Kara was deeply moved to hear what Dean's mother had told her. He did not expect if the accident to propose to Dean actually became something very happy for his future mother-in-law.
Maybe now he does not need to worry too much about applications that are not in accordance with his wishes. The most important thing now was the blessing of Dean's parents he had obtained.
Kara wiped away the tears that were dripping back on her cheeks.
"Why are you sad, Kara?" Dean's mother asked when she saw Kara's tears flowing.
"No, Ma. I'm not sad. I just feel so moved. I thought Mom wasn't happy because I proposed to Dean like a woman with no self-esteem. I didn't think Mom would support me so much. I was so scared to come here." Kara said while trying to laugh.
"Why do you think that? I really appreciate your effort. If I had to wait for Dean to propose to you first, I might have already caught up with his father. All that was in the child's mind was work, never thinking about what his personal life would be like."
Dean's mother seemed to be sighing.
"Maybe because he had to think about all of us. Ever since his father died, Dean has been the backbone of the family. She had to bear her sister's education and the medical expenses of her sickly mother." Said Dean's mother again sadly.
"Kara, don't you regret choosing Dean as your companion? In the future maybe me and his brother Dean will be a shame for both of you. We have no choice but to rely on Dean. I just wish I could stay healthy so as not to bother you too much."
Dean's mother breathed.
"I'd love to see my son happy, he's been carrying a heavy burden for too long. But so far, I've only kept bothering him. That's why I'm so happy to hear she's engaged to you. I'm sure you can make her happy. But Kara...."
Dean's mother stopped her words for a moment, then looked at Kara.
"Can you accept us too. Me and Dira, Dean's sister?" Ask Dean's mother slowly and carefully.
Kara's stunned. It turns out that Dean's mother was worried that Kara would complain that Dean would cover the cost of living for her mother and sister later, considering that they lived all this time in full responsibility by Dean.
Kara knows that Dean is the backbone of her family. He also understands that Dean is the only backstop for his mother and sister. Of course Kara won't bother him. After all, he also had a fairly established income at the moment.
"Mom don't worry. I accept Dean, of course I also accept Mom and Dira. After we get married, Mom and Dira are my family too. Of course families must share, whether it's happiness or distress." Kara said at last while clasping Dean's mother's hand.
Dean's mother smiled as she wiped her tears.
"Thank God..." Pleased speech.
"I'm grateful Dean will marry you, Kara. Hopefully someday you will always be given happiness." said Mother Dean again with a little sobbing.
After the scene between the prospective in-laws and the prospective daughter-in-law was quite moving, the atmosphere was relaxed again. Kara is back to being her who can turn the mood on. And it seemed that Dean's mother seemed more relieved to have expressed her concerns.
Shortly thereafter, Zaya said goodbye. He came home with his personal driver who has now replaced Aaron with a new one. The female sex, of course.
Now just Kara and Dean's mom.
They talk casually about some things. Of course the topic about Dean is more domineering. This is the first time Kara has spoken to her future mother-in-law for such a long time.
And so far, Dean's mother is very fond of Kara's cheerful nature. He became comforted by the babble that just came out of Kara's mouth.
Kara was finally able to be herself with Dean's mother. It was so comfortable and relieved.
By nightfall, Dean was coming with his sister. It seems that after work, Dean immediately picked up Dira and came to the hospital using his own car.
Dira takes over from Kara to look after Dean's mother, while Dean drives Kara home.
"We eat first?" Dean asked when they were in the car.
Kara looked up and nodded.
"What do you want to eat?" Ask Dean again.
"Anything." Answer Kara.
Dean also parked his car at a roadside dining stall that was quite crowded visitors.
"Eating here is okay?" Ask Dean.
Once again Kara just nodded.
They stopped by and had dinner at the shop.
Dean watches Kara who looks unusual. The cheerful girl looked more silent after accompanying her mother earlier. Is there anything serious Kara is thinking about right now?
"Did anything happen in the hospital?" Ask Dean then.
"Huh?"
Quickly Kara shook her head.
"No. We were talking about something fun." Answer Kara.
"Then why do you look like you're thinking about something?"
Kara is back.
"none. Maybe I was just thinking about Zaya. Seeing that her belly was already so big, I imagined what it would be like to be pregnant." Kill Kara while laughing.
If Dean knew that Kara was thinking about how to get Dean to take the ring off her finger. Kara always felt guilty whenever she saw Dean wearing the ring from her ex-boyfriend.
"When we're married, you'll feel what it's like to be pregnant." Dean responded.
"Masa? Are you sure you can get hold of me?" Ask Kara.
"You mean?" Dean knitted his two eyebrows.
Kara laughs.
"none. I'm just kidding." His words are interrupted by his laughter.
Dean just smiled faintly at Kara's laughter. It seemed that nothing would happen if he could still laugh like that.
After finishing their dinner, Dean and Kara continue on. But Dean didn't seem to be taking Kara home, but somewhere Kara had never been before. A hilltop that offers a view of the city center.
The lights of the building look like fireflies from up there. So beautiful in the eyes.
"Kara." Call Dean.
Kara looked. He saw Dean take off the ring that the other day pinned Kara on his ring finger. Then put her back in Kara's hands.
"Once I think about it well, this doesn't feel right. I can't accept this." Dean said.
Kara knitted her two eyebrows. Is Dean canceling their engagement?
"I'm sorry if you can't be the romantic guy you want to be. I even let you propose to me first. I'm really sorry, Kara." Said Dean again.
Kara did not answer. He's groping where Dean's talking is going right now.
"Now I'm trying to do it right."
Kara's eyes bought when she saw Dean pull out a small box from his pants pocket.
"Maybe this isn't like the proposal you wanted. I don't know how to make this romantic. But may you see it as something I do from the heart."
Kara bought her eyes when Dean opened the box. There was a ring there.
"Will you marry this boring and unromantic guy, Kara?" Ask Dean then.
Kara inhaled a lot of air to neutralize the pounding on her chest.
"Kneel, Dean." Kara said.
"Yes?"
"You have to propose to someone on your knees. Didn't I set you an example before?" Kara pretended to be upset.
"Oh, sorry. I forgot." Hurry Dean kneels before Kara so Kara can't help but laugh.
"Kara, will you marry me and be my life partner until I don't breathe anymore?" Ask Dean again. This time on her knees before Kara.
Kara smiled.
"Of course I want to, I don't need to answer you'll already know the answer." His word.
Dean smiled and got up from his kneeling position. Then pinned the ring earlier on Kara's ring finger. Then Kara got into his arms. He kissed the forehead of the girl he loved so much and he held his embrace as if he would not be released again.
Kara smiled back and returned Dean's embrace. Secretly disposed of the ring that Dean returned to me somewhere. Kara was relieved, Dean finally took off the ring without having to be asked. That means he doesn't have to feel guilty anymore and can continue his relationship with Dean without any burden.
Seriate...
