Chapter 6 Unexpected Guest (Robert)

Eva and Vivian accidentally meet Sayn and Reina on the streets of the capital. Eva doesn't know what they're doing. Even he was almost desperate with Sayn. Until he understood the meaning of why Sayn approached Reina. Everything was to investigate the mysterious person behind the Marquis family. Eva asks Sayn for help first.
Vivian also managed to calm herself down. He suddenly invited Sayn to the house for dinner. Sayn agreed.

Me and Vivian went back to the mansion. It's still morning. We were cooking dinner. So, I want to use this time to relax with Vivian.
"Eva, there's a guest coming looking for you~" Diana suddenly told me when we got back. I told Vivian to go to the back garden first because I would catch up later.
A guest? Wh who?
Diana even told me to go to the Duke's room. Is this my guest or Duke's guest?
When I got to Duke's office, two familiar people were discussing there. They are Robert and Duke.
Surprisingly when I arrived, Robert quickly hid something that was previously aimed at Duke. Whatisit? It was as if he was hiding it so I wouldn't see it.
"Hello" Robert raised his hand with an awkward smile.
I looked at them both with suspicious eyes. They must be hiding something from me, right? Who would have thought that Duke and Robert would share such a secret? I want to know too!
"What are you hiding?" ask me sharp while folding both hands on the chest.
"Nothing" suddenly the two men, Duke and Robert, replied in unison. It made me even more suspicious. Why are they acting like this?
Duke and Robert looked at each other with shocked expressions. Didn't expect that they would talk at the same time like that.
"During didn't meet Eva~" Robert instantly switched the topic.
I snatched away displeased. "Don't switch the topic. What are you hiding?"
"It's an adult business" Duke directly opened his mouth. He was very confident in his statement.
I looked at them in disbelief. An adult? Oi! I'm even more mature than you, Duke! I want to scream like that, but of course I can't.
The Duke coughed softly as he said "Isn't it rude not to welcome your teacher?"
"Welcome, masta~" I said sweetly. But my face still pouted while glaring at them.
Robert has been missing a lot lately. After the magic match was over, he had completely disappeared for quite a long time. I didn't even see him in the academy exam. Where did this guy go again?
"Robert, where have you been all this time?" I asked blatantly.
Duke nodded in surprise. She did not expect that her daughter would call her teacher by her name like that. He thought it was disrespectful. But he did not say any protest.
But Eva did it after she got her direct approval from Robert. So he did not feel awkward at all despite calling her by name.
"Mission" replied Robert briefly.
"All right." I said. He obviously didn't want to tell me. "Welcome. I'm glad you're back safe"
Robert smiled happily "Thank you".
I'm really glad Robert got back safely. Who knew the mission was quite dangerous and life-threatening. Although I don't know what kind of mission he's on this time.
"I told Robert to have dinner with us later" the Duke said later.
"I called you because I wanted to talk about something" Robert said seriously.
I raise my eyebrows. "What?"
Robert pulled me out of the room. We were in the middle of the living room. But take it easy, there is no one in the living room. So the atmosphere is quite quiet and very easy to talk.
"I got a report from the academy. What's going on?"
Robert's question made my body stiffen instantly. Maybe it means the incident during the match exam, right? Does he want to blame me for hurting that guy too?
Seeing that Eva did not answer him and only mutely lowered her head, Robert immediately said "I trust you. Tell me everything" he said.
I raised my head and looked at Robert with slightly sparkling eyes. He won't blame me, will he? I opened my mouth and told everything slowly.
Robert did not interrupt when Eva told him. She just kept quiet and listened until Eva told her story.
I'm not going to pretend well to be the downtrodden one here. Even though the opponent swore at me and my entire family, to be honest I was still guilty of not being able to hold back my emotions.
"Like that." I said softly. I ended my story.
I looked at Robert timidly. But the man did not give any reaction until my story was finished. He's not angry, is he?
Robert raised his hand and suddenly rubbed Eva's hair quickly. It made the girl's long hair become irregular.
"Good work" Robert replied later.
"Eh?" I looked at Robert puzzled while holding onto my messy hair.
"You didn't kill him. That's a good job. If I were you, that person wouldn't be alive" Robert said later.
I looked up in disbelief when I heard his response. He didn't blame me? Is this a dream? But, Robert has never been so bad at me since I was a kid. Only I was too over-thinking about his attitude because he was one of the main characters.
"I don't mean to be evil. Everyone hates me" I said softly.
"I can't understand why it's evil?" Robert asked back.
"?"
"Someone insulted you. It's only natural that you're angry. Especially if they have the intention to kill you, then the person should not be allowed to live" continued Robert.
The response was very smooth, not what I expected. I thought Robert would blame me. It turns out my guess was completely wrong. Somehow I felt very relieved and happy when I heard his response.
"Thank you Robert..."
Robert gasped for a moment before finally smiling. "No problem"
The two people continued their conversation. Starting from Robert who asked about Eva's activities in the academy. Then Eva who explained that she could pass the exam well could even snatch the number five seat of the top hundred general rank. Robert who heard her praised her subtly because of her hard work.
"So? What have you been doing all this time? What's the job of the Magic Tower again?" I'm starting to wonder why he's been missing lately.
"Have your friends not waited long? I'm gonna go see Duke again and wait until dinner" in a flash Robert shifts the topic again.
I cringed confused.
"See you" Robert didn't care about Eva's confused face. More precisely he pretended not to know. In an instant he instantly disappeared and left Eva behind.
Robert must be hiding something from me. His attitude is so blatant! What exactly is he hiding? Why is he hiding so much? What is the secret mission? Then what did he do with the Duke so he had to hide his from me as well?
