Chapter 6 Reuniting

Dinner starts peacefully. At dinner, there was also a bit of conflict. Especially between Sayn, Robert and Denis. But Sayn and Denis' conflict is intense, given that both come from rival kingdoms.
The three men invite Eva to spend the holidays with them. But Eva can't. Ren appears blatantly and tells everyone that Eva is on vacation with him. Making a bit of a misunderstanding happens until Eva says that Diana is also coming along.

"He's funny..." Ren muttered little.
Diana pulls Ren back, making the two of them sit on the sofa near the baby basket.
"When I gave birth to Eva, I was very happy. And while giving birth to Evan, I became even happier" Diana smiled happily. "They are precious to me"
Ren did not answer. He allowed Diana to keep telling stories.
"A long time ago we did not meet. I don't even remember it's been a few years. But your face remains the same" Diana stroked Robert's cheek. "You look even younger than me" Diana smiled painfully.
Ren could also only smile awkwardly. He's not aging at all. And actually this was quite painful as Diana reminded him back about it.

Diana was even amazed when she saw him. "You're so handsome" he praised her. Last time, Diana saw this form while in the elf palace. And he just looked at her for a second. He spends more time with Ren's human form. So Ren's original appearance is only vague in his memory.
The bedroom door sounded. Ren stiffened, he was afraid that the mad Duke was coming. But it was Eva. Ren let out a sigh of relief and quickly changed his appearance back.
"Eva, kari~" Diana was not awkward at all and had Eva sit on her lap.

"As you get older, the sooner you leave me." Diana said sadly.

I clasped Diana's hand that hugged me. "I'm not leaving my mother..."
"Of course, my Eva won't leave me~" Diana said later. His sad face disappeared.

Diana nodded. "We talked about visiting. And also a little nostalgic about our past."

Diana immediately gasped.
"Thank you Ren~" he said in earnest.
"I also gave him a blessing. I gave him protective magic. At least it could be used once when his life was in danger" That was Ren's last words. "See you later" and the man instantly disappeared on the spot.
