Illusions
CHAPTER 3 (Part 3)

He could hear loud music muffled through the door of his room and tickled his ears. A part of him wants to go out and listen to music from the source, close like a speaker mounted outside for example, but another part of him likes the solitude he is currently experiencing. She is a naturally introverted girl, and she likes to stay alone and read books on her own. However, knowing there was a party going on right outside his door made him feel a bit tense. Every time the shadows under the door moved, he held his breath, hoping that anyone outside would not knock on his door. There are instances when the door knob is moving hard, someone is trying to get in. Fortunately anyone who wanted to enter gave up quickly and left just like that!

He danced a little with the music he could hear and then let out a loud sigh. It's okay, he said to himself, he can go out a little bit and enjoy the party. There was alcohol there but he swore after the disaster that happened the last time he drank some time ago, he decided not to drink anymore in a crowded place. He had humiliated himself and that shame could last a lifetime. Although she felt a little too claustrophobic inside her room, alone, when everyone was out there.

He's thinking about Jungkook. He would obviously be outside, and seriously, he wanted to see Jungkook and enjoy some of his chatty presence. Maybe Jungkook will drink and he will need his help to straighten out his path/view. However, thinking about Yein, made her anger hit her fingertips. He stood up from his bed and walked to his wardrobe. She changed her underwear and wore a short pencil skirt over the sweater she was already wearing. She contemplated wearing heels but considered it too much, and chose to wear her dark blue flat.

Downwards proved irritating as he thought exactly like his first thought. Too crowded. There were people wandering the stairs, and others making out the door. There was a couple who were actually two meters away from doing dirty things at the end of the spiral staircase, and he passed them quickly.

Around the kitchen she sees Chanyeol and Kyungsoo (plus a dozen other people), Chanyeol waves at her happily, while Kyungsoo grins at her as if she knows something she is about to do. She rolled her eyes at Kyungsoo and ignored him. He decided to head to the living room where there was a sofa there, fortunately, not completely full.

He finds Jungkook talking to a girl on one of the sofas, possibly Yein, and he decides to sit in the right place in front of her, watching Jungkook. Really, she didn't want to be a creepy stalker girl, but Jungkook laughed at the girl and the girl twirled her hair behind her ears with a timid smile and looked too amazingly beautiful. There was no way he would let the two of them out of his sight when they were clearly enjoying themselves.

Jungkook noticed it immediately. He turned away from Yein just a little to look at her, Jungkook looked like he was looking for someone, and when his eyes fell right towards Yeri, who was watching him, Jungkook gave him a sharp look. Apparently, glaring was not Yeri's first choice as she looked surprised at first, but Jungkook glared at her as he realized that he had been watching her.

Yeri simply gave her a smile, a smile that hid the frustration and jealousy she felt when she saw the girl who looked so pleasant acting so timidly around Jungkook. Jungkook rolled his eyes and continued talking to Yein, every second Jungkook would stare at Yeri, see if Yeri was still staring at him, and then throw away his face.

They play a game of eye contact, then, Yeri watches him without blinking and Jungkook watches him intensely. A kind of tension quickly builds up between them and Yeri is so aware of it that she can almost grab the girl's hand and grab it. Jungkook's eyes were incredible, filled with great emotions, making him look like a very dangerous person. Yeri, on the other hand, was trying to soften the roar of emotions she felt when she saw the stranger with Jungkook and Jungkook actually hitting on the girl. He did not know exactly what he was feeling apart from the two feelings of anger and jealousy, but whatever it was, it was strong and hard, winding in his stomach like two swipes of sunlight.

"Hey, Yeri!"

"Oh, Jongdae," Yeri greeted, shaking her head to return some of her expressions. "Hi, I didn't know you were invited."

Jongdae gave him a mischievous smile, waiting for Yeri to realize how rude his words were. Yeri blushed, understanding her own words.

"Damn, sorry," Yeri apologized softly. "That sounds a little arrogant to me. I don't mean to say that you guys were never present at Suho's party and I don't think you guys will be here." Yeri told Jongdae, including Minseok and Yixing. He had yet to see the other two boys but he suspected they were around Suho's house.

"It's okay," Jongdae laughed out loud, moving closer to him than before, the warmth of his thigh felt in Yeri's body. "I know exactly what you mean. I'm not a party enthusiast like Suho so I rarely come to these kinds of things. I have a day off at university tomorrow so I'm thinking about buying a bottle of beer or going out for some fun. "

There's a little silence. Yeri did not know what to say about the words Jongdae had uttered and she did not know what to say about his entire presence. She sucks at being an introvert and she sucks, even more so, when talking about short, easy conversations. Fortunately for her, Jongdae looks like a person who is too good at such things, and she looks at him with a mischievous smile like a cat.

"I don't consider you a skirt girl."

"Excuse me?" Yeri was shocked, shocked more than anything and looked at Jongdae as if he had gone mad. If he tried to ease his awkwardness, then that statement was not the solution.

"Oh shit, don't take that offended," his smile faded slightly. He looks panicked. "I just thought you'd be more comfortable wearing jeans and .. stuff like that."
