Since You Married Me

Since You Married Me
Just Once This Is All

The taxi that Evan was riding on had disappeared at the end of the road, but it did not also make Zaya move from where he stood before.

Zaya was still pecking with tears unceasingly falling on her cheeks. Suddenly the flashes of his childhood sprung up one by one, making his chest become increasingly crowded.

The flashback

"*Hiks... Brother Evan..he's evil.he took Dee's cake.Padapalkan had him eaten first earlier..hiks...."

Little Zaya cried because the rations of the cake from the person who visited the parlor were taken by another substitute friend.

Evan approached and immediately stroked the top of his head to calm the little girl down.

"Who took it?" Ask Evan.

Zaya pointed to a big boy who was eating his cake.

"Bobby...Sis....Bad bobbi..hiks....hiks..." Zaya was still crying, while the boy appointed by Zaya immediately put all the rest of the cake she held into her mouth. He stuck his tongue out at Zaya while running away.

Zaya who saw him became even more annoyed and cried even harder.

"Already, already... Dee don't cry anymore, yeah. This is Brother's sister hasn't eaten yet. Dee's the one who eats." Evan offered his cake to Zaya. The boy's cry stopped, then he looked at Evan's cake and looked at Evan's face in turn.

Evan smiled and fed the cake in his hand to Zaya's mouth. Zaya took the bribe and chewed it greedily.

"Enak, huh?" Ask Evan.

Zaya only nodded because her mouth was full and could not answer.

"Aren't you going?" Zaya holds back the last piece that Evan will feed her.

Evan shook his head.

"Sister is full. Dee's the one who eats." Said lying. Little Zaya's eyes sparkled and accepted the final piece happily.

Evan smiles at her.he is happy if Zaya's stomach can be filled.

It wasn't the first time Evan held back hunger for Zaya. Evan had very often given up his food rations for the little boy.

Then another day, Zaya cried because she could not write her own name.

Of all his classmates, only Zaya herself still could not know all the letters well. As a result, Zaya returned to the ridicule of his friends by saying that he was a shrimp-brained stupid child.

Zaya is back.

After school he did not go straight to the orphanage and sat in his place to play with Evan.

Again Evan came looking for him with food.

"It's been...Don't cry anymore. After this Brother will teach Dee how to write Dee's own name." Persuade Evan.

"But they said Dee was stupid, had a shrimp brain. Shrimp are eaten, Dee does not want to be eaten like shrimp." Zaya complained to Evan innocently. He still cried while occasionally wiping his eyes with the back of his hand.

Evan chuckles, then stroks Zaya's back to calm her down. Then Evan pinches Zaya's tiny nose with anxiety.

"Who said Dee had a shrimp brain. Dee's the smartest kid you've ever known."

Evan reached into his pocket and handed Zaya some chocolate candy.

Tangis Zaya stopped even though occasionally she was still as hiccuping. He looked at Evan with sparkling eyes.

"This is for Dee?" Ask.

Evan smiled and nodded.

"Yes. Take away. After this we eat together, yes. Brother was helping Ms. Imas do the dishes, then in the same rice with fried chicken." Evan said with a happy face. The ma'am imas he was referring to was the owner of a rice stall located not far from the parlour. Evan often helps there when there is free time, and in return, he will be given food or a little pocket money.

Zaya prancing happily.

"Asiiikkk..fried chicken...." Exclaims.

Gone was his sad cry earlier when he heard the word fried chicken. Little Zaya really likes it, but of course the pantry kitchen very rarely serves the menu, so Zaya can only imagine what it feels like.

Flashback off*

Zaya's getting sobbing. After much that Evan had done for her, now only the wound that Zaya had inflicted on her guardian angel was in return.

Zaya also felt like she was the most ungrateful person in the world. How could he break the heart of the person who cares about him the most. Zaya was really sad to imagine Evan's current pain.

Suddenly a firm hand touched Zaya's shoulder gently, so inevitably Zaya turned her head.Show Aaron had got out of his car and stood behind Zaya.

The man flipped Zaya's body and took Zaya into his arms. The rubbing of Zaya's head and back, as if to provide calm for the woman.

"Cry if it makes you feel better." Aaron muttered while tightening his embrace.

Zaya obeyed Aaron's words. He was crying louder in the arms of Aaron, as if not afraid if suddenly Aaron did not like this attitude. But it does seem that Aaron has no objection and let Zaya spill all his misfortune.

Zaya cried until she started hiccupping.

Aaron leads Zaya to the car, then guides Zaya to get in.

Aaron gave Zaya the mineral water he had in his car. Zaya took it and gulped down some water.

It was as if Zaya had calmed down and stopped crying. They were silent for a while.

"Aaron, sorry..." Zaya's hoarse voice rang out breaking the silence. It seems that Zaya is starting to become aware of her current situation. He wept for Evan when Aaron was nearby. Is this man next to her going to be angry?

But unexpectedly, Aaron pulled the corner of his lips into a thin smile, as if to calm Zaya down.

"If you have something to say, just say it." Said Aaron softly, far from the impression of anger.

Zaya swallowed her saliva. He tries to put together the right sentence to tell Aaron about himself and Evan.

"Sister Evan and I are from the same orphanage. He did a lot of things for me when we were kids. I owe him a lot. That's why I'm so sad he left this way." Zaya tried to explain.

Aaron looked at Zaya.

"I know." replied Aaron later.

"I can understand what happened today" Aaron said. Zaya looked relieved.

But a moment later Aaron changed his face.

"But Zayaku baby. I just want to see something like today. In the future, I don't want you to cry for another man, especially in front of me."

"That's enough." Repeated Aaron again with full pressure.

Actually this man was very jealous and wanted to be angry since then, but Aaron knew if Evan had Zaya considered as his own brother, until Aaron as much as possible tried to accept what happened today.

But that jealous impulse made Aaron sigh slightly.

"Zaya, do you know anything that can improve the mood?" ask Aaron.

Zaya looked at Aaron for a moment and shook her head.

Aaron smiles.

"I'll show you." He muttered while taking something out of his suit pocket.

"Brown?" Zaya looked at Aaron question markingly.

"Yes, eat this and fix your mood. I don't know why I've been keeping this, ever since" said Aaron.

Although a bit confused, Zaya also received chocolate from Aaron. He ate it though somewhat reluctantly. Although maybe it will not be too influential on him, but at least he must appreciate Aaron's efforts to entertain him.
