Since You Married Me

Since You Married Me
A Lesson

Zaya stared at the scenery around her blankly. His mind drifted somewhere. Although in front of him now lies a very beautiful flower garden, but still he did not enjoy the scenery.

It seemed that in addition to punishing Aaron, Zaya was also punishing herself. She herself had to endure the longing for her husband.

He's been here for almost a week, in Ginna's hideout. A villa that is not too big, but very comfortable to live in.

The atmosphere is very calming. Near the villa is a large flower garden, which is currently in full bloom. Not far from the villa there is also a small river that is very clear. Water splashing was heard up to the backyard of the villa, to add to the impression of peace in the villa.

Zaya felt calmer. The atmosphere of the villa is very supportive to clear the mind. He began to think that what happened was not Aaron's fault entirely. Maybe there are things out of Aaron's reach. Because after all, her husband was still an ordinary man.

And now, Zaya misses that guy a lot. During his time in hiding, sometimes ridiculous thoughts flashed through Zaya's mind. He imagined Aaron suddenly coming and hugging him, and begged him to come back soon.

Zaya smiled wryly. Somehow it can be quite absurd. Was it not he himself who insisted on going and begged his mother-in-law not to tell him where she was hiding. She even blocked her husband's contact number so she couldn't reach him in the meantime.

Aaron has accepted his sentence. He was so lonely and missed his wife. He could not stare at a face that could relieve his fatigue, or even just to hear a soft voice always soothing his heart.

He had suffered from having to endure his yearning for Zaya without being able to do anything. The only thing Aaron can do is wait for when his wife is willing to come back and forgive all his mistakes.

Aaron has accepted his sentence. But it is not the satisfaction that Zaya feels, but rather the pain, because it must make suffering the people she loves the most.

Zaya couldn't be angry any longer. It seemed that she was even more sad when she thought about how her husband was currently doing. Zaya missed that guy. Hugely.

"Mrs." A woman's voice breaks Zaya's daydream.

A woman in her mid-forties stood not far from Zaya. Her appearance had been very neat with a bunch of fresh flowers in her hands.

The woman that Zaya calls Bu Nia is the one who takes care of Ginna villa, as well as the one who serves all the needs of Zaya today.

Judging from her appearance, Miss Nia would definitely go somewhere, or rather visit someone.

"I'm sorry to go out for a minute, ma'am. Today is the anniversary of my husband's death, so I want to visit his grave." Ms. Nia asked Zaya for permission.

Zaya looked a bit surprised, but he nodded. He did not know if Bu Nia's husband was dead. Because these few days when telling about her husband, Bu Nia told me as if her husband was still alive.

Zaya wanted to ask, but she felt she had no right to know the personal affairs of others. He also abandoned his intention to ask.

"I've prepared breakfast for Madam. The lady should eat right before the food is cold. Madam also don't stand here for too long. Too much wind, the lady's gonna get sick." Said Bu Nia reminding Zaya.

Zaya smiled and nodded.

"Yes, Mom. I'll be in in a minute. Be careful on the road." Answer Zaya.

Bu Nia passed by leaving Zaya who was still standing in her place. Shortly after, Zaya entered and ate the breakfast that had been prepared by Bu Nia earlier.

An hour later, Ms. Nia returned with the ingredients for lunch. It seems like Bu Nia went straight to the market after visiting her husband's grave.

He immediately arranged his shopping in the kitchen and started cooking for lunch.

"I helped peel the roof off, yeah, Mom." Zaya is stuck in Bu Nia who is engrossed in the kitchen.

"No need, Madam. Let me just." Reject Bu Nia gently.

Zaya is approaching.

"Then I accompanied Bu Nia to chat. I'm a little bored." Said Zaya while sitting himself in one of the dining table chairs.

"By, Madam. What's the madam talking about?" Ask Ms. Nia without stopping her work.

"Anything." Answer Zaya. Then he was silent for a moment.

"By the way, how long has your husband been dead?" Ask Zaya later.

"Fifteen years, Madam." Answer Miss Nia.

Zaya was a bit overwhelmed.

"It's been a long time." Zaya Gumam.

Ms. Nia nodded.

"Yes, it's been a long time. But to me it still feels like it just happened yesterday." Ms. Nia chimed in.

Zaya looked towards Bu Nia. There was a very sad look on his face that began to wrinkle. Zaya felt a bit guilty. It seems like Bu Nia loved her husband very much and lost her figure.

"I didn't mean to make Mom sad, sorry." Said Zaya with regret.

Miss Nia hurriedly smiled.

"No, Mistress. It's not because the lady asked. I cannot accept my husband's departure after all these years. It was all because of a regret that had shackled me all this time. Until I still feel sad even though my husband has been gone for a long time."

Zaya stunned.

'Related?'

"What kind of regret has been so shackling to Mom all this time? Maybe you want to share with me to feel more relieved." Zaya is intrigued to find out. I don't know why he was interested in listening to Bu Nia's story. Who knows, he might learn a lesson from the story.

Bu Nia was silent for a moment, then sighed.

"My husband died in an accident after a fight with me." Said Bu Nia with a choked voice. His tears were dripping without being prevented.

"I accuse my husband of having an affair with my best friend, because I have caught my husband several times going with my best friend. He repeatedly explained that I was misunderstanding. But I don't accept the explanation and just believe in what I see."

Ma Nia sighed for a moment.

"And that day, we fought again until I ran away from home on a rainy day. He panicked and looked for me. When I saw me across the street, my husband ran across the street for fear that I would not stop. But suddenly there was a car passing by at high speed and hit him."

Ms. Nia started to sniffle.

"He died right in front of me. He still mentioned my name in his last moments. And what makes me regret until now is, it turns out he never cheated. After the funeral, my best friend came and explained that she was going with my husband because my husband asked her for help to buy us our wedding anniversary gift. He asked my best friend to keep it a secret because he wanted to give me a surprise." Miss Nia was so sad. While Zaya could only look at Bu Nia with a sad look.

"I regretted all of that throughout my life. I thought, if I had listened to his explanation at that time, maybe we were still together. But everything happened, my husband is gone and will never come back. I just hope he'll forgive me, and be willing to wait for his unfilial wife there."
