and I were like white and black. What similarities are you talking about? "
"You're just pretending to be different," once again, Suho looked at her with an understanding look, and Yeri wondered if her act of pretense was not as well covered as he thought, "I know you two will be best friends if one of you takes down the little ego you have."
Yeri is reluctant to admit that Suho is right, because of men, whether they both have the same ego. But then again, Yeri had no idea where their ego came from. Suho can act as if he knows everything about them, and they are as transparent as the two naked humans to Suho, but Suho doesn't really know anything about them.
"Sometimes I wonder what kind of chemicals are spinning around inside your head." Yeri turned around to go further into her house to hide from Suho.
Suho's face was very glowing, "So, you want to go?"
.
Agreeing to go with her to that blind date, Yeri gets very dizzy and remembers that it was a very bad idea, which is a very bad idea, not because Yeri suspects the worst (ie him) but because he has to act completely different from his real self to captivate the hearts of Suho's friends. If there was something that Yeri hated, it was insincere people, and it was the only thing she was good at doing over the past few months. Yeri is also a naturally detached (unbiased) person, and people do not forgive people who are hard to reach; especially when they are women. If he wants to be on Suho's good side, then he should be open, pleasant, happy, and radiant.
Everything that is not him.
Yeri drags her feet violently to the floor as Suho drags her towards the gathered boys, who are about to have a 'date' with her, and she prays that Suho's terrifying strength will drain quickly, she said, so that it can fall to the ground gently like seaweed. Unfortunately, Suho was stronger than Yeri, so Suho managed to attach him beside Jungkook and Sehun in front of the cafe.
Yeri stood up straight after Suho pushed her towards Jungkook and Sehun, while letting out an exaggerated breath from her lips and clearing away the dust that was not actually in her new leather jacket. Yeri fixes her own short skirt - forced to be worn by Suho - which rises to show part of her thigh due to her reckless commotion with Suho, and then sweeps Suho's scent off her pink shirt, which is her scent, as if it could do. From between the two boys, Yeri tried hard to ignore Jungkook's eyes. However, Yeri was unable to ignore her presence as well, not when Jungkook spoke to her.
"Wow, you're dressed nice."
Yeri gave him a small look, only because Yeri caught the tone of coercion in Baekhyun's speech. Baekhyun looked back at her, his eyes a little too open, and a little too expressive. As Baekhyun glared at him, Yeri's previous thoughts of him becoming confused flew away. Like Yeri, Jungkook wore nice jeans, and a long-sleeved white shirt, showing his broad, nice shoulders. Yeri wonders if Jungkook has been forced into his clothes as well because God knows Jungkook hates the four-inch heel he wears.
Yeri looked away, returning to Suho indifferently like a saint, "So are you."
"You really went on this blind date?" Jungkook asked again, sounding somewhat flabbergasted. Yeri flabbergasted herself, but for a completely different reason. Why does Jungkook talk to him so much?
Yeri glared at him again; then quickly threw away her face. "Didn't that?"
Yeri was not sure what he said was wrong, but it prompted the dark expression of the natural-skinned boy. Yeri was used to the expression that appeared on Jungkook's face now, but Yeri could never get used to how everything he said provoked such a reaction to others. Looks like he blacklisted it or something. Whatever he said, did, or even thought, would give rise to a bad expression from Jungkook.
"I don't think you're dating." Jungkook said, his tone was as hard as the big boxes covering his face.
Part of Yeri was not surprised by Jungkook's words, which had become a sentence she had heard quite often before. But Yeri was a little, well, blown away, at the idea that came up (actually she remembered) when Jungkook said that. With a small and indistinct voice, Yeri muttered.
"I'm not."
Suho came back from where he had left earlier and went inside the cafe, holding a bundle of paper boxes in his hand and the others he placed in his hand, smiling broadly at them. Suho clapped his hands, or more like slapping an open palm over his fist, so that he could catch their attention. They all looked at him with ghost-like facial expressions; sehun revealed an expression that was very difficult to explain.
"Okay friend!" Suho cheered, and Yeri heard Jungkook pressing a growl from between his lips. Yeri pursed her lips to hold back the laughter. "You are some of the most awkward****** so I have to pair you with some amazing!"
Yeri, Jungkook and Sehun complained simultaneously. Yeri was not sure if it was due to annoyance or annoyance. Maybe both.
"Shush, shush!" Suho clapped once more, this time to make them quiet. "No complaining, no growling, and no frowning!" you will act and become the best version of yourself. I don't want to see your eyes twisting, and there's no grin, you hear me? " Everyone looked at Suho, horrified, wondering inwardly if Suho was a sergeant in his previous life. "Yeri, make sure you show off your eyes and those cute lips. Showing a little cleavage would be amazing! Please don't start raving about shit about you all the time. Just one piece of information to make you sound smart, but it doesn't get to the point where you obsess. "
Yeri wanted to be offended; she actually did. He wanted to open his mouth to say something, but Suho hurriedly moved to the next victim.
"Shun, please, for God's sake, don't call them crummy just because they prefer things you don't like, like apples on strawberries, for example, and don't fight their word with yours just because it's funny to see them flustered." Jungkook.
While Sehun looked annoyed, Jungkook looked horrified. Suho narrowed his eyes at them, while remaining silent for a moment as if gathering his thoughts on how much offense he could aim at the next speech.
"Don't look at their physical bodies," Suho began, slowly. "They are people with thought processes and feelings that should be respected. They are not machines that cannot be hurt. Don't be as smart as you think you are because you're not that smart either, basically you now just sound stupid. Praise them with at least one of the charms they have and remember to smile. " Suho pointed her fingers at Jungkook, while smiling widely and insincerely at him. "Smile, Jungkook, smile."
Jungkook won't let this happen. He mumbled empty. "You repeat it like I never smile."
"Most likely because you didn't?" Suho lazily put an arm on his hip. "Loose that broad shoulder, son. Show them, and Sehun, "Suho barked, suddenly, and Sehun, who had taken a few steps back in Suho's chronic period, stiffened, stiffened, turn slowly towards the older one with wide, panicked eyes. Suho floated his angry eyes towards the youngest. "Where do you think you're going?"
"I thought I could sneak out after you fell asleep with some boring shit, like you said?" Sehun blinked his eyes innocently. "Didn't they bore you?"
"I'm really thinking of canceling your date, Sehun." Suho threatened, his eyes resembling that of an angry person.
Sehun's plain face grew bright. "Thul? That would be so awesome! "
"Back here, you little boy!"
While the two are chasing each other, with Suho grumbling into Sehun's ears; jungkook leaning towards Yeri in an attitude that Jungkook finds unfavorable, and when he whispers, Jungkook leans in, his breath flowed down on Yeri like a warm, fallen pillar. Yeri tried to suppress the huge vibration she set up. "Do you think he has an On-Off button?"
Is he kidding with her? Yeri doesn't know. Her tone was a bit too ordinary for Yeri to detect anything else besides that, and Yeri refused to look sideways at Jungkook to capture his facial expression. It tells Jungkook that Yeri wants to look at him; and if there is something that Yeri does not want Jungkook to misunderstand about him, it is his attraction towards Jungkook.
"You mean Suho?" Yeri whispered back, playing her fingers nervously. "You'll be lucky to find a stop button somewhere in there." Subconsciously, Yeri was getting happier because Jungkook seemed to be very entertained with his jokes, Jungkook's eyes were like a flickering copy of a flashlight. "Trust me, Suho seems to be very compatible with our partner. I don't think any of us can really do anything about it. How many friends does he have? "
Jungkook shrugged his shoulders well naturally, but Yeri did not miss the moment of how nervous Jungkook was. Does Jungkook feel awkward like he did because having a normal conversation for the first time is not like usually fighting like an idiot? "Fortunately Namjoon, he manages to convince Suho that he doesn't need to be paired on this blind date. And Kyungsoo really doesn't want to pair up, so I don't think Suho would still offer that. How did Suga get dragged into this blind date? "
The emotions in Yeri's stomach started to bubble up, a great desire to feel enough for her for the first time in a long time gave her a sinking sensation then suddenly floated out of her body. The feeling was so good that he was afraid it appeared on his face. Yeri bit her cravings by sucking on her lower lip, pretending it didn't happen. "I don't know, maybe something happened to her grandmother who had a heat stroke?"
"Fin February exactly." Jungkook gave her a look like Yeri looked crazy and he knew Jungkook gave her such a look without having to look at her. Yeri's lips curved slightly, her eyes twinkling, and when she finally turned to the side to look at Jungkook, Jungkook's own eyes widened smiling at her.
"His grandmother died ten years ago, Jungkook."
Jungkook gasped, "******* that-"
"All right!" Suho interrupted Jungkook's loud cry with a cheerful cry, and whether he heard their talk or not; suho did not show it. Next to him, Sehun looked sad, and Yeri had a great desire to laugh at him. Thankfully, Yeri did not do so, but Jungkook was more rude than him, and easily snorted. Suho continued to pretend a small smile as he whispered next, but everyone was aware he was talking through gritted teeth. "Let's all go inside, each of you remember the number given to you, right?"
"Yes" the answer echoed loudly among all of them. Suho.
"Good! Good luck to everyone! And please don't scare my friends. "
.
Let's just say that the date was an absolute disaster to happen, not by itself, of course, but they made sure to make it a disaster. It wasn't intentional for the three of them to ruin their date, but they made sure to do the things Suho told them not to do, and it didn't fit in with 'good' friends' Suho. Suho was also not happy at all.
But they are, still are, and that's all that matters, really. After each of their dates ran with their tails between their legs as quickly as possible, they gathered to laugh at the memories. Yeri will probably never forget the awkward and tense smile her date gave her while the man's eyes looked for the right way out. Apparently, that look was sparkling in the eyes of the dating friends Sehun and also Jungkook. Afterwards they meet at an ice cream shop and play around, and Jungkook returns to treat him like a toy.
All in all, it was a good day and worth remembering. Yeri will probably never forget it.
Suho probably won't forget it either. How not, he yells at their faces and how humiliated he is when his friends ask him if he deliberately makes them a laughing stock, to think that the three of them failed was definitely not a coincidence. Amidst their muffled laughter; they tried to calm him down, but to no avail. Suho was so angry at them that he did not talk to them for two whole days, which made them bad, but not too bad. They didn't sign up for dating. Suho's anger didn't last too long, and on the third day, he forgave them on the grounds that he never dated again; which was more of a surprise than anything else.
Suho who was not angry, meant that it was a happy Suho.
"We're going camping!"
Exactly like that.
Everyone around the restaurant turned to give him a blank look; Yeri did not even care and quickly took the clams into her plate, hoping that through Suho's sudden exclamation he would have a pretty good chance of picking up as many shells as he could. The rest could deal with Suho.
"... We?" Chanyeol, who sat beside him and blocked the sun from their window; god blessed him, turning to Suho with a full mouth, expressionless eyes and disheveled, fine hair. Suho grinned happily at her, then nodded.
"No, we don't, Suho Hyung," Sehun returned to eat the shells, looking at Yeri with a brief look as he saw Yeri steal one of hers. "Sit down, we'll spend the weekend lazing around our homes and snuggling up in our beds. Sit down and get down!" Sehun jerked Suho through the elbow to sit down.
Suho pouted, and everything looked so innocent and gentle and urgh; yeri pulled her face at her meal, "We can curl up together inside our tent in the wilderness."
"Why go to the wild when we have you, Hyung?" Jimin smiled amusedly at his joke, wiggling his eyebrows at Suho, and the older one just glared.
"What do you mean I'm a wilderness?"
"Or the beast that possessed it." Yeri muttered, half jokingly and half intentionally. Silence ensued after her words flowed down to their table like a rushing and powerful waterfall, and Yeri looked up puzzledly, looking up, amazed to hear the deafening silence that ensued when the boys were not, in fact, a quiet figure.
He finds them all automatically gaping at him, even Jungkook. He raised an eyebrow of astonishment. "What?"
"This is the first time you agreed to something Jungkook Hyung said," muttered Sehun, now sounding like he was trying to fake his shock, his eyes flashing very clearly.
Yeri gives Jungkook his glance because he really agrees with Jungkook? before looking back at what happened earlier, Yeri still tried not to show her feelings. "I think we're getting along?"
"No, we're not." Jungkook refuted, returned to his food and pretended not to look at him.
Yeri sighed, while giving Jungkook the irritated look he ignored, before returning to his meal. Slowly, the silence began to subside, and Suho again raved about his foolish journey.
"Don't mind that fool, why don't you guys go camping?"
"Because we're fed up with your face and we want to spend our weekend, for once, avoiding our nightmares," Kyungsoo looked at her after throwing this bomb at her, and thanked her for it, he was not sitting next to Suho. "By the way, it's you."
Suho sneered again.
"I'm going to get a mosquito repellent, it's not a big deal!" Suho shook his hand, frustration clearly visible on his face, "And we're actually not going camping in the forest! There is a friendly environment for camping that we can rent. It is in the middle of the city and free of insects. The air is also quite clean and there is a water supply. All we have to do is bring the camping gear and be there. That's the end of the story."
"Why do you want to go camping?" Yeri asked, raising her head from the food she had eaten, like a sick octopus and just giving Suho some attention for the first time. As if losing attention, Suho instantly pushed his pouting face and teary eyes, a kind of pitiful air floating around him. Yeri prepared herself and swallowed. However, before she says anything, Kyungsoo pushes himself into the conversation.
"That's one high-level push, Yeri, Suho always wants to go somewhere new." There was a bright twinkle on Kyungsoo's empty face, and he knew this was Kyungsoo's way of teasing. Brutal, but still tempting.
"It's gonna be so much fun!" Suho snorted like an angry lizard; a personified dragon. "We haven't done anything in the last few days! Our meeting has been shortened by the evil test and I still feel burdened by that anxiety despite having finished passing the test! " While some of his words were true, Yeri also wanted to tell him that they had not met yet because Suho refused to stop being such a pathetic person. Fortunately, Yeri did not say anything. "Come, this usual camping trip can make us feel like a breath of fresh and sweet air."
None of them seemed convinced; they all turned their eyes away from his wide eyes, begging, and Jungkook even whistled loudly to give him an answer. Puckered his lips to suppress the waves of irritation that befell him, Suho silently grinned at them, until an idea popped into his head.
"I'll buy food."
"Agreed." They shouted simultaneously.
.
Camping isn't bad, is it?
Well, Yeri would have thought it was so horrible because he had been trying to fix his tent for the last thirty minutes and nothing had worked. There were twigs that were spare, or not, lying on the ground under his feet and the big orange yellow cloth of the tent itself stretched for miles in front of him - okay; maybe not for miles, he said, but tents always seem so big when they are open and peeled between your tiny little bodies.
He's not a good person when it comes to manual work, it's definitely not about fixing his tent either. The bad thing was that everyone around him was repairing their own tents, so they were not available to help him. But that doesn't mean they're not free to make fun of him. He could clearly see Suho holding his laugh a few meters away; jungkook sneered silently with his own work even though he did not look like he was succeeding in fixing his tent either; Kyungsoo glanced amusedly at him from across whenever he cursed loudly how the pain of building the tent was right.
Thankfully, his misery waned as Sehun stepped towards him, looking pleased to himself, but having the decency to look timid about it.
"Need help?" Sehun bowed in front of the woman and her predicament. Yeri raised her head upwards.
"Um, thank you." gesturing to his tent that was scattered awkwardly on the ground, "I don't know how to do this."
"It's okay," Sehun sounded sincere while saying this and Yeri was a little surprised. He did not know Sehun was capable of being sincere. "I don't know how to do this either. I once decided to volunteer in strange activities when I was at school. You know, to pass the time, and one time I joined a club that was specially made to teach how to survive in the forest; making tents was one of their techniques. Actually, it's pretty easy for me. "
Sehun leaned over and began to pick up Yeri's large tent, and Yeri quickly crouched down to help her, despite not knowing how. Part of him whispered that he was doing this was nothing more than an obligation, which he learned to ignore at that time, but the other part of him felt grateful that some of his jerk friends were willing to help him.
"Do you like camping?" Yeri starts some small talk, just because she's not close to him and doesn't know what kind of person he is even though he hates small talk he does himself.
"I live by the sea, Yeri." Sehun looked at her with a very amused expression, smiling. "You answered that question yourself."
"So, why join?"
"I'm a strange child," Sehun shrugged his big shoulder, and Yeri tried not to stare. "I like strange and interesting things that are not related to the main passion in me."
"You call yourself a child?" Yeri finds herself smiling at Sehun, and sees Sehun's eyes reflecting a faint twinkle in his eyes. "With broad shoulders like that?"
Sehun looked at him with a haughty smile, his eyes growing with a look of great delight in a way that Yeri knew was harmless. "I know I have a voluptuous body." Sehun
He realized Oh Sehun could be so charming when he wanted to. Yeri is preoccupied with her problems with Jungkook, Jungkook's hatred of him, and Suho's wild encounters and ideas, that it makes him blind to other handsome people; just like Oh Sehun. Yeri looked at him a little more as he worked in his tent, before shaking his head with a smile that began to grow. Yeri thought about it differently the first time she was introduced to him - and the way she acted around Suho - but Yeri thought she was completely wrong about Sehun.
Sehun fixed his tent in less than twenty minutes, and the tent could stand firmly between the two of them. He blinked in place with fascinated eyes.
"You should teach me this, Sehun," Yeri muttered in surprise. "You should. I need to know how to make my own tent. "
Sehun seemed to be very proud of his indirect praise, almost arrogant, but with a flash of respect for Yeri again, he was clearly trying to suppress her. "I guess you're also interested in a strange survival skill."
Yeri grinned, "Trust me, I'm weird too."
"We fit in with each other, then, which is weird and weirder."
"Please, I want to be even stranger." Yeri seriously said, making herself get a blink from Sehun.
"OK, that's a strange response," Sehun let himself chuckle, "Then you fit the title."
"I know that you consider yourself strange, but you become even stranger than weird," Yeri was not sure why she felt so proud when saying this next, "I'm worse, I'm worse, trust me. It's like part of my personality, sort of chiseled DNA. I don't think that's a good thing. " Maybe it was because Yeri had never seen Sehun's strangeness as an attraction before, but with Sehun's words and movements, she somehow managed to make her strangeness become interesting. That makes it even more interesting, for some reason.
"You think I'm a person who must be weird?" Sehun gave her a blank look, trying not to smile. "Have you ever met me?"
"I've known you for a month now, two weeks from now, Sehun. You look more like the Ice King than what I said just now? "
"Yes, actually," Sehun replied honestly, "At least the Ice King already sounds familiar and I know what to expect from him. Spontaneous? That's the new one. "
Yeri finds herself comforted in a strange way. Anyone would not have thought this Sehun was chatty by seeing how he behaved miserably around Suho and his friends. But Yeri can guess because they are roughly the same age, Sehun is acting less mischievous with him and more of a grown man. Yeri likes this side of Sehun's different self. They don't interact like this, together and alone, never, when Yeri got to know them well a month ago. He had previously thought that he knew what kind of man Oh Sehun was, a mysterious, handsome, and charming cliche who did not smile unless necessary and had sarcasm dripping from his arms and pores. But he was wrong. Oh Sehun is just a stereotype, and he falls into it like he fell into a fire pit.
"Sun."
Someone called for a taller person, both Yeri and Sehun turned back to look at Jungkook behind them, looking annoyed, bowing in his own tent with palms on knees. Jungkook displays his sharp pelvis like this and Yeri should not, should not, should not look at him like this much less be affected; but nevertheless he is affected, his heartbeat became gloomy within his chest and echoed like a broken recorder. Teri swallowed his saliva and threw away his face.
"Yes, Hyung?" Sehun returned.
"Let's help me, okay?" Jungkook whined, straightened his legs - thank God! - and pretended to wipe the sweat off his forehead; his dark black hair looked almost blue in the reflection of the sun. "My kick keeps collapsing, and I have a metal rod half of yours, I really don't know where I should put it. Are they just a backup? " Jungkook pouted like a child, and Yeri went against his desire to smile at his cuteness.
"Sial, Hyung," Sehun whined, giving him an apologetic look before walking towards him, "You're like a five-year-old. I'm coming."
When Sehun no longer blocks Yeri's body from Jungkook; their eyes meet. Jungkook smiled as he mocked her. Then bowed very low, laughed at him for no reason whatsoever, and then said, "Don't Even Try." He (Sheen) Is Too Good for You. '
Yeri rolled her eyes and looked away.
.
Yeri thinks that maybe camping is not that bad and she just needs to calm down so she can enjoy it. They all put up their tents - with help from Sehun, actually - and they all gathered around this eco-friendly forest that seemed to make them lucky, all the while making plans to roast marshmallows. Yeri forgets that she is the only girl in their group at times like this, where they are all together and joking around indefinitely, circling around the fake fire pit they had been trying to ignite for a long time and became like fools .
Until something like this happens and reminds him.
"Where are you going?" He asked Suho, who suddenly just stood up and went to pick up a towel from his bag, and encouraged the others to do the same, he said, and Yeri sat down with a wooden stick in her hand trying to stir fire out of the wood below. "I won't be burdened with food duties anymore."
"It's just a roasted marshmallow, Yeri," Chanyeol, six-foot tall and something wrapped around her neck: a pink towel, with a polka-dot mermaid motif around her neck, rolling her eyes at Yeri as if she couldn't understand her. annoyed, "Make the best marshmallow, dear."
Yeri ignored him, "Suho, where are you going and why are you holding a towel?"
"There's a lake here!" Suho excitedly shouted and honestly what the hell did not breed Suho spirit? "We decided to swim in it! This place is pretty awesome! They have the whole concept of a forest and they even make an artificial lake the size of a golf course! "
It was as if Yeri could not see the concept of the forest she was referring to herself, for God's sake. She got all of Katniss Everdeen's feelings after she first entered this forest, and she got the whole movie scene in her head before she got used to it. Suho did not need to show it anymore.
"You want to join us, Yeri?" Kyungsoo did not smile. Never does. Now, he was not really smiling but there was an evil glint in his eyes. Yeri doesn't want to keep him entertained.
"I don't think I feel comfortable swimming with a girl." Jungkook furrowed his nose, putting his exaggerated palm on his chest as if protecting his body or whatever it was.
Yeri glared at him, the fire growing inside his body like a burning candle being exposed by magic.
"It's not that I won't be too relaxed looking at your naked body in the lake, either!"
Jungkook grinned, now moving his palms up and down his body suggestively, "Is this a compliment? I can't forget the fact that my body is a real stove, huh? "
"Instead, actually," Yeri bit her Marshmallow without getting bothered, still glaring and knowing that Jungkook had let go of his sharp gaze yet he still could not stop, "I don't think I want to swim near your body. I'm afraid of radioactivity. "
Jungkook pouted, saying nothing and admitting his defeat. Yeri was furious at his success.
"Why don't you want to swim with us?" Suho asked as if he had no clue as to what had just happened right in front of him between the two enemies, flashing in great innocence. Yeri sighed again, this time out of absolute vexation, and stood up from her place, throwing the stick aside like a tissue she threw away. He walked towards Suho like a typhoon, but Sehun quickly rushed towards them, standing between him and Suho.
"She's ashamed, Hyung," Sehun swallowed the look in the eyes he received from Yeri. "I think it's very rude to have a girl come to swim with you."
Suho was surprised and turned his body so that he could punch Sehun in the stomach. "That's not what I meant! I don't want to leave him alone with these leaves and trees! "
"Trust me, Hyung," Jungkook finds a new moment to attack, and Yeri hates his arrogant smile. "Yeri used to be friends with the dead. Fish, food bowls, TV, trees, and so on. " Jungkook started laughing happily.
Yeri blushed from the roots of her hair all the way to her cheeks. Jungkook was clearly talking about that when he caught Yeri talking to Suho fish himself when the pesky-faced Yeri after drinking a heavy vodka bottle; drinking alone. Or when Yeri stood behind a tree and whispered secret things to herself, perhaps the encouragement when he prayed it managed to hide him from the grasp of the hand of Suho who wanted to force him to play football with them. And that time with the TV. No, Yeri doesn't want to remember that.
Yeri was tempted to take off one of her shoes and throw it at Jungkook's face.
"Not cool, Hyung, not cool." Sehun reprimanded Jungkook, making an older frown. Then, Sehun turned to her, his gaze looking good. "Just sit by the lake so Hyung doesn't end up doing cardio. At least you're in a close distance where he can see you. "
Yeri didn't mean to agree, she really didn't, but the vexation in Jungkook's eyes because being followed made him want to agree. So he did. "Okay, all right, I'm leaving."
Chanyeol pouty. "However, who makes our food?"
.
While walking down the lake, Yeri's 'golf-size' puddle likes to compare; he stands around the edge of the lake with such a big frown on his face, he hoped that his face would not be stuck with such an expression, but also very much hoped that it would happen. At least she was scarier than the yellow baby duck, as Suho had once explained to her.
Everyone was swerving on the water. Their voices were so loud that their voices not only echoed around the place - and echoed into the nearby neighbor's tent - but also pounded loudly into his eardrum. Yeri has sensitive ears, and she usually avoids going noisy places like this. However, knowing that his friends are only a few seconds away from the lake, and Suho's watchful eyes follow him; he reluctantly rushes away from the place so he can have some fun himself. Like sleep, for example.
And the place was so fixed on the concept of an entire real forest that the entire place was surrounded by mud. Ground, wet, real mud. If there was a secret hiding under all the layers of Yeri's body, it was the cold puddles and unpolluted mud. Yeri gets terror from everything that is not clean and the forest is the embodiment of germs and evil diseases. Her parents thought she had OCD, once a year, which meant enough for her and her parents to notice.
Yeri grimaced at the joyous screams from the boys and their new friends, and the sound of mud splattered under her feet. Part of him was disgusted with the land, and the nudity of the boy across. As they all carry their clothes and enter, and Yeri keeps her eyes to herself. He got used to Sehun and Chanyeol's muscles; even the geeky Suho with his prescribed belly. He saw it too much, and he was almost as immune to them as he was now. However, he was completely unaware of the fact Jungkook had grown some of his own muscles, and even though his body was slender compared to the others, the oto-muscles were still well developed into new bulges. Yeri continued to stare up at the sky for a few minutes like the time it took Jungkook to take off his shirt, and strangely Jungkook also grinned at him.
Finally managed to stand somewhere strong enough with her boots; Yeri saw the cold horizon ahead; sunlight quickly danced on her face and danced a yellow, orange, light, gold to his body. He looked down towards his messy and chaotic boots that had been reduced, and sighed. He would never go on a camping trip again.
There were a few logs on the ground in between, and he took the one closest to him. He drew a notched line at first, bored, bored, and then decided that their swimming might be time-consuming - they were always a little careless in terms of spending their time - so he started drawing some complicated abstracts, like a designer; with an amused smile at how annoying it was.
His joy was cut short by the rough and deep voice of a person.
"Why don't you swim?" Yeri instantly recognized the voice and grin, her small sense of calmness cut off by the vexation from the person's presence. He did not see his path full of puddles right in front of him and he was not amused by the question of that person. He didn't even bother looking at that person; jungkook didn't take this lightly, of course, and still teased Yeri. "Fear of a small puddle?"
It seemed Jungkook knew exactly what buttons to press and what words to spit out. Yeri turned her attention away from the art she made and glared at Jungkook as if he was a fool. Jungkook swims against the water expertly, he has been a swimming champion several times in his High School days. Yeri was a little envious of the elegance of her strong body, arms, and legs. The water wraps it up as if Jungkook is a member of the family. Water drops make their behavior look soft and transparent, almost like a male mermaid. His black hair slid gently onto his forehead, a few strands surging furiously after he tried to drive them out of his eyes. Jungkook looks a bit too charming now and Yeri hates how he can be affected. He hates the fact that he wants to scoop up and kiss Jungkook. But he will not give up on his will. He knows how badly things change every time he does.
Yeri remained glaring. "This silly little pool of water is filled with deadly dust and viruses. Did you know worms are spreading in the water and entrenched in your brain right now? Have fun with it when you try to get them out one by one from inside your brain, Oh, but that wouldn't have happened if they hadn't laid eggs on your neurons first, you idiot. "
Jungkook rolled his eyebrows in boredom, as if he was annoyed at Yeri, but Yeri was well aware of his small grin, "Ups, Doc, sorry, water gives you such a scary thing." But there's nothing here. It is an artificial pond with clean and pure water. I doubt there will be a "
"Macrobiotics don't distinguish between water from the outside or the body for that matter" Yeri growled, his stick he held with how tightly he squeezed his fingers around it. "They will attack your body and kill you with a slow and delayed death until every hole in your body bleeds. They will be wounded only if you are burned alive on the fire, and you will not know what happened until they split your head open. By the time that happened, it was too late. "
Unlike his desired reaction, Jungkook looked amused and very comforted; his lips curved wider. "You don't know how to swim, do you?"
Yeri blushed like an angry red color, and arrogantly turned her face away from Jungkook, she was embarrassed. When he wanted to answer her, his voice came out in embarrassment. "... You already know the answer."
Jungkook did not answer; just looked at him. Of course, Jungkook knew the answer. Whynot? But he was still a bit shocked by it. How old? Why didn't he learn how to swim? Jungkook is not condescending; he only knows what kind of personality Yeri has, and if there is an opportunity that Yeri does not know that might be held against him or make him feel scorned; he would be crazy to learn it. Even perfect. That was what Yeri used her entire life because of what her parents expected of her. Crazy expectations can make a person obsessive, so to hear he is not learning - yet - makes him a little, well, Jungkook does not know what to feel. Should he feel happy Yeri is no longer forced to do things out of obligation instead of a real desire for having once been used to destroy it? Or should he be upset about not going through a real process with Yeri?
Yeri pointed her wand at Jungkook when the silence was long, her cheeks were still red. "Come, shoo, leave me alone."
Jungkook ignored that and swallowed his saliva; the small pressure that grew in his heart as he watched Yeri standing alone intensified the terrible grip on his heart. His eyes, unbeknownst to him, became soft in a way he had not pointed out lately, and without realizing it, he walked over. "Come," he said softly; recklessly. "I'll hug you."
Yeri looked at him with a cold and indifferent look, Jungkook wondered if there was a layer that Yeri had built up to protect himself in the same way as he built that layer against others. When Yeri spoke again, she got a clear confirmation, "There's a joke there, right?"
Okay, so when he decided to be gentle and honest with Yeri, he didn't accept it. But why should he be surprised? That's the definition of what makes it, he. Still, the gleaming irritation on his body was so strong that he was afraid that he would finally throw out his entrails. "of course. It was a way for me to persuade you just to let you drown. I don't think you're that smart, do you? "
"I," Yeri sneered, "I won't fall for it."
"Just go!" Yeri shouted like an angry and violent fox; while shaking her legs swirling around the water with a loud and powerful kick. His face was red and it was cute, but he was a bit surprised by the man's reaction. "Go from before me!"
"Why don't you go!" Yeri pointed the stick towards Jungkook, swinging it around. "I'm the first one here, and I'm the one who told you to go first!"
"Urgh, you're so frustrating!" Jungkook growled, completely smashing the water with his fists as if hoping it was Yeri's face or something, and then swam away with the steam coming out of his ears. His kick was still strong, which made him resemble a rampaging little boy. And again, he always has.
Yeri sighed as the man left, felt relieved for all the wrong reasons, and again stepped on the moist, wet ground under her feet with a strong frown on her face. If there's one thing he's good at doing, it's reading people's emotions and then pushing them away, and if there's one thing he's doing well about Jungkook, it's, it's exactly like that.
