After being satisfied to look around the school building, Aaron invites Zaya to go somewhere. They walked down the road up the hill. Passing through the trees that thrive along the way.
Occasionally they pass through steep rocks that make Zaya rather difficult to climb the road.
Aaron paused for a moment, then extended his hand to Zaya. Grasping Zaya's fingers while continuing his steps, making Zaya can be easier down the steep streets.
And before long, they came to the place Aaron was referring to. The top of the hill is decorated with wild flowers and shrubs. There is a beautiful lake that has clear water below it.
Very lovely. It is like an untouched paradise hidden among the trees.
Zaya. He was amazed at the sight he was seeing right now. Unexpectedly the hill that at a glance looks only there are trees it turns out to save a place as beautiful as this.
"Very beautiful.." she said unconsciously.
Aaron agreed.
"True, very beautiful." she chimed in.
Then they enjoyed the scene in silence. Drowning in each other's minds.
"It was my grandfather who first brought me here." Aaron's voice then broke the silence.
"I was a teenager then. He gave me these hills because I won the science Olympics." Aaron started telling me.
Science olympiad?
Zaya wondered in her heart.
"Actually when I was a kid I really liked science. Since elementary school I used to attend the Olympics, even my dream was to become a scientist. Of course Mama didn't approve it because I had to go to business school and replace Papa leading the company."
Aaron paused for a moment.
"But Grandfather supported me, he allowed me to do what I liked. He also asked Mama and Papa to help me make my dream come true. Until finally when I was in middle school, I managed to become a champion in the world's Olympics." Aaron told me with sparkling eyes.
Zaya noticed Aaron's expression.See clearly there is a sense of pride on his face when telling about his success. But a moment later his face slowly became sad.
"But a year later Grandpa died, and I was forced to abandon my childhood dream. Papa and company need me. So after careful consideration, I finally decided to take up business school and help Papa in the company. And be me as I am now." Aaron smiled with irony. He seemed to have breathed heavily afterwards.
"This place is my secret place with Grandpa. I'll be here when I miss him. I've never brought anyone here before, you're the first." Aaron glanced at Zaya.
Me?
Zaya rounded her eyes in disbelief.
Being the first person Aaron took in to see his secret place filled with memories, Zaya never once imagined it. Can Zaya feel special now?
"Why did you bring me here and tell me everything. I'm sure you've never told anyone this before." Zaya looked at Aaron question markingly.
Aaron smiled and nodded
"True, I never mentioned this, not even to my parents. I'm not one to complain." Aaron chiming.
Then he looked back at Zaya.
"I told you because you're my wife. Right now you are the closest person to me." said Aaron finally.
Zaya looked at Aaron confusedly. He does not understand what is meant by 'close', because according to him, the relationship and Aaron are very distant. Not at all close.
"Aaron, can I ask you one thing?" Zaya finally ventured to bring out her curiosity.
"Say." Aaron seemed to be listening.
"Why are you so good to me right now. I mean, you bother to create a new school for me, just so I can interact with the kids. You also seem to figure out what I'm really into and try to give it to me. All of that, why did you do it? Can I know why?" ask Zaya quietly and carefully.
Zaya was curious. He does not mind if after this Aaron will be angry because he considers it presumptuous. As long as Aaron answers his question and satisfies his curiosity.
Aaron did not answer. He was silent for a moment as if he was choosing the right words.
"I want to thank you." replied Aaron at last.
"Thank you?" Zaya knitted her two eyebrows together.
"You brought Albern into my life, Zaya. He was like a miracle to me. Every time I see her, I feel like my life is amazing. I never thought I would enjoy being a father. Every day I focus on the progress of the company. But ever since Albern came along, I felt like I had a new direction in my life. Everything I do now is for his future. Now he really has become my world."
Aaron stayed quiet for a moment.
"And you are the most meritorious person to have delivered it to me. For that I want to thank you..."
This time Aaron said while looking into Zaya's eyes.
Zaya. His eyes were also fixed on Aaron with a difficult feeling to pin down. Can Zaya see the sincerity in Aaron's eyes. It seemed like what Aaron was saying right now was really coming from within his heart.
"I'm sorry I got you stuck in my world. Being my wife, you have to follow rules that hurt you a lot. You also can't tell everyone that you're Albern's real mother. But you have to believe, I'm doing this not just for my reputation, but for your own safety."
"My life is more complicated than it looks, Zaya. There are so many enemies in the blanket who are always looking for a gap to destroy me. I don't want you in danger because they know you're my wife. That's why I don't admit you in front of people if you're my wife. That's my way of protecting you, I hope you can understand."
Zaya stunned. He was increasingly unable to describe his feelings after hearing Aaron's speech. Has he misunderstood Aaron. Zaya thinks Aaron is ashamed of his background and doesn't want to admit him as a wife. But it turned out that all this was due to his own safety. Zaya doesn't know what to feel like.
"Run your life comfortably, Zaya. If there's anything you want, just tell me. I will try to fulfill it. But I have one request."
Zaya looked back at Aaron.
"W-what's that?" tanyanya nervous.
Aaron did not answer. He directed his gaze to the lake that stretched before him.
"Don't fall in love with me." she replied later.
Zaya stunned. Suddenly he felt his heart being hit by a huge rock. Unconsciously his body became slightly shaken.
"I can give you anything but my heart. So don't fall in love with me, 'cause it's just gonna hurt you. I've caused you a lot of trouble, Zaya, so I don't want to see you get hurt either." Aaron said in a sorry tone.
"Can you do it?" tanyanya.
This time Aaron waited for an answer while looking into Zaya's eyes.
Zaya was stuck not knowing what to answer. Aaron told me he would never love Zaya. Could it be because there was already another woman so she could not accept Zaya?
Zaya is like falling down a cliff. His heart was broken into pieces. His hope that Aaron could slowly open his heart to her was dashed already. His love withers before it develops. He doesn't know what to do now.
"Zaya.." Aaron's voice restores Zaya's consciousness.
"D-yes." Zaya stutters.
"Hows it? Are you willing to live as my wife without involving your feelings? You can stand next to me without getting hurt. Can you do it?" ask Aaron again.
Zaya tried to smile and nodded awkwardly.
"You don't have to worry.... I won't have feelings like you said. I'll be fine." she replied later
Aaron smiled as well.
"Good.." he said in relief.
Then they were both silent and silent for quite a while.
Because the sun had begun to lean west, Aaron took Zaya down from the top of the hill.
With their hands back in chains, they returned to the school building where Assistant Dean and private driver Aaron were waiting.
Along the way Zaya looked at the back of Aaron who was in front of him closely. Aaron's warm hands clutching his fingers made his heart warm as well.
Maybe in the future he will have to hide his feelings for Aaron closely, in order to continue to be on the side of this man. It would definitely hurt a lot, but it was better for Zaya than to have to lose. Zaya decides to keep her love for Aaron to herself. Enough of it and God knows. As long as she could see her husband every day, Zaya was ready to do all that.
