"Sorry."
"For what?" Yeri muttered, finally picked up her chopsticks and started eating.
"I don't know, you look upset."
"That's it," Yeri took some of her food and placed it on top of the Jungkook rice. "Eat your food."
Jungkook hesitates, and he sees Yeri, but he decides not to say anything and Yeri also agrees. Jungkook continues to eat his food with only silence left between them.
"Trust me, he's lying."
"Excuse me?"
Yeri sat down with Suho, five hours after Jungkook left their house, and drank tea. Yeri is not one to drink tea, but Suho's head is still pounding with his homemade soup (which he drinks like a hungry monkey) and with his food as well. Suho told him that his headache rarely subsided with just soup, but he still wanted to eat that bowl of soup. Currently, Suho had made green tea and he had been drinking that tea cup by cup.
"I swear," he said, confirming his earlier statement. "Jungkook is not the type of person who forgets his memories when he is drunk. He has a memory made of steel. "
Yeri, mistakenly, tells Suho what happened to Jungkook and himself after waking up. And unfortunately, Yeri told me everything. Right now Yeri insists that Jungkook lied to her, that she forgot about what happened was part of the play she played.
"Why did he lie about what happened?" Yeri blinked her eyes in confusion, drinking her tea. "We reached an agreement, a kind of common ground. Why is he pretending it didn't happen? "
"He denies?" Suho looked at him disappointedly for not succeeding in guessing Jungkook's intent. "Because he's scared? Or I think he's a jerk. Why didn't you tell him what really happened? "
"Because it's no use!" Yeri exclaimed, placing her teacup on the table, so that she could hold Suho's hand. "He doesn't remember it and I don't want to put him in a position where he has to choose something he doesn't want to choose because he's in a conscious state."
"Didn't he tell you to ask when he was conscious?" Suho gave Yeri a look of dissatisfaction.
"It's about a completely different topic, Suho." Yeri blushed a little considering how brave she was, and how Jungkook responded.
"So you have the guts to kiss her but you don't have the guts to ask her to remember? Shit, I didn't expect you to do anything like that. "
"It's been hard for me" said Yeri, putting her face on the table, trying to hide from the world. "Please don't comment."
For a moment, Yeri was clearly upset so Suho stopped commenting on his misery and about how cowardly he was. Yeri thought she had stopped being a timid person, that she would be braver, that she would hold the courage in her hands and squeeze her fear. He thought a lot about what he wanted to be, and now his first obstacle had made him retreat, like a frightened little cat.
"We'll all meet for lunch today," Suho placed his hand on Yeri's shoulder. "You're coming too, right?"
"Hey, wait," Suho grabbed his wrist before he could stand up, and when he turned to her hesitantly. "Everything's gonna be okay, okay?"
"Yes," whispered Yeri. "hopefully."
It is safe to say that their lunch has become a big mess. Suho told them all that he would pay for their food and they could order whatever they wanted; but in fact Suho only really did that to comfort Yeri. Everyone became very happy except for him, and he gave his pouting gaze to Suho. Despite this, everyone was currently mentioning their order to Suho and the order really overwhelmed Suho.
"I want a hamburger! Double Cheese and Double Salad and all that double!" Sehun exclaimed, practically throwing away his menu and bouncing on his chair like a child. He went back to being a childish person, Yeri thought.
"We're not at the American fast food restaurant, Sehun, stop acting like idiots." Suho rolled his eyes from his chair.
"Can I order oysters?" Kyungsoo politely asked, even raising his hand like a kindergarten child. She looked at Yeri with a sneer as Yeri saw Kyungsoo watching her, and Yeri pouted sitting to her chair while avoiding the look in her eyes.
Ever since they arrived at the restaurant, and Kyungsoo looked at him and Jungkook with his evil eyes, and, knowing exactly what was going on between the two and knowing exactly how shameful it would be would make them feel if he secretly sent them his evil gaze once in a while. Yeri's shocked face, Jungkook's face will be flaming reddish as well if he knows exactly what Kyungsoo's mocking smile means.
"Sure, Kyungsoo." Suho let out a heavy breath.
"Oh, oh, I want chicken!" Kai exclaimed like a child like Sehun's exclamation, and he even raised his hand up to make himself look more innocent. Yeri went against her desire to roll her eyes at the two of them.
"That's the only thing you can eat, Jongin!" Suho tried not to scream at the restaurant. "Make some difference, damn it!"
"I said what I wanted to say," Kai shrugged. "I ordered what I wanted to order. "
"Can I order a plate of red lobster for myself, Suho Hyung." Minseok puts himself in conversation, showing his puppy's eyes. Jongdae beside him laughed out loud.
"I'm actually not your Hyung, Minseok Hyun—" Suho tried to voice his words but Minseok actually cut him off.
"Everyone who pays for my food will automatically become older than me or I will call him father. You want to be called that name? "
Everyone was busy chatting and being a fool, and having fun. Except for Yeri and Jungkook. Yeri is not really in the pleasant mood that every boy seems to always have, whereas Jungkook stares at the table and ignores everyone's whereabouts. Yeri kept looking at him, occasionally, and whenever Jungkook's eyes looked at him, he looked back. Yeri is surprised to learn Jungkook is also looking at her, but she is more surprised that Jungkook seems to really feel guilty for no reason whatsoever. Suho's words came back to haunt his mind.
"Hey, are you okay?" Jongdae bowed and asked him. Jongdae sat between him and Minseok, and every minute their bodies would touch as close as their seats. He did not mind too much because Jongdae was a good person, but he was a little insecure about the whisper.
Yeri gave Jungkook a glimpse and question of Jongdae, and Jungkook looked back at him, the intensity of his gaze almost as strong as his, before throwing his face away. Yeri turned to Jongdae with a sigh.
