Chapter 2: Robert and Dean Caro
"Robert return!" Dean Caro softened his voice. But still there is tucked in a commanding tone.
"No!" Robert insists.
Dean Caro's face instantly turned even more terrifying.
"You think you can catch me? Humph, you can't!" continued Robert. "After all, haven't I been kicked out in the first place?"
"We didn't kick you out!" cut Charlotte off from a distance. "You yourself know, that they only envy you that's why they treat you that way"
"Humph, even if I don't get treated like that, I'm still getting out of here. I don't want to be the old man's political weapon..." Robert stared cynically at Dean Caro.
"You're not polite! Dean Caro is your father, you shouldn't have acted that way to him!" timpal Charlotte's.
"...."
Robert did not answer. For a moment his face turned sad, but it quickly turned serious. He waved his hand and started using magic.
DUARR!! A huge gush of water started to emerge from the empty air and hit the white-robed people. Some robed people tried to dodge, but failed. And a few more started to form protective shields, but suddenly CRACK! The water that hit them froze. Almost half the people were trapped in the ice chunks and some others managed to dodge with flying magic.
"Based on a brat!" Dean Caro growling. The ground beneath them shook. Dean Caro is an air magic specialist, so he can manipulate the sound waves scattered in the air. As a result, the surrounding environment becomes small when exposed to magic. There can even be the most severe situations, earth echoes, landslides, and cause rupture of the eardrum.
Dean Caro started to raise his hand. Instantly the remaining white-robed people immediately flew over to Robert and surrounded him. They swiftly took out a set of magic tools and activated it. The magic tool gave off light then fused together, forming a cage. The cage has Robert and Eva in it.
"Huh, another magic tool? Brackets are useless. You think this could get in my way?" robert said arrogantly and started using his magic.
NAH! I heard the button open. One of the white-robed people took out another magic tool. And instantly Robert's magic disappeared in the air.
"What's? Magic barrier tool?" Robert frowned.
I tried to circulate the mana inside my body, but I couldn't. This time our magic was completely sealed. They are favourable because they have more people. Although Robert's magic is powerful, it is useless if it cannot be used.
Robert and I were stuck in the middle of that magic prison, unable to move.
Dean Caro smiled a triumphant smile and walked up to us.
"Take Robert take him to his room!" her word.
Then she looked at Eva "And for this little girl.." her eyes narrowed "get rid of it!" said cold. "We don't need useless pests"
Woahs? Whahuh? They're gonna get rid of me? Hows it?
Are they going to kill me or banish me?
"Yes, guruu..." Cahrlotte suddenly chimed in. "She's Duke Court's daughter. Is it okay?" tanyanya doubt.
Dean Caro raised his eyebrows "Oh?"
"Daughter of Duke Court"
"Hmmm" Dean Caro thought for a while 'we can't waste time fighting the noble faction just because of this little boy. We haven't even dealt with the enemy here. We can't add to the enemy' he thought.
"Catch them both! Separate the rooms both! Don't forget to install the magic barrier tool in Robert's room" he said later.
Slowly the magic cage began to fade, then the white-robed men began to approach us, restraining us, and separating me from Robert.
Oh? I saw a man in a cloak beside me. He was the one who activated the magic barrier tool earlier. I'm really lucky. With a quick movement I immediately pushed the person down onto the floor. Don't forget, when the magic purification tool is activated, we all have ordinary people.We can't use magic, then the enemy also can't hehehe...
Robert smiled. He used his magic.
BLAR! Instantly the cloaked people who were holding Robert were instantly knocked down.
Dean Caro gritted his teeth furiously. She looked at Eva with hate. 'I tolerated her because she was the duke's daughter, but she was really the source of the chaos. I have to eliminate it. He can screw Robert up and disrupt my plans, ' Dean Caro thought.
Robert felt something was wrong. He was wary when he saw Dean Caro's sinister gaze. Then she realized that creepy look was directed at Eva.
"Geev! Come here" cried Robert as well as approached him.
I heard Robert's cry and turned to "Good, master" and started slowly towards him. But suddenly Dean Caro acted. He used his magic ROARR!! The whole place is shaking. The ground under their feet began to crack. But, KREK, KREK, KREK, the ground under my feet continued to crack until it finally shattered, forming a large hole.
"Uwahh??" I exclaimed in shock as my body began to fall into the hole.
"Geev!" Robert tried to catch him, but the robed men blocked his path.
"I'm fine masterr" I shouted while using flying magic to crawl up. Then I started using light magic to blind the enemy's sight.
Robert directly attacked them and made them turn into chunks of ice.
Those white robed men were already removed. There's only me, Robert, Dean Caro, Charlotte and her guards left.
I flew towards Robert, then used dark magic to open the dimension. This is ridiculous. But this is a magic I've only learned for two days. I accidentally found an ancient book in the library before moving to the capital to have a tea party. And the book explains that dark magic can be used as teleportation. You can make a 'black hole' or a dimensional hole, to move to another place.
I just cast the spell in my mind and imagined it. I don't know if it worked or not, because it's my first try! But, if it works, we can get out of here. Slowly the air in front of us began to roberk. Then form a small circle that rotates.
"Uwahh!! It worked!" I screamed happily.
But, that's not up to expectations. The hole that formed was slowly getting smaller and smaller until it finally left nothing.
"Eh? I failed?"
I did all of that without a second thought. Somehow when Robert came my alertness began to diminish. And I started using magic all I wanted.
"Master?" I rebuked Robert who seemed to be silently pecking. Face confused. "What's the master?" my many.
Eva really doesn't know the outcome of her actions.
"Where did you learn this magic? I never taught you, did I?" robert asked while looking at Eva strangely.
"I found an ancient book in our home library master~" I said spoiled as I hugged Robert. "Am I not cool? I almost managed to do it, I just need to try again and practice hehehe..."
"...." - ".Robert looked dazed.
"Don't use that magic again" he said seriously.
"Eh? Wh why? Not that old man" I pointed at Dean Caro "also out from above the ceiling? It's the same magic, isn't it? Magic moving places?"
"I can teach you teleportation. Don't use that magic anymore" Robert began to daze while holding his head dizzy. He then turned his eyes around. And seeing Charlotte and Dean Caro widen her eyes in shock.
"Haaa" Robert sighed 'My burden is getting heavier. What am I supposed to do? Even if we manage to escape, the Magic Tower will target Eva all the way to the Duke's residence. How do I take care of it?' thought Robert.
He saw the little girl beside him. I wanted to scold him for being careless. But after the girl hugged him and spoke cheerfully, she instantly unbundled her intentions. Eva's happy voice sounded like a beautiful bell in her ear, she did not want to scold him and make him cry.
